Michelle Trachtenberg is scary good at playing unhinged people (Georgina Sparks, anyone?) and Criminal Minds has taken notice!
The show, currently in its eighth season, has booked Trachtenberg for an upcoming guest spot in which she plays a stalker who goes haywire after being denied a job. Bonus scoop: I’m told this episode will prominently feature Reid’s new love interest. (And no, it’s not Trachtenberg!)

Did Reid ever have a love interest,i don't remember him with anyone?
ReplyDeleteWell, some say that he had a crush on JJ at the beginning of season 1
ReplyDelete(when she joined the team) but it's probably just fandom's wishful
thinking:) And then, there was this famous actress or something with a
murderous stalker (season 1 or 2 and she pulled him to the pool with
her). And some thinks that the writers tried to make agent Seaver a
possible love interest for Reid. But apart from that Reid was mostly
showed as an awkward kid with mighty brain but poor social skills. All
this times that Morgan offered him an advice about ladies and dating:)
But now, Spencer is over 30 and his social skills are much, much better.
So, some lady should definitely show up in his life. You don't think
that he's still a virgin (or a male version of it), do you?
The crush on JJ was pretty clear but short-lived, really meant to establish them as good friends more than anything else (it was in episode 4 when they addressed it, still establishing the relationships among the team). In season 6 they did drop some very subtle hints about Reid and Seaver (and one single not-so-subtle hint, but it wasn't that meaningful), but I think that gets overstated a bit by many fans. Completely agree with your last 4 sentences :)
ReplyDeleteZugzwang is a chess term, referring to when you're forced to make a move that damages your position. A clue to the contents of the episode? Hopefully! Sounds very intriguing... (and apropos for an episode about CM's chess master)
