Rules
- Polls need to be TV/Movie related.
- You must supply a Poll Question, and the possible choices. Please try to keep the number of options to a reasonable amount
- You can only Submit 1 Poll Per Day. Previous polls submitted will still be eligible for posting (ie you don't need to keep submitting the same poll everyday)
Each day we will pick one submitted poll at random to post on the site.
Andre Braugher, who's terrific in Last Resort week after week,Jensen Ackles,Jared Padalecki,Matt Bomer and Benedict Cumberbatch(I just started Sherlock, but he gets my vote for Parade's End as well).
I went with Michael C Hall (Dexter), Damian Lewis (Homeland), John Noble (Fringe), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest) and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire)
Still, Criminal Minds is in its 8th season, most of the shows up there don't get anywhere near the ratings/audience that it does. Kind of unfair to leave it out :-)
Jensen and Jared from supernatural Joshua Jackson from fringe (and John Nobel but he wasn't there, I think he is classified as supporting) James roday and dule hill from psych But lots of great choices up there
I think you should only be able to vote for one choice in a poll. What kind of choice is it if you can choose five or even more in the 'what to watch' polls? Make up your mind for one person and stick with it. That is what favorite means. Just my humble opinion.
I get it. I LOVE Nathan, but there's on way I'd choose him as the best actor. Sorry Nathan, but there are better ones on the list. But hey, considering the huge Castle fandom on the site, we can just assume people are voting for their favorites;)
Bryan Cranston, John Noble, Michael C. Hall, Damian Lewis, Benedict Cumberbatch. There are several others I'd vote for as well, but not able to select any more checkboxes. :|
Voting for Scott Caan of course. There are a lot of great actors on this list, but I think Scott is very under-estimated. Watched a lot of his movies and he's a great actor.
There are so many I could vote for here, some for the comedic timing, others for their ability to really set the emotion. I've had to vote for Nathan Fillion though because he is one guy out of this list I would follow to any new show he is on in a heart beat. I dont think I could disllike anything he does.
I antecipate ridiculous results for this poll. My picks: 1. Andrew Lincoln/ Damien Lewis - i cannot pick 3. Michael C. Hall 4. John Noble 5. Evan Peters (this one was harder to pick... I could have also voted for Boomer or any of the POI guys).
Matt Bomer, no question...and that has nothing to do with him being exceptionally good looking, too, that's just a bonus. But he can convey more emotions in just his eyes than other actors with his whole body. And he has an incredible range.
Well, the question asked for lead actors, and the best actors in suits aren't the leads...it's hard to vote for them if you see. ie. Gina Torres showing them how it's done everytime she turns up....
Hmmmm... Jensen Ackles, Benedict Cumberbatch (luv Sherlock!), Timothy Olyphant, Andre Braugher, Terry O'Quinn (don't watch 666, but I love him i everything I've seen him in.) Can't vote for any of those thought provoking cable dramas like Mad Men since I have no desire to watch any of them.
I chose Michael Wealtherly he is so funny in NCIS. Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Simon Baker and Nathan Fillion are also my favorite to bad you can only chose 1
This is not a poll of who is actually the best actor--this amounts to who is a favorite--BIG difference! Probably the best are Damian Lewis, Michael C. Hall, and Bryan Cranston. They are not my favorites--my favorite is David Boreanaz.
Ok The Vampire Diaries is definitely a guilty pleasure for me - I love it! But Ian Somerhalder got a top spot? Seriously? I think he's a horrible actor!
In order 1. John Noble. 2. Damien Lewis. 3. Michael Emerson. 4. Brian Cranston. 5. William H Macy....... Alex O,Loughlin number 2 at moment REALLY!!!!!!!!! and David Borepants why is even in this Poll
I voted for Lewis (one of the best actors currently on TV, I loved many of his projects), Cranston (well,... Breaking Bad. Questions?) and Fillion (his show is pretty terrible and he has nothing to do there, but he's a good actor and, frankly, I just love this dude. He's funny and sparkly, I need more of that in my life LOL)
Come on People this poll is for Best Lead Actor Not Best looking Actor... And we all know Nathans gonna win because Castle is the most popular show on this site.... Alex O'Loughlin why!!!!!! David Boreypants Why!!!!! In his dreams...Simon Baker!!! again why... Just my opinion folks
Matt Bomer is incredible! He has me giggling one minute, then crying my heart out the next! He plays off his (wonderful) castmates in such a way as to pull you into to the story and leave you begging for more.
