one word! disaster! each relationship is ruined, Stefan is crazy mad at Damon, Damon broke up with Elena, Tyler is probably running for the hills, I would if I were him.. one possitive thing is Jeremy´s relationship with Elena... And Caroline cannot keep a secret! gossipy blondie!!
that episode was... TVD is really becoming uninteresting lately. what happened to all the fast paced plot twists and suspense. now the plot is moving at the pace of a snail.
What that was crazy but awesome Klaus was bad ass he just dropped like 13 bodies. Tyler is a dead man even though he might get sparred cause of Caroline. I liked the Damon Elena relationship but they just killed that. And thinking this cure was some potion like thing or maybe a spell of some sort looks like you have to dig up some guy's body who is an immortal but not sure if he is a vampire he might could be just some guy who has been lying in the earth with no way out. Kinda like when they said they were going to put Tyler in concert with Klaus essence. I am kinda glad Klaus killed off all of those hybrids cause they are really stupid they let them go on Damon's phone call that could of been a trick. O and i hope Caroline kills Haley for snapping her neck. I am guessing Rebekah will be back next episode too.
I don't see how they will ever redeem Klaus. And if Caroline finds out what he just did, that couple will never happen. I'm not sorry the hybrids are gone, they were awful. And I hope Haley will get hers, too. I was disgusted with how they are handling Delena. This show needs to let the fans have some happiness. The one side thing I did like was April and Rebecka. I like April. I hope this will give her more of a story. As far as a holiday ep goes, I wasn't that thrilled with this ep at all. I think it fell flat because there was nothing to care about with the hybrids to begin with. And the whole Delena thing is so poorly written. They should have given us some happy festive moments with them.
It happened so many things but at the same time seems like nothing too important happened . 12 people died, and even Tyler's mom, but i think that seems like it didn't make any difference on the main plot.
This season is different than the others, the plot twists are not that interesting and there are so many facts and theories but there is no action.
(sorry if I wrote something wrong, my native language is Portuguese)
..Someone could explain to me !!!.WHAT.!! .in hell happen here, the writer want to play with our MINDS this episode for me was a BLACK-HOLE.all crazy problems and storyline threw inside & try to blended to find some kind of logic i hope the next episode explain all the non sense because this story flat line my BRAIN..omg
Damon never told Elena to forget about him did he? He just told her to go home. Not to forget about him and move on. So in a way that might have built up some Elena pining and an eventual reunion down the road, that better pay off for both of them. Maybe....?
I really don't want them to find the cure for Elena. Then this prof. Shane helping them find the cure seems he obviously wants it for selfish reasons that will probably prevent them from getting it.
This may just be the best episode of the season for me. It had everything that my favorite episode, Masquerade, had: action, a little drama and a fast pace.
Seeing Hayley snapping Caroline's neck was greatly satisfying to me. Caroline has been way too judgemental these last few episodes and to see her "invincible" self that she parades around get put down by a werewolf was amazing. Good work, Hayley!
As for Elena and Damon, it was heartbreaking to see him "setting her free" even though it was the right thing to do. I just hope that even after this she still continues to love him to show that her love for Damon has nothing to do with the sire bond but it's the sire bond that's due to her feelings for Damon.
Santa Klaus! It was great to watch Klaus wielding a sword, ripping out hearts and decapitating people. The only thing I begrudge him this episode is killing Mayor Lockwood. Granted she was not an important character, I still liked to see her from time to time, more than her insufferable hybrid of a son, Tyler, at any rate.
We only got a glimpse of Rebekah but I hope she is resurrected. At least April will have done something good.
I thought it was great, is it possible that Shane is Silas? Also the whole DE drama was heartbreaking but he let her go and the kiss she gave him proved that the love she has for him is real and not because of the sire bond. Thats probably why he was surprised she kissed him. Another thing, im seeing Klaus hate. Now, everyone knows what happens when you mess with Klaus he will go after you and the people you love. I mean did you expect him to just let it go and buy Tyler a unicorn?
Honestly with the way this town decides their mayor I wouldn't be surprised if Tyler is called the next mayor... I have always supported Elijah for mayor but really Damon as mayor would be so much more hilarious. I haven't seen the whole ep yet so I'll give my full comment when I do =P
My favorite part of the entire episode might have been "O Holy Night" playing over Klaus' hybrid-killing spree. It was so deliciously out of place, yet it was so perfect. And Jeremy and Elena's hug gave me the warm fuzzies.
