  2. I was very stressed out watching this episode, lol. I wish we didn't have to wait till next season to get the full explanation for what Michael did at the end. :( I really enjoyed the episodes, but it all still feels so unresolved for some reason, which I probably should have expected, but I was hoping for a less suspenseful, and thus aggravating season finale. As a BN follower, I should know better :)

  5. Awesome episode that had me on the edge of my seat for two hours, but the shipper in me is angry and upset at the ending. I'm trying not to pass judgement on this ending until I see how it's going to play out next season, but I'm not sure how long that will last because once the shock wears off I think will probably have a fit about it. Oh the joy of being a shipper.

  6. did they give the guy they were hunting riley or card's job? Because it looked like they were being ordered around a lot. plus that suit did not look like he was going to prison. i hate cliffhangers but i liked the episode for the most part.

  7. Awesome episodes, I'll admit I was a bit worried for Sam, started to get really worried when they were operating on him on the pool table. Loved his reaction afterwards. "Did Fiona kiss me? Did you get pictures?"

Curious about what specifically Michael's deal was to get everyone out safely. And since they raised this up, I hope we get to find out and solve Jesse's mother's death. Give the man some solace. Olivia was fucked up this episode so I'm glad she got taken down.

Did anyone else feel that Fi's crying (or more the actresses) at the end felt forced or was poorly done? I don't know, I felt that it was good with the cringe and the back away, but the crying just seemed so fake.

Well all in all, amazing season of Burn Notice, and I look forward to its return.

  8. Okay, what freaking deal did he make? I guess I got the cliff-hanger, and hope they or someone figures it out because SUMMER is way too far to find out.

  9. Why isn't there a "HOLY S**T!!! THAT WAS INTENSELY EPIC" button?

  10. As a fellow shipper, I couldn't have said it better myself! XD

  11. omg im gonna go crazy trying to figure out what exactly michaels deal is. Why did fiona start balling at the end? I know that she wanted michael to get out of the CIA but if him being in it clears everything up for the rest of them how can she get angry at him for doing that. Also if Michael is going to prison or working with a different agency to clear the rest of them then she should be great full that he would do that for them. I mean he promised sam he would work everything out and it seems like he did. Plus he's not just gonna leave his mother let alone any of them in custody if he can do something about it. Thats really selfish of Fiona to get mad at him for that.

  12. Agreed doctorrose. While I thought the episode was amazing and perfect, as a shipper I am highly disappointed about Michael betraying Fiona like that. So either he cut some kind of deal that clears his friends and he is stuck working for the CIA and doing menial jobs for them in order to stay free from a prison sentence or there was a mention on the forums that Michael was in deep cover and he used his friends to bring down Card and "The Machine". So it begs the questions: Was it worth it? and Is Michael's Burn Notice still in effect? It seems to me no. He's a spy again so "I used to be a spy" should be taken out of the intro as well as "Trigger Happy Girlfriend" as Fiona would now be his trigger happy ex-girlfriend once again. If they don't get back together next season, Matt Nix is going to kill it for me. The joys of being a shipper are heartbreaking sometimes.
There was a line in episode 308 (the one with Natalie) in which Michael says. . .something like, . . ."You lock those feeings away and do the job at hand and as every spy knows, there's plenty of time to think about what you've lost when the job is over."
For Fiona, I know going back to Ireland is dangerous, but she deserves to be with her mom and her brothers and any nieces, nephews and sister-in-laws she may have. She should start anew. She gave up so much for Michael and he stole her joy and happiness from her by lying to and betraying her.

  13. I'm guessing that someone who is able to literally run circles around their best would kinda be in demand, especially when the truth came out regarding Card and Riley. So Michael will probably be doing really dangerous off-the-book missions in exchange for the others getting to walk.

  14. I feel like we are on the same wavelength because after I re-watched the ending last night I thought about the episode 308 with Natalie too. The ending reminded me of the scene after he slaps her for the cover, when they put Natalie in the room and start having a fake conversation. Because at one point Michael reaches out to touch Fiona's face put she pulled away and in the finale he tried to touch her put she pulled away.

