Trailer Teaser
I’d be happy if he died tomorrow

Thank you for the teasers! It feels like this season is getting darker and darker with each episode.
ReplyDeleteMerlin seems to be the only one knowing what's really happening here. He'll be the hero who will makes things right and I can't wait to see him use his powers, logic and intelligence at play again... I can't wait to see him as old Emrys too!
ReplyDeleteThe only problems I have with the show is that Merlin seems to be using magic even less and is far weaker then Morgana and Arthur has even less respect and confidence for Merlin then ever before.I just don't get it any more how the writers can have Arthur treat him like this after how many years? Please get the guy some new clothes cause in today's world those would have been so old they would have fallen off of him by now.
ReplyDeletethanks for these Sandi... so are there any decent Arwen scenes in this one?
ReplyDeleteOK I guess there will probably be, but obviously they will all be twisted
seeing as Gwen is enchanted... really cruel on Arwen fans though, that just
when we're getting some decent scenes, one of the parties is under a spell!!
grrr....
in any case about the first line of the teasers, I think that is actually told
by Arthur to Gwen or vice versa whilst they are on a picnic. I saw some
pictures of a scene apparently where they go for a picnic and from the teaser
of the next episode, it seems that they were on their way to such a picnic as
Arthur is wearing his white shirt, and there is only Merlin and Gwen with them.
Not exactly spell. More like a psychological condition due to the hallucinations. Morgana already tried spells last seasons to use Gwen, but that backfired, so now she did something far more simple - drove her borderline insane, which makes getting Gwen back to normal far harder and far interesting in terms of narrative.
ReplyDeletehaha yeah, I don't understand how he keeps that outfit so clean and hole free!
ReplyDeleteThe opening of the episode is a special day for the King and Queen, I think it could be the same picnic :)
ReplyDeleteOhh, is there hope for any special Arwen moments? A kiss, maybe? Please say yes!
ReplyDeleteIs there any good amount of Merlin himself in this episode?
ReplyDeleteWhat's your general opinion on this episode? Will the fans like it?
ReplyDeleteMerlin is with them and watching them have a good time together like he did while Arthur and one of his girlfriends in series 2 / Arthur and Gwen in series 3 / Arthur and Mithian in series 4 had a good time, I guess. Why can't Merlin have a nice picnic with someone appreciating him too? I'd love to see Merlin in a destressing scene, having happy moments too... Is this show still entitled "Merlin"? ...
ReplyDeleteAhh, in that I guess not the same picnic as we don't see the meal.
ReplyDeleteok... that is good... at least we do get a picnic, and hopefully an Arwen moment somewhere there... but please prepare me for this scenario (like you so gently did last episode): if it is a special moment for them etc, will it be twisted and ruined by Gwen's enchantment? as in, them sleeping in bed was ruined by the fact she was enchanted and sneaked out... now this picnic, will she also be under the effect of the spell or is it an effect that comes and goes? and they can really enjoy the moment between them, whatever the occasion, without Gwen pretending she is happy? that is all i need to know :)
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't understand... Is there two picnics during the episode?
ReplyDeleteto be honest all the arwen scenes will be with an enchanted gwen now, so they'll all be pretty meaningless i guess as she's trying to kill him - until gwen is no longer enchanted (can't come soon enough for me!) any arwen scene won't really be an proper arwen scene ... sigh
ReplyDeletelmaoo maybe he just buys the same clothes when he is going shopping.
ReplyDeletethanks for the teasers Sandi! I'm really upset about what they are doing to Gwen...but I hope the next episode is good.
ReplyDelete“This is nice isn't it? Just the two of us” Gwen to Arthur.
ReplyDeleteThere was a return from picnic filmed in Pierrefonds in September with Arthur, Gwen and Merlin in the same clothes as in episode 7. I don't know, what's the point of two similar scenes? And why is Merlin with Arthur and Gwen on the 'romantic' journey? This show is so frustrating sometimes...
ReplyDeleteNo actual picnic takes place in this episode, the clip here - http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/11/merlin-episode-507-lesson-in-vengeance_11.html interrupts them from going on it
ReplyDeleteMaybe the second picnic is after Gwen's curse has been lifted and they go again to spend this special day with each other?