Actually really loved this episode. I agree it's mostly set-up for developments down the line, but I feel like it was absolutely loaded with character development and pushed that ball forward more than most shows would do in a single episode. I kinda have to agree that much of the criticism seems to be shippers who just want "happy" sequences, but this is the first time these stories felt like they were going somewhere better.
* Love the music selections. Total Julie Plec. Her most powerful writing always seems to be silent save for musical accompanyment. Kyle XY was like this as well.
* This was maybe the most beautifully shot episode of the series to date. Felt like they had more time or a bigger budget, but I doubt they had either. It didn't LOOK like a CW show today. I'll be on the lookout for future episodes directed by Pascal Verschooris.
* They mostly assuaged my concerns with the sire bond/triangle thing. I think Stefan is going in the right direction. I want to see him angry, I want to see him move on and focus on other things. I also like that they don't seem to be headed to an easy cop-out or retcon with the Damon/Elena stuff. Still lots of trapdoors that they need to avoid. Sire bond can't last the season, and the cure makes no sense for Elena, but simply stumbling into a magical solution would be pretty bad.
* This puts Tyler in an interesting position. There's no sweeping this under the carpet, he's going to want blood in a big, bad way. Much of the conflict in this show is in never-ending plotting and emnity in stale-mate, but this has to mean either Tyler or Klaus is on the way out. Seems like Tyler will have a natural ally in Rebecca.
* Are Matt and Bonnie really getting storylines?! You know Matt is going to be tied up in the April/Rebecca stuff (new love triangle?) and the Bonnie/Jeremy spark (and the incoming addition of her father) make me think they'll actually have something to do other than service the storyline needs of Stefan, Damon or Elena.
"This would be so much more fun if we were naked" What's stopping you? I felt so bad when Damon released Elena. But she still loves him. I hope, they will be back together. I have the feeling someone will end up on my table. Well, Stefan is pissed. Can't blame him. But seriously, what did he expected? Even without the sire bond between Damon and Elena, it was obvious they had feelings for each other. It's the reason Stefan broke up with her. What did he expect her to do? Live as a nun? Jeremy looked hot. Not so long ago he was a kid. Damn, how time passes. I'm glad it worked and he's not trying to kill his sister anymore. Interesting, it was Bonnie who helped him. Maybe they will come back together again. Damon was right not to trust Shane. I wonder what he wants with Silas. It's not that he wants just to chat. The 12 sacrifices are probably necessary to release him. The sacrifices and Bonnie. Why is she so blind? I really hope Ty kills Hayley. She would deserve it. I mean, I know that she wants to know who her parents were. But letting 12 people die for that? People she called friends? Or did she believe Shane can "bring them back". Is she really so naïve? IF he could do it (which I doubt) he would probably bring back his family, not hers. THAT is exactly why I hate Klaus, why I will never ever trust him or believe that there is anything good in him. He kills innocents for no reasons. I mean, the hybrids I could get. They wanted to kill him. But Carol? She had nothing to do with it. And he already knew she didn't know where Ty is, she called him. With his hybrid senses he probably heard it. And even if not, he could compel her to tell him and leave. Ant that idiot is wondering why he is all alone? Seriously?
I want Delena I want Ty and Caroline to kill Hayley together. What better way to make up? Should work better than sex. I want Shane AND KLAUS DEAD ASAP!!!!!
Redeem Klaus? They can't. This ep proved exactly what I've been telling all along. There is NOTHING good inside him. Nothing. No goodness, no love, no care, nothing. I bet Ty will tell Caroline. Hopefully they can connect dead Carol to the dead hybrids (maybe not. She was drunk. They'll think, she passed out. Accident). HA! The only chance Klaus has with Caroline now is, if he compels her. I like April too. At least now we know who will free Becca. Hope, the bitch changes her behavior toward Elena and her boys. Agree, Delena was a mess. With the sire bond and all. No wonder the fans were on a war path. JP said, she has to hide for a while. And Bruce said something about torches and pitchforks.
