Solid ep. The Dwight interview prank was a riot (why couldn't they have written Nellie like this last season, I liked her in this ep), as was the Oscar/Kevin/Senator drama, but the Andy/Erin stuff was pretty meh and was obvious set up for a possible romantic triangle with Pete
I thought it was a pretty great episode, especially the prank, but it felt a bit more disjointed than usual. Just when I was waiting for something more to happen with one story line, they cut to another. That bugged me a bit. Seeing Josh Groban again was a nice surprise, though!
The prank on Dwight was brilliant, and finally they had a good use for Nellie. Erin continues to be awesome and adorable, and they keep ruining Andy as a character by making him seem like this insensitive, blind idiot. Bring back the Andy that drove all the way to Tallahassee to get Erin back, and drop this whole stupid love triangle. Some of the Oscar/Kevin stuff was funny, like how Angela was saying the Senator was just getting pounded by a mexican.
I find the characterisation of Andy this season really weird, he is a total asshole and judging by the obvious love triangle they are setting up with Erin and the new Jim it seems we are meant to root for this couple over Andy/Erin. Now this is perfectly fine, Erin does deserve better and it would be a nice way to link it back to the beginning of the show when the actual Jim fell for Pam.
But I just don't see the whole point of the awful Erin/Andy storyline of last season. What was the point of Erin acting all weird and creepy when Andy got a new girlfriend, what was the point of Andy driving all the way down to Florida to declare his love if they were only going to turn him into a douchebag and put her with a new boyfriend?
It just seems really weird.
Anyway I did love the prank and Nellie is so much better this season. Also Kevin trying to keep Oscar's secret was great.
So glad to finally see an episode where Andy isn't completely annoying! It was also cool to see Josh Groban's hilarious cameo towards the end, defintely forgot he was due to make an appearance. Dwight was hilarious in this one, also funny to see Catherine Tate doing her best American accent. The back and forth between Oscar and Kevin was funny, too. I didn't think Kevin would be able to hold Oscar's secret. I kept waiting for him to blab and Angela not even believe him.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Haven't enjoyed The Office for a long while, but the scenes with Dwight on the phone had me in stitches.