I've heard a number of eventual fans of the series say it started out "OK" to them too. I loved it from the start since it is my type of series with dark humor, sharp writing and intense, tightly written stories with nuanced and multi-dimensional characters.
I think Breaking Bad really hits its stride in Season 2 and frankly gets more intense and stronger as the series goes on each season.
I agree. I'm slightly surprised that John Noble isn't higher on the poll results. Surprised, because he is such a great actor and does great work on Fringe, even looking at it objectively without 'fan favorites' aspects. Not surprised, because this is obviously more of a popularity contest than actual great acting when compared on the spectrum of who's the better actor(s).
Simon Baker, every day of the week. He's a star capable of carrying any show, and his turn as Patrick Jane is incredible and multi-layered. One moment hilarious and charming, dark and tragic the next. He's crafted a now iconic character with his performance. How he hasn't won an Emmy is beyond me.
It does have dark humor.I couldn't believe the two guys they killed and one wasn't dead, and there he was stumbling down the street, that whole part of the story was great. Thinking back on it i should have said its good.
Are they on their 5th season? Do you know when the new season starts,i'm wondering if i have enough time to catch up?
Ha! ya... there are a lot more twisted scenes to come in the next 5 seasons.
Yes they are half way through Season 5 (8 episodes in).... The second half starts next year in the Summer some time, but do not ask me why they are not calling it season 6! XD
I'm thinking it was not supposed to be picking favorites, which is why the poll creator labeled it "best". It was meant to be who people thought were most talented, which usually ends up being a popularity contest unfortunately. But I don't think that was the original intention.
I'm a SPN fan but also a big fan of Person Of Interest and a number of other shows including Nikita and Once Upon A Time.
And I'm rooting for one of the actors that can play emotion well with very little expression needed (subtitle). Simon Baker definitely does that so I'm glad he's currently leading.
I've never watched Castle so I can't say how good of an actor Nathan Fillion is.
I voted Simon Baker as one of the actors on my list, but it was not for looks- not everyone bases on looks or else my list would have been a bit different. I love the way he can portray Jane's emotions over the loss of his wife and daughter. Those scenes are always done so well.
after I voted I went all the way up to see John Noble's name and it wasn't there. It made me a little bit upset, but then I read the comments and realized what you just said.
It was really hard, but when it came down to it, I had to vote Scott Caan (H50). The subtlety and charisma in his acting, comedic and tragic, is (in my opinion) something I've never experienced before, and is very moving and interesting to watch.
For the record, I voted for Simon because, yes, I think he is the best actor out of the lot. Be careful people, some here seem to be in our minds and know the thought process behind our voting...somehow.
Couldn' agree more! Anyone who believes Nathan Fillion and Alex O, especially Alex, are the best actors on t.v., do not watch much television. just saying.
*people when the person they want near the top isn't* - "This is just a popularity contest, they don't deserve it!"
*people when the person they want near the top is there* - OH, I am thoroughly enjoying this poll.
This is all opinion based guys, and no matter what you think you can deduct based on the popularity of the actor's show or their 'good looks' you cannot tell people why they voted for someone, you can't say "that's not the best, it's your favourite!" because, aside from those who are admitting to voting for purely their favourite, how the hell do you know? Just because, say, The Vampire Diaries is popular doesn't mean some people can't genuinely vote for an actor from that show thinking they are the best actor. Some of you just don't seem to be able to comprehend that some of us may not think Bryan Cranston or someone else is the 'best actor on TV'. Well, guess what, I don't. I think Simon Baker is.
And, lastly, let's get this straight - there will ALWAYS be an element of popularity in online polls, it is absolutely inevitable. But I'd like to point out that if this was based on popularity alone then the current leader would not be winning.
He is not maybe the hottest one but definetly Chris O'Donnell is a great actor. His characters is so deep person he gives his everything to show and when you watch him as G. Callen you exactly understand what Callen feels and what he has been through the years. I mean watch the episode Hetty told him about his family. COD FEELS IT and let us feel what he has been trough. For me the one who makes me feel his pain/happiness is THE BEST. Not the hottest one.