Let's hope Carols dead opens Carolines eyes. Caroline, stupid, naïve, little Caroline, started to believe that there could be something good in Klaus. Eh, wrong! It amuses me when teenage girls are so blind and naïve. "This season is different than the others, the plot twists are not that interesting and there are so many facts and theories but there is no action" That's because they made up shit, so they can keep Klaus. It's what I'm saying since S3. He has to go. I like him, I enjoy Josephs performance, but if they keep him just to keep him, the story can't evolve. Fans will get bored and stop watching. No one listens to me. Maybe the will when the show gets canceled.
Again (I hate to repeat myself): The story isn't evolving and patterns keep repeating. That’s what happens when you keep Klaus just to keep him. You make up lame shit and stretching it over 15 or 20 eps, what you could do in 7 or 10. He has to go, I'm telling since S3.
JP and the writers have no idea what they're doing, that's what happened. They are making up shit no one understands or cares about just so they can keep Klaus. That's the problem. They want to keep him, but they have no idea what to do with him. I say, he has to go, so the story can go on.
Silas is supposed to be buried alive. With no powers. But to tell you the truth, I've been thinking that too. Remember when he said (I think he told it to Bonnie) that he traveled the world several times? He's kinda young for that, don't you think? It should take years to travel the world once. That is, if you want to learn something, if you search for something (especially something that should be thousands of years old). So … many times? "Now, everyone knows what happens when you mess with Klaus he will go after you and the people you love" Exactly. That is why I don't understand people telling that Klaus has something good inside him. There is nothing good inside him. Don't get me wrong. Of course he would kill his hybrids if they try to kill him. But Carol? She had nothing to do with it. That is the point. He kills people for no reason.
Oh, come on. Did really someone had to tell Stefan? How stupid is he?
Damon loved Elena all along. And he dumped Elena, cause he knew she had feelings for Damon. He moved out, so Elena and Damon had the house to themselves. And they are not kids anymore.
Klaus killed Carol to make Tyler suffer.. killing familymembers is typical klaus... he killed katherines family, he killed jenna, he wanted to kill jeremy ...
As I said: There is nothing good in him. Some people believe, there is. That Caroline brings up the good I him and can safe him. Bullshit. No, there is nothing good or decent in him.
One thing I have to admit I love, is the upcoming power struggle. It's nice to see Tyler as an Alpha, finally being given an important role! I don't understand how the sacrifices will help Shane seeing as how he didn't do it himself. So sad to watch Klaus this episode, I hope he is able to get a friend soon. And every time I see April on screen I start counting down the days until her death.
Shane said, that the witch killed Silas lover before he could make her immortal. So, possible.
But you know that I doubt everything Shane says. Until he proves the story true, I don't believe it. Probably he tells just one part and changes some facts.
It's still a possibility that Shane is Silas. He says that he was where Silas and the "cure" should be. But if he is Silas, who is buried there? Could it be his dead lover? Maybe he does believe he can bring dead back to life. The 12 dead hybrids provide the energy needed. And the hunters mark maybe does reveal the spell to bring her back.
By itself, this was a good episode yet I'm concerned about what this episode may imply for the rest of the season. - First off, I'm okay with Klaus killing all those hybrids. It was a kill or be killed situation. I'm not okay with the petty spiteful murder of Carol. - Hooray for pissed off Stefan! He's so much more interesting when he's off the rails. - Caroline had no business shooting her mouth off to Stefan when she didn't have the whole story of what was going on at the lake house. Speaking of Caroline, Tyler was totally justified in being pissed off at her. (I'm not Caroline bashing. I'm actually glad the writers don't write her as "saint Caroline" anymore.) Lastly, I loved the restroom scene with Caroline and April. That was great. That was a horrible (and hilarious) way to find out the truth about Mystic Falls. Well done. - I didn't expect to see the the whole Jeremy/Bonnie thing being rekindled. It's a nice surprise. - The Damon / Elena stuff was good drama but crushing to watch. I expect a whole lot of pining between those two for the rest of the season. The longer they're apart, the more desperate they'll want to be together.
- Damon said he's going to be working with Jeremy, training him and helping him hunt vampires. TVD better follow through on that because that would be cool. - TVD might as well start letting the characters figure out that Shane is bad news. They've already established that the main characters need him so finding out he's shady won't matter much or change anything.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