ReplyDeleteYep
ReplyDeleteHmm, I liked it quite a lot. I'm a fan of the knights so it's great to see more of them, thou I'd say there is less screen time for them than there was in the last episode. I think it was pretty much balanced out cast wise, which always makes for a good episode for me :)
ReplyDeleteNot quite... ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll update the post tomorrow with half the names.
Yeah, the curse is a constant thing.
ReplyDeleteIt does doesn't it. Cursed Gwen does a terrible thing in this episode, I'm hoping the consequences of it are something she has to work through when it's lifted. But like the bangle last year, I'm guessing it will be forgotten in later eps :(
ReplyDeleteArthur to Gwen, right?
ReplyDeleteMy bet is it'll be Morgana & Gwen, or Gwen cheating on Arthur. She can only do it under a spell after all. "As long as I live my feelings for you will never fade" were all empty words. Something fitting for the episode at the time. So frustrating this show!
ReplyDeleteI'm taking 2 wild guesses with this one. Either It has to do something with the stable boy in that Gwen sets him up to take the fall and he's executed or Gwen poisons Arthur and he almost dies.
ReplyDeleteOoh I'm so excited. I'm going to trust you with this one because I'm probably in the minority but I loved Episode 6 and I think you said at the time it was a good episode. I went into it with eyes wide open, and it didn't disappoint. Although, seriously the CGI snakes were awful...:)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Gwen said a lot to Lancelot and look how it turned out... But then again, Arthur says he loves her all the time and yet has better chemistry with Merlin, so they are quite a pair.
ReplyDeleteIt's always Merlin preparing picnics for Arthur since Merlin does everything for him even writing messages to his girlfriends and picking flowers and offering them. Merlin also prepares the meals and takes them with him in big bags for the romantic picnic he will not take part of.
ReplyDeleteI see. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou makes me happy. <3
ReplyDeleteDoes old Merlin / Emrys get a lot of screentime in this episode? I love this side of Merlin so much too! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt would be better if it's Merlin telling this to Gwen or Gwen telling this to Merlin... A nice conversation/scene between the two of them is long overdue!
ReplyDeleteoooohhhhh I rally hope so :) :) at last that is still something to look forward to
ReplyDeleteoh i see... ah well guess its another disappointing Arwen episode then... nothing really nice happening so far after 6 episodes already!!! really, really disappointing.
ReplyDeleteoh my don't say that... I still have not got over the bangle thing from last year. i cannot bear something else going terribly bad. i am hoping that whatever happens, Gwen and Arthur will recover from this crappy situation and gt back to loving each other and be happy etc. I hope things are properly mended. I read in another site's teasers that in episode 7 "a heart is broken" and I fear it will probably Arthur's :(
ReplyDeleteNow that sounds really interesting. Although it looked in the trailer that she succeeds in killing Arthur, I assume this must be just a ploy to tease us.
ReplyDeleteWhatever she does it sounds serious and permanent - killing Gaius?? a knight?
if it is anything to go by, Gaius is featured in the cast and credit list published for Episode 8 so it is not him.
ReplyDeleteTrailer Teaser
ReplyDelete'I’d be happy if he died tomorrow'
As Gwen is still under Morgana's will power in 5x8 I think it will be her who says that.
Good thinking, Holmes! :)
ReplyDeleteelementarymy dear Watson :)
ReplyDeleteI love him too, but unfortunately he's barely in it :(
ReplyDeleteThe one teaser that says "You must believe me when I say how sorry I am, but the evidence against him is overwhelming" makes me think that Gwen is going to frame someone for these attempts on Arthur's life to throw suspicion off of her.
ReplyDeleteyeahh that's what I was thinking. Don't get me wrong I hate that Gwen is being abused again by Morgana again but you can't deny that Morgana's plan is brilliant this time around.
ReplyDeleteI still have a little bit of hope but I wish they gave us a kiss or two before they take on this enchantment arc......now we have to wait at least until 509 to (hopefully) get some sweet Arwen moments. I would actually be ok with the enchantment kiss, as long as there is one before the spell is broken...
ReplyDeleteYep, it's more permanent than what she tries to do to Arthur. I can see a lot of what she does praying on her mind once she is better the poor lass :(
ReplyDeleteSpot on! :(
ReplyDeleteNot just one person, I think she's going to find what she does in this episode very hard to deal with when the curse is lifted :(
ReplyDeleteIs there a lot of Morgana in this episode? More than 3 scenes?