I have to agree I don't participate in them at all. Well I did vote for After Elton because my friends convinced me on Twitter nonstop until I said I'll do it LOL I only do them if it's reward related
And I have to admit I got a threat last night from a Castle fan on Twitter just because I favourited & RT the STV message on Twitter
As a massive Fringe fan, it always frustrates me when he doesnt get recognized by the major awards committees.
That said... the lead actor categories on TV right now are so full of legitimate strong talent, it is hard to crack that inner circle of names. Cranston, Hall, Olyphant and Lewis are really impossible to argue (and I dont even like BB or Justified..but they still are exceptional) then you have the likes of Hamm, Buscemi, Emerson & Lincoln as well. Reality is, they could make Best Actor categories 10 names long and Noble MIGHT make it, or, could still miss out.
I think he DESERVES at least 1 nod, but at the same time understand why he doesnt...hes just competing in too deep of a field.
Its a bit true. Favorite over Best would probably be a better term...but then some of the legitimately great actors wouldnt even make the ballot. Olyphant, Noble or Hamm arent exactly "popular" actors.
The problem is acting is such an opinion based thing, just like music. In sports, there is at least stats that can validate good/poor, in acting, its all an opinion. Even the Emmys & Golden Globes can be argued, because at the end of the day its all a vote. They dont call THEIR awards "favorite", they call them "Best" so this poll and ones like it aren't really doing anything wrong in the wording IMO. Its a POLL, just like the Emmys...except with a different pool of voters.
True, favorites as opposed to best is actually a different story.
At least you are objective enough to know the difference...lots of people here truly believe Ian Somerhalder is better than John Noble or that Stephen Amell is better than billy Burke only because of their physical appearances. I voted Hall, Lewis, Olyphant, Noble & Lincoln. Had I voted with favorite/like in mind, I would have removed Oly & Lewis, maybe even Lincoln & picked Dule Hill, James Roday & Josh Jackson probably.
I voted Hall, Lewis, Olyphant, Noble & Lincoln.. because I legitimately think those are the BEST actors in the bunch currently.
Had I voted with favorite/like in mind (like so many of you had), I would have removed Oly & Lewis, maybe even Lincoln & picked Dule Hill, James Roday, Jared Padalecki or Josh Jackson probably.
As someone who runs a similar poll on my site, I shake my head almost every year when I see popular actors beat out good actors for honours. Its 1 thing to LIKE an actor because of their charisma/looks, its another to look at their body of work as a whole OBJECTIVELY and pick them over more talented people.
I tried Breaking Bad, and while I will say Cranston is exceptional in his role, the show as a qhole couldnt keep my interest. Same goes with Mad Men & Boardwalk Empire. Sometimes good TV isnt captivating TV. I'm continually on the fence on whether I love or just like Homeland, and its arguably 1 of the top 5 shows on TV right now. I wanted to vote for Emerson as well, but went with Lincoln in the end as my 5th choice. I also picked Olyphant, who although I dont watch Justified anymore I saw enough of it to know he deserves the nod.
"Fillion (his show is pretty terrible and he has nothing to do there..." You obviously have no idea what you are posting! Castle is a superb show which defies any category. The acting is top rated. The stories are so multi level. You just can not watch an episode once. You just do not get all the meanings. The Characters are multi dimensional too. This could be a terrible show if inferior actors were given the stereotypes. Then it would not have lasted 5 year either. This also has 8.5 Million hard core fans. Very few shows ever achieve that! However that is not the case for Castle! The Action is top rated so it the emotional range these actors have to bring.
Most every other show with two main leads has both names listed. I'm pleased to see Benedict Cumberbatch getting some well-deserved votes -- he'd certainly be higher on the list if more people had discovered "Sherlock"! -- but it was Freeman's Watson that made me fall in love with that show, and his (BAFTA-winning) performances have been uniformly awesome.
Actually, if the poll were fore "Most all-around talented," I think James Roday would be fully deserving of a top spot! He IS a talented actor, but just as skillful as a director and a quite brilliant writer - I'm not sure there's anything he CAN'T do well.
