Most of the most watched shows are on CBS and while they may not necessarily be deep original content, they are well written, well executed and usually very well done dramas with real stories.
If we include basic cable channels then AMC and FX are far, far ahead of their competition...
AMC has dominated the Emmy Awards with Mad Men and Breaking Bad, add in The Walking Dead and Hell on Wheels and that's 4 great series.
FX is no less impressive (is not more in honesty), but has not garnered the awards to this point. With Justified, Sons of Anarchy and American Horror Story (by far the lesser of the three) currently being top notch shows and past gems like The Shield, Damages, Nip/ Tuck, and Rescue Me FX has created some of the most original and compelling drama content on TV anywhere.
I have to say USA Networks has the best number of scripted shows with 11 followed by CBS with 5 and Sci Fi with 4 Then ABC with 3 then NBC with 1 that I regularly watch.
HBO, FX, AMC. Fox and ABC have had some great shows in their times. NBC has fallen a lot in recent years but comedies like Community and Parks make up for that. Only networks I'm not fans of are CW and CBS.
CBS (The Mentalist, The Good Wife, NCIS LA) and Fox (Fringe, Glee, New Girl) In the past I would also have chosen for ABC, but other then Grey's and OUaT they dissapoint me.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

FX - Justified and Sons of Anarchy.
ReplyDeleteSecond, AMC, Mad men and The Walking Dead
If we can vote for HBO, I´d say that comes in second for me (I really love Justified).
I watch 5 shows on The CW, 6 shows on ABC, 3 on CBS, 3 on Fox and 4 on NBC. But my favourite is The CW haha
