  1. Under normal circumstances I might be ok with Renard/Juliet, but the fact that it's fake feelings and Juliet isn't even aware that they're fake is kinda pushing the dub-con limit.

  2. Wooo, the captain is sexy. But I agree with Ivy B. that this love has been manipulated and can either wear off, or be manipulated off. I haven't forgotten that Monroe told Renard that he can cure the obsession if only Renard were to be there with the object of his obsession.

  3. Yeah...I mean, I was already very put-out with the writers during Lonelyhearts, when they more or less declared that it is okay if Ziegenvolk lure woman with their pheromones, as long as they don't start kidnapping and breeding them...and no, it's not okay, it's roofies over the air. This is just as bad. I would be okay if this were one-sided, because Renard knows the reason for his feelings, but Juliette having the same feelings is so squicky, it might be enough to put me off this show (which was one of my absolute favourites last season).

  4. I may be the one person who doesn't mind this storyline. I am not a big fan of Juliette, but at least now she has a story. Yes, Renard knows what is going on and he wants to fix it. I think this meeting between him and Juliette may not be just Renard trying to seduce her, but him actively trying to gain her confidence enough to get her to visit the spice shop with him to get rid of the potion's effects. He doesn't really want her and he knows it. I think much of this will be concluded by the end of November sweeps, but we'll see. It is holding my interest.

Now if only Monroe was getting more screen time. I think we can all agree on that! ;)

  5. Moonwisemama, I so hope you're right that:

    (1) Renard gets it that his obsession has been induced
    (2) He is trying to get her to visit the spice shop...I think that would make an awesome scene.
    (3) This will be over by November sweeps!!!

  7. Oh, please no! Juliet is boring as hell, but the one thing good about her characters is that she is a rare example of a realistic and stable relationship in TV, and I really don't want to loose that. Nick derserves his bit of happiness (and really, Adalind? Nick would never fall for her after she tried to kill his aunt!)