COLIN MORGAN who plays MERLIN! He's the most talented lead actor nowadays. He is excellent in comedic and dramatic stories, as well as in emotional scenes. He does everything to the highest level!
he is a good actor but not the best... Paul Wesley is the best actor on TV with JOMO.. but it wont suprise me if Ian wins because he is way more popular than Paul..these are just popularity contest.. most best actors didnt even make it...pfft
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Where is Aaron Hotchner of Criminal Minds?
ReplyDeleteDamien lewis, timothy olyphant, andrew lincoln, john noble and jensen ackles.
ReplyDeleteI hate Castle and SPN fandom!
ReplyDeleteHugh Laurie - House MD
ReplyDeleteAnd waaaaaay too many choices
ReplyDeleteThere's no one at all from Criminal Minds, or Last Resort, or Scandal
ReplyDeleteJimmy, House is not currently on TV :)
ReplyDeleteA lot of pretty actors on the list, but I tried to ignore their looks and just vote for the best actors...
ReplyDeleteAndre Braugher, who's terrific in Last Resort week after week,Jensen Ackles,Jared Padalecki,Matt Bomer and Benedict Cumberbatch(I just started Sherlock, but he gets my vote for Parade's End as well).
ReplyDeleteI know, but Hugh Laurie is still the best of the lot :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's under "Other - Leave Comment"
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteI went with Michael C Hall (Dexter), Damian Lewis (Homeland), John Noble (Fringe), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest) and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire)
Still, Criminal Minds is in its 8th season, most of the shows up there don't get anywhere near the ratings/audience that it does. Kind of unfair to leave it out :-)
ReplyDeleteTimothy Olyphant & Nathan Fillion &
ReplyDeleteRemember these are User Submitted polls. Maybe the person who submitted it does not watch Criminal Minds :)
ReplyDeleteNone of the above! For me its Peter Krause - Parenthood
ReplyDeleteJensen and Jared from supernatural
ReplyDeleteJoshua Jackson from fringe (and John Nobel but he wasn't there, I think he is classified as supporting)
James roday and dule hill from psych
But lots of great choices up there
There is one from Last Resort on the list
ReplyDeleteSteve Buscemi, Damien Lewis, Bryan Cranston, Michael C. Hall and Nathan Fillion were my picks.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Lincoln, John Noble, Damin Lewis, Andre Braugher, Michael Emerson,
ReplyDeleteJim Caviezel and last but simply not least, Robert Carlyle.
John Nobel is on the list :) I voted for him ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't hate anyone, but the "best" male lead certainly isn't Nathan Fillion. He might be the favorite though.
ReplyDeleteJared Padalecki for me
ReplyDeleteMichael Emerson and Jim Caviezel (POI)
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker (The Mentalist)
Nathan Fillion (Castle)
Stephen Amell (Arrow)
Jensen Ackles, John Noble
ReplyDeleteDamien Lewis and Timothy Olyphant. Would also have voted for Charlie Hunnam, Sons of Anarchy. Thought he had a really good season.
ReplyDeleteI think you should only be able to vote for one choice in a poll. What kind of choice is it if you can choose five or even more in the 'what to watch' polls?
ReplyDeleteMake up your mind for one person and stick with it. That is what favorite means. Just my humble opinion.
Cory Monteith, Glee
ReplyDeleteWell it's up to the person who submitted how they want the poll run.
ReplyDeleteIan Somerhadler best male lead ????!!!!! ROFL
ReplyDeleteUndoubtedly favorite actor Alex O'Loughlin!!! :))
ReplyDeleteMichael C. Hall and Scott Caan
ReplyDeleteOf course, nothing to do with his looks, SMH
ReplyDeleteNathan Fillion!!
ReplyDeleteRobert Carlyle (Once Upon A Time), Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries), Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki (Supernatural).
ReplyDeleteI get it. I LOVE Nathan, but there's on way I'd choose him as the best actor. Sorry Nathan, but there are better ones on the list. But hey, considering the huge Castle fandom on the site, we can just assume people are voting for their favorites;)
ReplyDeleteYes to that! But I would also add a couple more;)
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston, John Noble, Michael C. Hall, Damian Lewis, Benedict Cumberbatch. There are several others I'd vote for as well, but not able to select any more checkboxes. :|
ReplyDeleteVoting for Scott Caan of course. There are a lot of great actors on this list, but I think Scott is very under-estimated. Watched a lot of his movies and he's a great actor.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I'm not going to try and convince the entire Castle fandom Buscemi is a better actor. Besides, it's a poll, not a death sentence.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many I could vote for here, some for the comedic timing, others for their ability to really set the emotion. I've had to vote for Nathan Fillion though because he is one guy out of this list I would follow to any new show he is on in a heart beat. I dont think I could disllike anything he does.
