Next week is Thanksgiving. Grey's very rarely airs a new episode on Thanksgiving. I think they've only done it once. The other 2 weeks we have had off were for special events (the CMA awards and the Vice Presidential Debate).
We are actually getting new episodes in December this year, which is a switch. Normally after this week, Grey's is done until January. Part of that is because of the 2 weeks we have already missed this year. Since there are 12-14 weeks in the TV season where a show cannot have a new episode, you have to pick your poison on when to air them. I'd rather have ABC spread them out like this than have the entire month of March without new episodes, for example.
"Ugh, April better only be having a pregnancy scare!" I second this. Grey's could use a break from baby/pregnancy drama. We seem to get saddled with some of that every single season in one form or another.
Nice observation. It seems like Arizona had a fall, suffered some kind of emotional setback, or both. Either way, someone in scrubs in in the fetal position on the floor.
The only one I want to see pregnant on Grey's, is Meredith ;-) And maybe...just maybe, it might be the case according to Ausiello. At least, she is one of the 14 possible preggers!
I kind of like the (short) breaks. Don't get me wrong...if I were a producer, my season were probably much too long but last year, they've aired the first 10 or 12 episodes (I don't exactly know how many) in a row...the hiatus between them and the last were endless...I gues one week is acceptable!
Sadly, Rhimes (or McKidd, can't remember who) said in a interview that Cristina and Owen will find their way back to each other. I think that is complete BS. They want different things, how could they reconcile?
Since they are cleaning, a more hopeful explanation could also be that she successfully completed her first surgery and is having a cathartic moment....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Ugh, April better only be having a pregnancy scare!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Cristina and Owen need to just divorce already! What is happening in Alex's OR? And why is everyone freaking out at the end of the promo?
Pretty sure that's Arizona down at Alex's OR. You can see a bit of a pink cap... But there is no patient.
ReplyDeleteAh, got it! Poor Arizona.
ReplyDeleteDrama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! I'd hope so. If not, the writers aren't doing their jobs.

ReplyDeleteThanksgiving!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Owen realizes he and Cristina won't work. I hope the show's done trying to make it work anyway.
ReplyDelete2 weeks again !! come on !! it's been three times already
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the episode seems great, there'll be some arizona/alex scenes, missed this team.

ReplyDeleteyeah maybe you're right, it's just that one episode in two weeks makes you loose the tension, you know ? you're not really into it =(
ReplyDeleteSadly, Rhimes (or McKidd, can't remember who) said in a interview that Cristina and Owen will find their way back to each other. I think that is complete BS. They want different things, how could they reconcile?
ReplyDeleteWhat were the last words in the promo before the narrator's announces the date of the episode? They sounded like some weird noise.
ReplyDeleteRight! Thanks! Now it makes sense haha

ReplyDeleteIt's a nice thought. I'll join you in hoping for the best.
ReplyDeleteSomeone - going by the high voice I'd say either Arizona or April - says "Oh God!".
