I'm starting to think that this is the last season for both CSI: NY and Parenthood, seeing as how their respective networks are finishing their seasons earlier this year. I don't want it to happen but I'm afraid it will :(
ReplyDeleteFinally! Thanks for posting this. No more mid-season news to look forward to, I guess.
ReplyDeleteWell, almost -- because it just occurred to me today that ABC did not reveal the premiere date for "Mistresses", which was initially slated for a Summer 2013 launch and got moved up to mid-season. The Alphabet's press release earlier this week revealed premiere dates in April and May, yet the Alyssa Milano-starrer was nowhere to be seen.
Also, where is CBS' "Friend Me"? (One foot in the grave, might I assume?)
Parenthood, they always have shorten seasons, it may have to do with the actors. I think they are fairly expensive actors and that they would prefer to have more leisure time to do other projects. As for CSI most likely, they almost cancelled it last year. It looks like they might just be finishing up story lines.
ReplyDeleteI think Friend Me will be a burn off somewhere.
ReplyDeleteSo HIMYM is coming back in February after the hour long episode.?
ReplyDeleteParenthood is 1 season away from Syndication after this current one, no way NBC are cancelling it when it scores 1.7-2.0 ratings at 10pm on NBC
ReplyDeletethe co-creator of Friend Me unfortunately commited suicide so I doubt it will ever air, unless it does. I never believed Mistresses was moved to midseason, it was always slated for Summer 2013.
ReplyDeleteThe shorter episode order for "Parenthood" has nothing to do with the actors. It's about the show's ratings and lack of room on the schedule due to NBC's attempts to launch new (and more successful) series.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big "Parenthood" fan and really rooting for it to continue, but it looks like NBC will have to cut its losses after being very patient for a long period of time, which wouldn't have happened on any other network.
I have to wait till February for HIMYM? This kind of sucks for my excitement over the next three episodes.
ReplyDeletewhere's POI?
ReplyDeleteHave to wait over a month for the next episode of HIMYM after the one hour long is gonna be horrible!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy ABC's shows stars just in january and CBS's only in february?
ReplyDeleteDifferent networks, different schedules.
ReplyDeleteI think the days above are only for the mid-season specific shows. If all of CBS's lineup was coming back in February they would probably have every day of the week up there.
ReplyDeleteMy point is that Parenthood's seasons seem to have been shorter and shorter since its mid-season debut in 2010. So until NBC releases their fall schedule, we never know if the show's been renewed or not.
ReplyDeleteYou've got a point with CSI: NY, though. The last 2 season finales were written to also serve as series finales, if necessary. The finale in February might very well be the series one.
I would actually have left golden boy on tuesdays the entire season and send vegas to fridays to die. it will be done at the end of the season anyway
ReplyDeleteidk why, but thursday isn't on the list at all
ReplyDeleteThere are no changes to the schedule on Tuesday (except for a one-time preview of "Golden Boy") and Thursday nights so those nights aren't included.
ReplyDeleteYep, exactly :)
ReplyDeleteHappy for Rules of Engagement...Love the new Monday time slot.......its Much Much better then last year when it got the Dreaded Saturday 8pm slot...but it survived, lol...☺....
ReplyDeleteThis is not a schedule for when all shows come back from winter hiatus, but for new shows and shows premiering new seasons. All of the other shows listed here (The Mentalist for example) return in January, don't worry.