ReplyDeleteNot voting because it won't make a difference, I already know who won, he won even before this poll went up.
ReplyDeleteSame here!!!
ReplyDelete♥
Great minds think alike :)
ReplyDeleteI antecipate ridiculous results for this poll. My picks:
ReplyDelete1. Andrew Lincoln/ Damien Lewis - i cannot pick
3. Michael C. Hall
4. John Noble
5. Evan Peters (this one was harder to pick... I could have also voted for Boomer or any of the POI guys).
BTW, no Suits guys here?
Alex O'Loughlin!!!!
ReplyDeleteJared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, John Noble (he's awesome!) and Simon Baker
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston, and it's not even close.
ReplyDeleteHard choices...
ReplyDeleteI'm scratching my head here, this poll says best male actor yet we can pick five...doesn't make sense. The person who i pick for Best Male Actor is
ReplyDeleteJohn Nobel.
simon baker. my man. vote. now!
ReplyDeleteWait... Dark... Are you saying you don't watch Breaking Bad?!
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston, Michael Emerson, Joshua Jackson, Robert Carlyle.

..Jensen,.Jared,.Matt,.Simon,.Michael.(ncis),.Nathan,.Stephen,.Jay,.Joshua,.Mark,.Alex,.David,. Micheal.C,Hall,.Chris,.Jim,.Tim,.Jonny and Billy
ReplyDeleteYou mean the Castle actor? Yeah. Lots of Castle fans here so it's a default.
ReplyDeletejensen jensen jensen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMatt Bomer, no question...and that has nothing to do with him being exceptionally good looking, too, that's just a bonus. But he can convey more emotions in just his eyes than other actors with his whole body. And he has an incredible range.
ReplyDeleteWell, the question asked for lead actors, and the best actors in suits aren't the leads...it's hard to vote for them if you see. ie. Gina Torres showing them how it's done everytime she turns up....
ReplyDeleteI disagree. I think both leads, especially Gabriel Macht, are up there with these guys. I wouldn't say Gina Torres is a better actress than they are.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...
ReplyDeletealmost the same :) only Michael Emerson is on my list instead of Cumberbatch, but he deserves it too. Nathan Fillion? Who the hell is that?!
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston. I am really sorry about everyone who have seen him in action and still haven't chosen him :)
ReplyDeleteI chose Michael Wealtherly he is so funny in NCIS. Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Simon Baker and Nathan Fillion are also my favorite to bad you can only chose 1
ReplyDeleteI'll agree to that.
ReplyDeleteI voted for David Boreanaz, Nathan Fillion, Michael Weatherly, Ian Somerhalder and other for David Giuntoli (Grimm)
ReplyDeleteAlex o'loughalin ^_^
ReplyDeleteJoseph Morgan
ReplyDeleteI voted for Robert C from Once,Jay Ryan from Beauty,Ian & Paul from VD,Josh Dallas from Once
ReplyDeleteThis is not a poll of who is actually the best actor--this amounts to who is a favorite--BIG difference! Probably the best are Damian Lewis, Michael C. Hall, and Bryan Cranston. They are not my favorites--my favorite is David Boreanaz.
ReplyDeleteJohn Noble, no doubt!
ReplyDeleteagreed!
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteJonny Lee Miller, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Emerson and Jeffrey Donovan
ReplyDeleteAndrew Lincoln is so underrated, he is such an amazing actor!
ReplyDelete..The Top.Five...WOOOOW...handsome,.stylish,.unique,.Yummy,YUMMY,.versatile and SEXIEST,.......grrrr.....Total...MEOWWWWW....MENS
ReplyDeleteOk The Vampire Diaries is definitely a guilty pleasure for me - I love it! But Ian Somerhalder got a top spot? Seriously? I think he's a horrible actor!
ReplyDeleteBryan Cranston, John Noble, Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Nathan Fillion and Alex O'Loughlin
ReplyDeleteJohn Noble. No question.
