  1. Was I the only one who looked at the new baddie and thought he was like a James Bond...with connections? It must have been the accent. ;)

In all, a great episode! Definitely worried for Carter. She's a good cop, and she's only doing her job, but I'm getting worried for her if she keeps asking questions. Nothing good can come of it, and she narrowly evaded Stanton's bullets!

Finch looked so out of place and uncomfortable in the surgery room. If the situation wasn't so serious, it would be funny!

Can't wait for the next episode!

  2. Great eppy! Very fast & convoluted, multiple storylines. Wesley knew Reese by NAME and Instanbul........please let us get a flashback of CIA Reese! And the final scene, with Reese & Carter was draw dropping...........and when Reese mentioned he no longer had someone who cared about him, to be used as leverage by the bad guys, Carter KNEW he was talking about Jessica .......

  3. Another recurring character, another potential recurring character, and another story arc. Brilliant

  4. Another fantastic ep! Nice was to get Leon back, even for just a short while. I'm sure we'll see him again, perhaps as added computer backup when Root shows up again.... Nice to see everyone getting some time, but getting worried for Carter and the hole that's threatening to trap the team.... Nice intro on the new baddie/nemesis as we will most likely see him again and his "games"... best line of the night: "Ugh, it's squishy!" gotta love squeamish Finch.... lol

  5. Wow. All I can say is wow. In typical POI fashion, there was more to the episode then it seemed. Only this time, there was much, much more. To go up against someone like MI6 that also uses cameras and has their angles covered just like Reese and Finch do was a brilliant idea. It was like going up against a similar person to Root only this time with a team. Very suspensful, very intriguing, very edge-of-your-seat episode. I think one of the best episodes of the series.

  6. Brilliant episode, Bond fever is in the air but POI is the real deal,

    Awesome on every level.

Worthy opponent for Reese from MI-6.

    Cara planning something big...

    Finch back in the field.

Lion as the possible new asset.

    Amazing Carter and Fusco.

  7. This was not one of my favorite episodes....

For some reason the writers of this episode felt the need to really spell out every detail to the extreme. From Carter reading the address aloud, mentally connecting the dots, pausing and then putting a slash between the "66" and the "11th" as if she could not visualize such a complex code or something. Who needed that slash to put it together? What detective would do that on evidence? Then the nurse saying she was the "back-up plan" as if anybody could have missed that fact. This was one of the most dumbed-down episodes of the series. It removed most of what elevates Person of Interest from the more generic procedurals on TV.

There was not much real mystery since it was established early in the episode that this week's number was coerced. No danger elements for any of Team Machine... The episode suffered from the constraints of being a procedural. They play up the super villain as highly skilled and dangerous, but. how effective and dangerous could Wesley be if his detailed action planned far ahead of time, backed up by a multi-member team of professionals was foiled by a single operator under 45 minutes working ad hoc. I guess he was skilled enough to escape in the end after his plan fell apart.

The A-story was far less interesting to me than the B-story with Carter and Agent Snow.Even that was nothing new to viewers though honestly, but it did let Carter and Reese into the fact that Snow is being handled by "someone".

There were some fun aspects of the episode though so it was not all bad.

    - Having Finch face his hospital phobia by diving into the chest cavity hands first was great!

    - Julian Sands was a fun guest star. I thought Sands was creepy when he was younger, but age has made him unexpectedly even more creepy! Ack!

    - Some comic relief with Tao and Bear even if it felt a bit heavy-handed to me.

    - I liked that they moved the Kara plot forward by letting Carter know that Agent snow is not acting on his own, but it was a baby step really...

Over all this was just an "OK" episode for me and I hope that this dumbed-down episode is not the beginning of a trend....

  8. Excellent episode. I love the storylines, Westley looks like another smart villain and worse, he knows Reese past. Great idea created an arc for Carter. Great action scenes and a good return for Leon.

  10. Couldn't have said it better! I too was annoyed by the writing in this episode, especially during that Carter scene and the forced ''Who would be dumb enough to put himself in a life threatening situation twice?'' line... It's too bad, because this could have been one of the more exciting episodes!

One thing though; as an introduction to Wesley's character, I thought it was fine. I did buy that Reese and Finch could stop him with the help of Fusco and Leon. As you said, he had this thing planned for a while, and that's what ended up stopping him in the end. His plan alerted the Machine, which in turn helped Finch by giving him information he never could have gotten otherwise. But Wesley knows that now, and he even knows who Reese is. That makes him one step ahead of them.

Man Julian Sands is a great actor can play anything he did great as Jor-El in Smallville, The Doci in Stargate, i bet more than that. And now we have him as a new recurring villain wesley who is....? What's his background again they said? Ex-MI6? He knew Reese. And it looks like Snow isnt really a threat anymore its the girl whose controlling him. whats her name again? Sorry memory sucks with this.

  12. I guess it's true that even the best laid plans by the most brilliant strategic minds do not take into account that an AI supercomputer would uncover the scheme and help 2 specialists save the intended target XD
