While I done think it's an actual love triangle thats the kind of spoiler that will have fans switching off, not smart Mr Carver. You want to give fans a reason to keep watching I suggest you start giving some interviews and clearing up some of the confusion and hate.
Yeah that might be a good idea haha. From a lot of the comments I've read, people are generally not fans of Sams flashbacks, I think this will either make it a little more interesting or turn people off completely lol.
Well the spoiler has made things easier for me. If I wanted to watch Gossip Girl or 90210, I would do so. The total complete trashing of Sam, his character and his storyline has been painful for me, now I can walk and not think anything about it. Sam Winchester wanting to commit adultery and not wanting to be with Dean. Not the show I care about. And lucky us, it's not a dream, or an angel manipulation or anything other than proving Sam is no good. This is not my show.
So the guy who took on Lucifer finds himself in a bad soap opera with dead husbands returning and growley fathers so when does the ex lover of Sam's turn up with the child?.
So not only has Sam run away to find a girl (and her family) to be unpleasant to him, but now she doesn't even choose him fully? Wow, Carver really doesn't think highly of Sam (and is possibly blind).
What's the point to have a soap opera twist in all this? OMG I really, really hope Sam's flashbacks to have some meaning. Please writers don't disappoint us. Show us the time between Season 7 finale and Sam hitting a dog!!! It's so much to ask?
OMG I didn't think the OOC Sam story-line could get any worse. I had been hoping for an explanation to explain Sam's actions. That'll teach me to hope the TPTB would clean up the mess they created or treat Sam's character fairly.
Well we always knew Carver was a Dean fanboy, I just never knew he hated Sam THIS much. He just doesn't give a crap about him. This is just unacceptable.
Well, I haven't been shy about my discontent with this season especially Sam's story. But I'm going to stay positive about this one, because considering the source is an expert in crappy-vomit spoilers I'm not ready to throw everything off a cliff, yet. It sounds horrible and so far Carver's Supernatural has been boring and mediocre at best. This week episode was a very good step up, but Amelia and her now-alive husband is weighing the show down in a way that I think Dawn Ostroff would have been proud of. (She might even have tuned into the show for once.)
Still, saying that a love triangle for nasty mean lady's affections (one of the most unpleasant women to have ever been surrounded by seemingly decent men like in most godforsaken love triangles) isn't necessarily the same thing as she is real or if she is in present time. Especially since their "source close to the show" always seems to repeat what we already know half the time and it's a "love triangle of sorts" which is extremely obvious given the most recent episode declaring Don to be alive, but they are stating here that they are "assuming she's pretty darn real" means that Kristen and her team are the ones stating she's real and no one from the show as imply one way or another. Perhaps, the source close to the show is merely the show itself and they know "love triangle" and Supernatural in the same sentence will create more comments in their comment section, because stating plainly whether or not Amelia is something everyone has seemed to be avoiding. So, until I hear Carver or the someone from the show say anything about a "love triangle" I'm going to assume that E! is just being E!
As for Mr. Carver, if his intentions are for a love triangle and to continue to make the show less like Supernatural and more like the American Being Human, he might want to reconsider. Because fans are not enjoying this storyline. Amelia isn't likeable and when fans are hoping that someone isn't real that isn't a sign of liking or accepting the character. If Sam is suppose to be OCC, then he is doing a good job. However, if this is the Sam he pictures, then he's got major issues. I can't believe that a showrunner would knowingly and willingly run a main lead character into the ground especially when that showrunner wrote "Mystery Spot" and "A Very Supernatural Christmas" and "Point of No Return" and this week episode seemed to scream that Sam is living his created dream world. Yet, he has made two horrific mistakes this season: 1) He is threatening the foundation of the show by having Sam not look for Dean to keep the tension and hostility between the brothers, 2) He is taking too long to show us what the story is for one of the main characters, Sam. So, far most of his mistakes have been with the character of Sam. This could be a plot point, because if it isn't, he is a poor writer and piss poor showrunner which I don't want to believe because he is doing right by Castiel. However, since Dean's purgatory line seems to be finished, I'm beginning to wonder if Castiel is the only one who has a season long story-arch. And then Mr. Carver has not only failed Sam, he has failed Dean as well.
Haha. I actually perked right up at the idea that this was all in Sam's head and it was a product of insanity (or Lucifer) and bad self-esteem and misplaced guilt, rather than Carver's reality.
thank god I did not read this one because I be saying WTF? really carver man you suck! I think I be done after this season unless carver can pull something out of his ass that is really great to do with sam and then I stay but this really sucks ass god I miss the EK days those was great eps.
Love triangle and Supernatural should never go in the same sentence ever. It was bad enough for the Bitten episode. I'm holding tight to that "of sorts" part and the fact that Kristin never has a clue when she's talking Supernatural.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Supernatural: The soap opera?
ReplyDeleteA love triangle on Supernatural? What?

ReplyDeleteokay...I've to wait for the next next next episode before I judge it. Bad bad spoiler. sigh.

ReplyDeleteCarver has no problem with Sam. This just makes things more interesting. It's better than him living inside his head.