ReplyDeleteIn order 1. John Noble. 2. Damien Lewis. 3. Michael Emerson. 4. Brian Cranston. 5. William H Macy....... Alex O,Loughlin number 2 at moment REALLY!!!!!!!!! and David Borepants why is even in this Poll
ReplyDeleteI voted for Lewis (one of the best actors currently on TV, I loved many of his projects), Cranston (well,... Breaking Bad. Questions?) and Fillion (his show is pretty terrible and he has nothing to do there, but he's a good actor and, frankly, I just love this dude. He's funny and sparkly, I need more of that in my life LOL)
ReplyDeletePaul Wesley ! Such a great actor !
ReplyDeleteCome on People this poll is for Best Lead Actor Not Best looking Actor... And we all know Nathans gonna win because Castle is the most popular show on this site.... Alex O'Loughlin why!!!!!! David Boreypants Why!!!!! In his dreams...Simon Baker!!! again why... Just my opinion folks
ReplyDeleteNot really liking these polls, they are just a popularity contest.
ReplyDeleteI loved Nathan's acting on Castle. He deserves to win
ReplyDeleteI did not need to see a list of names... Bryan Cranston. Period.
ReplyDeleteThat is what is the meaning of a Poll!
ReplyDelete...And that is why I don't like them?
ReplyDeleteStill. "Best" implies a certain amount of objectivity that I am not seeing here, why don't go with "favorite"? that is entirely subective.
Are you being sarcastic about Nathan Fillion? lol
ReplyDeleteMatt Bomer is incredible! He has me giggling one minute, then crying my heart out the next! He plays off his (wonderful) castmates in such a way as to pull you into to the story and leave you begging for more.
ReplyDeleteEither Jensen Ackles or Ian Somerhalder
ReplyDeleteHa! That's how i feel about John Nobel! :)
ReplyDeleteI finally started watching Breaking Bad,but i only got up to the third episode. So far its okay.
Andrew Scott, Misha Collins, Tim Roth
ReplyDeleteAnd really if they wanted to know who the Best is we should have been limited to one choice, not 2 or 5. this is more who your favorites are.
ReplyDeleteNothing like people picking fine dramatic actors for best male actor, yikes!
ReplyDeleteNathan Fillion!! Now go vote for him, Castle & Stana on the PCA website!!
ReplyDeleteMy choices R Ian somerhalder - Jay Ryan & Stephen Amell
ReplyDeleteTo me, the best out of all these include: Bryan Cranston, John Noble, Andrew Lincoln, and Timothy Olyphant.
ReplyDeleteNathan Fillion. That's it. :)
ReplyDeleteDark when does this poll close?
ReplyDeleteDamn, this one is hard D: Maybe Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad, and also Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a number of eventual fans of the series say it started out "OK" to them too. I loved it from the start since it is my type of series with dark humor, sharp writing and intense, tightly written stories with nuanced and multi-dimensional characters.
ReplyDeleteI think Breaking Bad really hits its stride in Season 2 and frankly gets more intense and stronger as the series goes on each season.
Nathan Fillion, Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Robert Carlyle, and Ian Somerhalder get my votes. :)
ReplyDeletebeing hot doesnt mean he cant win such a poll my friend, Alex is a great actor, obviously you know nothing about his previous roles!!!
ReplyDeleteOur polls never close :)
ReplyDeleteWhere are Revenge and Grey's Anatomy!
ReplyDeleteso how would we know who wins at the end if there is no end O.o
ReplyDeleteWe won't. You can view the poll at any time to see who is currently winning.
ReplyDeleteObviously the person who submitted the poll does not watch those shows or did not want to include them
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker, every day of the week. He's a star capable of carrying any show, and his turn as Patrick Jane is incredible and multi-layered. One moment hilarious and charming, dark and tragic the next. He's crafted a now iconic character with his performance. How he hasn't won an Emmy is beyond me.

ReplyDeleteAre they on their 5th season? Do you know when the new season starts,i'm wondering if i have enough time to catch up?
I love a lot of actors here but it's so nice to see Simon, who's absolutely brilliant BTW, winning for a change, even for a moment;)
ReplyDeleteSIMON BAKER, who else? :-P
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker, who else? :-p
ReplyDeleteNever mind for a moment, look how many votes he has, he's got a chance of winning - and rightly so.
