THE GOOD OLE’ DAYS — With Lavon (Cress Williams) preoccupied with his personal life, he lets his Mayoral duties slip at the worst time, as BlueBell’s Pioneer Day is fast approaching and a reporter from Southern Living magazine is in town. Seeing that he needs help, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) volunteer to help him out by playing BlueBell’s “Founding Couple.” Zoe is also trying a new tact when it comes to her relationship with Wade, which has her taking on many new projects. Lemon (Jaime King) and AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) devise a plan to get Lavon to let them cater the First Feast, in order to get some publicity for their new business. Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) gives advice to Brick (Tim Matheson) on how to handle his new relationship. Laura Bell Bundy guest stars. David Paymer directed the episode written by Veronica Becker and Sarah Kucserka (#211).

This seems like a good episode. I'm getting a kick out of Brick and Shelby so far.
ReplyDeleteYeah! At first I found Brick be very irritating in Season 1, but now I find him very charming as a father and who knew that the old man could pull such a move in the christmas house..

ReplyDeleteI'm sure Zoe will be overcompensating with doing all the coupley things with Wade, which is why he's acting all jerky in the promo talking about how GREAT their sexcapades are and such... And YAY!!! over Breakfast gang doing Breakfast gang stuff together.
I have a feeling Lemon will push AB to approach Lavon in order to get the job, which might be how he and AB begin getting closer. I really do hope that turns into a serious relationship. And yes, I am still holding out hope for and AB/Lavon romance.
Brick/George stuff are always fun so that could turn into a nice funny and fun B-story.