ReplyDeleteouch ouch... based on your experience and on maybe what you know about future episodes, can you tell us if you think she'll be able to make amends before the series is over?? I so hate for Gwen to be shamed forever...
ReplyDeleteDoes she accuse Merlin for what she did to her husdand?
ReplyDeletemmmm I think you could be right there...
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything past this episode apart from what we picked up over filming and the PRs I'm afraid. I'm really hoping that they will cover her redemption, because I think the character deserves it after 4 episodes of being a puppet for Smirkgana. Why spend all that time showing how she is being used to do things she would normally be horrified at, and then not show her recovery afterwards. If it winds up being another bangle debacle I know a lot of fans will be very upset.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember off the top of my head how many she's in, sorry. She's not just in scenes with Gwen thou, if that's any help :)
ReplyDeleteAs Guinevere originally causes the downfall of Camelot it could be related to that?
ReplyDeleteditto to that, I would be one lf the list... let's hope you are right :)
ReplyDeleteHmm, I think that's her aim (well, Morgana's, I think Gwen would be horrified if she knew what she was doing). The plans are obviously thwarted a couple of times in this episode, but as the last dialogue teaser shows, she actually ends up in an even stronger position in the eyes of many at court. God only knows what twisted plan the witch will come up with for her to do next! :(
ReplyDeleteUpset wouldn't even begin to describe how I'd feel if this turns out to be like what they did to her in 4x09.
ReplyDeleteoh my oh my... well they were right to say there was a darker tone this year and the storyline between Gwen and Morgana would be interesting... I simply hope that whatever happens, they restore Gwen's honour in the end.
ReplyDeletenoooooooooooooooooo!
ReplyDelete:'(
Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is nice isn't it? Just the two of us” Arthur to Merlin :0P
ReplyDelete“They’d take her and cut her throat” ? to Merlin
“Whoever that belongs to is extremely wealthy” Gaius to ?
Just cause a person likes someone once doesn't mean that they're going to like them forever; even if they think so at the time. Most people in life will love more than one person in their lifetime. Doesn't make them bad people. Also Lancelot was the one who left Gwen and when you dump someone you can't expect them to sit around waiting for you to come back. They're allowed to move on with their life and find love with someone else.
ReplyDeleteGood guesses :)
ReplyDeletewwhat?? Arthur says the first line to Merlin??? ewwww
ReplyDeleteSrsly? "This is nice isn't it? Just the two of us” is Arthur to Merlin?
ReplyDeletelol nope. I should have said good hangman guesses instead, I thought the Merlin bit was just a joke :p
ReplyDeleteWell, you said basically the same that I did. Gwen has said things to Lancelot, but then she moved on (and she didn't treat him well in season 4 from what we've seen).
ReplyDeleteThe same thing with Arthur and Gwen - Arthur says a lot about how he loves her, but he doesn't look in love with when they are near each other. All tell and no show. And the same goes for Gwen.
Oh no, someone ships something not heterosexual, HOW DARE THEY!!1
ReplyDeleteBut if they spend another episode on Gwen, it would mean less screen time for the actual story arc. I'm so upset - those episodes about Gwen and Morgana could have been spent on the magic reveal, uniting Albion, and instead we get another tired master-puppet scenario in the end of the last season of Merlin ever. What a waste of time.
ReplyDeleteI was kidding Janette
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that they're going to leave the magic reveal to the last possible minute. Also Morgana trying to take over Camelot is part of the story arc of this show so they're not moving from the story arc by focusing on her trying to use Gwen to do it. It would be nice if they'd spent more time on the uniting Albion part of the story arc though. When they first started this show, they said that it was going to be a "before they were famous" type of show but now it's like they're rushing Arthur to his end without him bringing Camelot to it's golden age or accomplishing much of anything. Very frustrating.
ReplyDeleteyeah but since Sandi then said they were good guesses I thought you had hit the nail on the head :) I am relieved you did not hehe :)
ReplyDeleteMerlin is a magicial/sorcerer, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteROFL, that must be it :D
ReplyDeleteEvil!QueenGuinevere exciting! If it was anything like the last episode which was the most FANTASTIC ONE OF THE SEASON! Then I can't wait!