ReplyDeleteHa! ya... there are a lot more twisted scenes to come in the next 5 seasons.
ReplyDeleteYes they are half way through Season 5 (8 episodes in)....
The second half starts next year in the Summer some time, but do not ask me why they are not calling it season 6! XD
OH MY LORD CASTLE ISN'T EVEN WINNING IT'S THE MENTALIST, SHOCK!
ReplyDeleteOR.... does watch them, but realized they should not be included in any "Best" anything poll....
ReplyDeleteBring on the down votes! XD
*ducks behind pillow*
Bryan Cranston, Damian Lewis, Michael Emerson in that order. Some of the actors beating them are laughable to say the least!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it was not supposed to be picking favorites, which is why the poll creator labeled it "best". It was meant to be who people thought were most talented, which usually ends up being a popularity contest unfortunately. But I don't think that was the original intention.
ReplyDeleteWell that's very general.
ReplyDeleteI'm a SPN fan but also a big fan of Person Of Interest and a number of other shows including Nikita and Once Upon A Time.
And I'm rooting for one of the actors that can play emotion well with very little expression needed (subtitle). Simon Baker definitely does that so I'm glad he's currently leading.
I've never watched Castle so I can't say how good of an actor Nathan Fillion is.
Definitely. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! so its an endless poll? thats one weird hard poll :D
ReplyDeletemahalo dark xox
Great, at least i know i'll be all caught up in time, thanks D! :)
ReplyDeleteIs that a pic of him?
ReplyDeleteI voted Simon Baker as one of the actors on my list, but it was not for looks- not everyone bases on looks or else my list would have been a bit different. I love the way he can portray Jane's emotions over the loss of his wife and daughter. Those scenes are always done so well.
Voted for TeamMachine, Miller's Sherlock, Simon Baker and Arrow <3
ReplyDeleteI don't think he's that bad, I like him, but he's certainly not a top actor, I agree.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Eric Christian Olsen? You cannot forget him.
ReplyDeleteObviously Simon Baker! If someone doesn't vote for him, it's only because maybe has never seen acting Simon! ;)
ReplyDeleteGotta go with Gibbs and Brody!
ReplyDeleteafter I voted I went all the way up to see John Noble's name and it wasn't there. It made me a little bit upset, but then I read the comments and realized what you just said.
ReplyDeleteHe is there.
ReplyDeleteI meant as nº1
ReplyDeleteOh I see :)
ReplyDeleteShane West for sure! Why Nikita isn't in the pool ?
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker forever!
ReplyDeleteWhats wrong with Ian?
ReplyDeleteBecause the person who submitted it didn't include it. Use the option "other leave comment"
ReplyDeleteAOL beating all those CW shows to become third (castle and mentalist are no surprises), H50 got power :D
ReplyDeleteYes Thank You God! FINALLY The Mentalist Is Winning Something Instead Of Castle!
ReplyDeleteMichael C. Hall (Dexter)
ReplyDeleteRobert Carlyle.
ReplyDeleteSimon Baker is the best, he can go from charming and charismatic one minute to dark and conniving the next. He should win an Emmy.
ReplyDeleteIt was really hard, but when it came down to it, I had to vote Scott Caan (H50). The subtlety and charisma in his acting, comedic and tragic, is (in my opinion) something I've never experienced before, and is very moving and interesting to watch.

ReplyDeleteI agree it should have been 1 choice.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, I voted for Simon because, yes, I think he is the best actor out of the lot. Be careful people, some here seem to be in our minds and know the thought process behind our voting...somehow.
ReplyDeleteMisha Collins,Ivan Rheon
ReplyDelete2 aussies in the top 3 hahaha go Australia Simon Baker is the best
ReplyDeleteCouldn' agree more! Anyone who believes Nathan Fillion and Alex O, especially Alex, are the best actors on t.v., do not watch much television. just saying.
ReplyDelete*people when the person they want near the top isn't* - "This is just a popularity contest, they don't deserve it!"
ReplyDelete*people when the person they want near the top is there* - OH, I am thoroughly enjoying this poll.
