    He doesn't love his brother more than Elena. I mean, obviously his love for his brother is completely different than his love for Elena. He loves them both but in a completely different way. That being said, if Damon had to choose between Elena and Stefan, I'm not sure he would pick Stefan.. He would do anything for Elena in my opinion, like he would have done anything for Katherine. Of course he's ashamed of what he's done.. Sleeping with his brother's ex-girl is a little bit wrong. But we all know he couldn't resist. He's been waiting for her love so long..

    Or, maybe he doesn't wanna start a fight with his brother.
    That Stefan and Elena broke up is already hard enough for both of them. Telling his brother
    he slept with his ex the very next day, … Not so good. Don't forget the brothers were on a war path for over a century. It was hard work to make sure they don't kill each other.

    Agree with Ellie. There is no need to prove Elenas feelings are real. I mean, she didn't woke up as vampire and thought: I love Damon more than Stefan. She loved him before.

    well it does affect emotions bc loyalty is an emotion but your right, it doesn't affect all of them. I mean we don't see Tyler trying to get with Klaus. All the sire bond does is make you feel loyal and graditude to your sire. But yes she does love him and it is real and I cant wait for them to wake up next to each other!

    If "carina" is referring to the Zap2it writer, she confirmed no such thing. In fact she said: "I haven't viewed any future episodes of the show, and I'm not spoiled for any story beats specific to Damon and Elena."

    She does, however, share her opinion and her theories on the sire bond storyline in great detail. Here is an example of what she had to say:
    "In my opinion, the sire bond may have added an element of urgency to
    Elena's feelings for Damon. Being a vampire may have given her the
    strength to end things with Stefan. But I think you'd have to be blind
    to assume that the sire bond created love that wasn't there.