Maybe its just me, but the scenes seemed similar. At least after that episode 308, in my opinion, one of the best Michael and Fiona episodes (309 Long Way Back) happened, which in away repaired the damage done in the episode the week before. But with the finale who knows what Matt Nix and the writers have in store for next seasons. There are a lot of factors that go into how the season will turn out (e.g. how much times passed since the finale, etc., etc.). I will admit there are a couple of horrible scenarios of how the season could go running through my head, and if anyone of them were to happen I don't think I could watch the show anymore.

  15. Betraying her? I'm sorry, didn't he take her out of that little cell, along with their friends?

  16. That he did, but he also made her a promise. And what does Fiona have now. Nothing. No home, no snow globes, a broken relationship, not very many clothes, no job (her arms dealer was arrested by Card). . What does she do now? She is certainly not going to go back and live in a new home with Michael at this point. He can start over, he's got the money, power and position to do as he pleases. She can't. She's not going to accept anything from him any more. I'm on her side for this. Irregardless.

  17. the Finale would've been GREAT if only Riley would've DIED when they gassed her and Fi wanted to let her Die and Micheal stopped her...Big Mistake!!!....oh well, next summer will BN last season, right?....im thinking how this Finale has set up for the Final season?....im just sayiing but it better end with Micheal and Fiona locking lips and with a wedding ring on her finger...☺.....

  18. I'm glad you brought 308 up. You remember when at the end he did the mission alone and he said, "There's nothing worse than losing a friend to bullets, politics or something personal." Then he says something like, "However, when there's a job to do, you learn to lock those feelings away and focus on the job at end because as every spy knows, there's plenty of time to think about what you've lost after the mission is over." I totally see this from Fiona's reaction in the finale. I wonder if Michael thought about what he did realizing that he could hurt Fiona like that. (OK I get that he cut a deal to give his friends complete and total immunity). What I wonder is, does he love her enough that he will try and make it right in season 7 or will he lock his feelings away and focus on his job. (She gave up her home life in Ireland for him (she can't ever go home), she's helped him out so much, she went to prison for him and in return, she gets an empty promise and a broken heart). If Matt NIx fails to deliver something great for us shippers, I will quit watching.

  19. I absolutely agree with you about this. As the show progressed we got to see how much Fiona meant to Michael, you gave great examples, the one i always think about is when Michael is talking to Strickler in episode 309 (Long Way Back) in order to find Fiona and Strickler says "Why don't you do your self a favor and just forget the past." and Michael goes "Fiona's not my past." and wipes out his gun and kills Strickler. Its moments like these that i love being a shipper, but the finale is defintily putting this relationship in jeopardy.

I agree with you that if Matt Nix and the writers don't fix this, I will be done watching too. And I'm not just saying that. I have stopped watching shows before because I didn't like the direction they were taking, e.g. NCIS, Doctor Who, L&O: SVU, House, Eureka, Numb3rs, Being Human (UK). In fact, I'm to this day still upset over what happened on NCIS more than 7 years ago. So I'm not afraid to stop watching one of my all time favorite shows. For me it will be about if the writers were to bring back that stupid story line of Jesse liking Fiona or put her back with Campbell. I would definitely be done if those story lines were to happen.

  20. I'm wondering if Michael was surprised that Fi could GET that upset. He didn't seem to understand why she was angry/teary, why she threw her toys out the pram so fast after the penny dropped. (If it'd been me and not Fi, I would have smashed them over his head.) But Michael seemed confused as to her reaction. Does he genuinely not get it? How can someone so quick on the uptake not understand why a woman like Fi would lose it over him basically choosing the CIA over her? --I'm interested to know if he has actually 'gone back to them' or if he's doing menial duty to avoid prison for everyone, him included. That certainly was a very nice suit he had on, and it wasn't a Westen suit.

One thing's for sure, it's going to be hard for Fi to look Sam or Jesse in the eye. Jesse might blow it all off and storm away to get a proper job (again), but Sam I think will smack Michael in the eye.

We'll have to wait and see, but it's already killing me that I won't know until summer!