Of course Alex O'Loughlin my favorite actor is very good looking ;))
ReplyDeleteEn mi idioma... "Por supuesto Alex O'Loughlin es mi actor favorito con muy buen aspecto ;))"
Of course my favorite actor is Alex O'Loughlin!!! :D
ReplyDeleteHe is not maybe the hottest one but definetly Chris O'Donnell is a great actor.
ReplyDeleteed westwick (gossip girl) <3
ReplyDeleteHe's the best!!! trust me....
Bad choice...
ReplyDeleteJeffrey Dean Morgan.
ReplyDeleteI really like Nathan Fillion and Simon Baker, but i think that the job made by Simon is more hard,so I go with him.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree I don't participate in them at all. Well I did vote for After Elton because my friends convinced me on Twitter nonstop until I said I'll do it LOL I only do them if it's reward related
ReplyDeleteAnd I have to admit I got a threat last night from a Castle fan on Twitter just because I favourited & RT the STV message on Twitter
Baker, Buscemi, Cumberbatch, Olyphant and Carlyle for me.
ReplyDeleteyes the mentalis is very hot XD
ReplyDeleteI voted exactly the same as you did. Great taste!;-)
ReplyDeleteThere is no way in HELL Simon Baker does a better job than Cranston or Noble. Wow.
ReplyDeleteWha...wha...err... :(
ReplyDeleteMisha Collins! :D
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles!
ReplyDeleteAs a massive Fringe fan, it always frustrates me when he doesnt get recognized by the major awards committees.
ReplyDeleteThat said... the lead actor categories on TV right now are so full of legitimate strong talent, it is hard to crack that inner circle of names.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is acting is such an opinion based thing, just like music.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are objective enough to know the difference...lots of people here truly believe Ian Somerhalder is better than John Noble or that Stephen Amell is better than billy Burke only because of their physical appearances.
ReplyDeleteHad I voted with favorite/like in mind (like so many of you had), I would have removed Oly & Lewis, maybe even Lincoln & picked Dule Hill, James Roday, Jared Padalecki or Josh Jackson probably.
ReplyDeleteI'm continually on the fence on whether I love or just like Homeland, and its arguably 1 of the top 5 shows on TV right now.
I wanted to vote for Emerson as well, but went with Lincoln in the end as my 5th choice. I also picked Olyphant, who although I dont watch Justified anymore I saw enough of it to know he deserves the nod.
Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) is totaly missing here :-( he is one of the best.
ReplyDelete"Fillion (his show is pretty terrible and he has nothing to do there..." You obviously have no idea what you are posting!
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Timothy Olyphant and Michael C. Hall didn't get more votes. Especially Olyphant. He is brilliant in Justified!!
ReplyDeleteWhere the heck is Martin Freeman on this list?
ReplyDeleteMost every other show with two main leads has both names listed.
ReplyDeleteSimon baker hands down!
ReplyDeleteGood choices. I agree, 100%.
ReplyDeleteTed Danson
ReplyDeleteJeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) is totaly missing on this list, he is one of the best
ReplyDeleteNathan are you voting for yourself here too?
ReplyDeleteOnly Jensen... I see no one else!
ReplyDeleteDAVID DUCHOVNY is the Best! He is hilarious in Californication.
ReplyDeleteJOSEPH MORGAN - THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
ReplyDeleteCOLIN MORGAN who plays MERLIN! He's the most talented lead actor nowadays. He is excellent in comedic and dramatic stories, as well as in emotional scenes. He does everything to the highest level!
ReplyDeleteWHERE da puck is RON PERLMAN????????
ReplyDeleteJensen Ackles? Where are all the fourteen year old follow the popular guy fan girls coming from?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Colin Morgan? (from BBC Merlin) -.-
ReplyDeleteHe's a really good actor, and should be on the list!
JENSEN!!!! Only Jensen! The guy can ACT as well as being beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, don't think of Jensen and assume he's just pretty! He is an amazing actor, just amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteColin Morgan
ReplyDeletehe is a good actor but not the best...
ReplyDeletePaul Wesley is the best actor on TV with JOMO.. but it wont suprise me if Ian wins because he is way more popular than Paul..these are just popularity contest.. most best actors didnt even make it...pfft
Colin Morgan and Bradley James - Merlin
ReplyDeleteColin Morgan as Merlin.
