NBC has given a pilot order to Hatfields & McCoys, a modern-day Hatfields and McCoys drama project created by John Glenn (Eagle Eye) and produced by Charlize Theron and ABC Studios.
While I loved the mini-series earlier last year I just do not think that a series will be successful. So much of what made the mini-series brilliant was the cast, in particular Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton. I do not see either of those actors signing onto the series...

I don't know. The premise of setting it in a different time could be a complete hit and miss, if you ask me.
