Okay as much as I loved this episode....Fitz's declaration of love for Olivia was such a rip off - of Greys Anatomy Derek and Meredith's scene in the exam room.
I was guessing that Mellie was behind the shooting and the guy that Huck used the drill on to be the shooter. HUCK!?!?!?!? Why?!?!?!
This was an awesome episode. Juicy all over. I found myself really invested in Sally making herself President....I had to actively remind myself that this isn't a White House *based* show. Politics plays an important part but it's not West Wing.
it was incredible. One of the best episodes I have seen lately. The acting was out of this world. Kerry Washington, Bellamy Young and Tony Goldwin really brought it home last night. And the directing was incredible. Well done everyone else. I did not see the final scene coming, never pictured that would be the shooter. Makes no sense in my mind in light of everything else we know, but i am in for the ride. He is by far my least part of the character and of the show though, so that means eventually he is killed off and his story is done for with a bang.
The best episode of Scandal yet. So amazing, romantic, intriguing and powerful moments. The scenes between Olivia and Fitz are so sexy and great. Sally is such bitch, she is crazy for power, like Cyrus, he's final scene is just a freaking reaction.
I didn't see that parallel until I read your comment. Being an extreme Grey's fan, I know exactly what you're referencing, I loved that scene and I can practically recite the whole thing. That being said, I feel that though the words or context were similar, they were delivered in two completely different ways which makes them both unique. Each deliverance of the monologue held true to the character and both broke my heart to listen to Derek and Fitz profess their love for Mer and Liv while still recognizing their infidelities. Beautifully written. Well done Shonda!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Holy shit, I was not expecting it to be Huck.
ReplyDeleteI kept expecting Mellie to go into labor, so I was surprised when she didn't.
That was a great episode!
This is the single best episode of all the series I watch. Undoubtedly the series best episode for Scandal. This is an exceptional piece of television
ReplyDeleteWTF Huck!
ReplyDeleteHah! Sex on the President's desk. Let's start the political jokes!
