This is a moronic decision in every possible way, and here's why :
Both Smash and Body of Proof are revamped, in a way, therefore allowing new viewers more easily.
NBC is premiering Smash season 2 on February 5. It would made a lot more sense to go head to head with this show instead of giving it a 2-week head start.
Now Private Practice or Parenthood viewers undecided on what to watch on Tuesdays at 10pm now that the season of both shows is over will probably check out Smash and perhaps stick around (assuming they don't have cable to watch the excellent Justified on FX). Those are potential new viewers lost right there.
They cancel the very entertaining Last Resort, they pull 666 Park Av even though they had said they'd air all 13 episodes, they pull Happy Endings/Don't Trust the B---- off of Sundays too after 2 weeks of sampling (one against the mighty Golden Globes), and now this... those are stupid decisions.
it actually makes sense because the Tuesday after the 5th Obama is giving a speech and bop wont be able to air that week and would have a 2 week break. This way they get to run uninterrupted.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
abc gotta be kidding me right?
ReplyDeleteSeriously?! They're playing with BoP fans. Not cool.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I doubt it's going to get past season 3. I've seen restructuring work out only a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteyou have got to be joking right I was looking forward to season 3 starting on feb 5

ReplyDeletethis is very good news for the show, as it means two less weeks with the apartment 23 lead-in, which is completely incompatible with it
