great episode! one of the best of these 8 (or 7?) if not the best since the pilot. Loved Helena embracing the Huntress except hasnt called herself that yet so she still has dc stories to come! crossbow worked. While i wasnt completely sold on oliver shooting all that stuff the effects didnt buy me completely is what im saying it still worked fine not to piss me off. I actually thought Frank was going to die and by her so that caught me by surprise. Great fight between arrow and helena! And the end with her being pist like that and going for revenge and biking away seeing her another day all was great and a great end to have her come back whenever. Tommy had a great amount in this episode and was awesome. Laurel was good to. Walter's story with felicity was good but honestly didnt care so much. Lastly, I liked Diggle's stance on this and thought he was great. He's smallville's Chloe :) except he doesnt have a crush on Oliver lol and fights instead of using computers.
Gave it a great. The content/story was well written, but some of the acting in the scenes felt somewhat off/weak to me, (between Oliver/Helena) but really liked that just about everyone got a scene and as much as I like Oliver/Laurel, I actually like the dynamic with Tommy and her as well (for as long as it lasts)....
When the ep started I got distracted by Oliver's form on the handstand pushups. I mean insanely distracted cause I wasn't drooling...I was evaluating his form! LOL
I liked a lot about the episode. The fight choreography continues to please. I like that Oliver isn't a static character. Glad Walter is back. I kept trying to figure out what comic character Helena is supposed to be linked to...can anyone help me out?
well, i kinda read that not as CW hoping we have lost our short-term memory, but mostly like Helena being confused about what she wants and who she is now.
What I got was that Helena thought they had just ran into two friends of Oliver, and only realize Laurel was the ex-girlfriend he told her about earlier when they talked about Aspen.
That said, I expected the "love of your life" and "the way you look at her" lines ever since I read about the double date. What I didn't expect was for her to react the way she did. I just thought she would take it as another thing they had in common, Michael was dead because her father had him killed, and Laurel may be alive but any future Oliver and her had together died when he got on that yacht with Sarah.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
All the Oliver/Helena <3 scenes were so overwhelming....
ReplyDeletei am still not giving up on them.... :) (hope to see the huntress soon)

ReplyDeleteOne of the few that I don't hate/dislike.

ReplyDeleteAnother great episode. Could stand to have some more training scenes though #breathtaking
ReplyDeleteHelena: Why don't you both join us?
ReplyDeleteHelena (3 minutes later): So, making me have dinner with the love of your life is what, Oliver?
Do you think we have no short-term memory, CW?

Helena is the Huntress - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntress_%28Helena_Bertinelli%29
ReplyDeleteAnother solid episode. Oliver and Diggle's friendship is probably my favorite on the show.
ReplyDelete...Tough..Ride.Episode..all emotion inside two person with different life background not a easy fit

I'm glad Helena is gone. She is too damaged, far more damaged than Oliver. I don't like her.
ReplyDeleteOne for the shippers, way too much love triangle crap and not enough crime-fighting. Cut out the romance and bring back the Island storyline.
