This is sure to make fanboys and girls everywhere dizzy with excitement: Fringe alum Seth Gabel is joining Arrow as a “scary and nightmarish” super-villain modeled after the DC Comics character Vertigo, TVLine has learned exclusively.
As we reported earlier this month, Arrow‘s version of Vertigo will be vastly different from the Vlatavan count in the comics. First off, his name won’t be Vertigo. Secondly, Not-Vertigo will exude a darkly grounded, Christopher Nolan-esque vibe.

Interesting choice
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine him as someone else. He will be always Lincoln Lee for me.
ReplyDeleteThis will be interesting! I´m so glad I´ll get Seth Gabel on my screen again!
ReplyDeleteOh guess I should put Arrow back on my watch list then, had given up on it but damn I do love Seth
ReplyDeleteWell I get them not wanting to use Count Vertigo as his official name. But I don't see why they are basing the character on Count Vertigo and not even using his real name which is Werner Vertigo.
ReplyDeleteJust seems kind of pointless for them to say it is Count Vertigo, but really it's not.I could understand if they were going the Werner Vertigo route but they saying his name won't be Vertigo.
Really don't get it. If he is vastly different and doesn't have the same name how are they even modeling the character after Count Vertigo?
AHHHHHHH, this is amazing! so excited with these news! I love seth gabel and i love arrow. I hope he recurs for a long time
ReplyDeleteSeth Gabel! I'm so happy to see him on one of my shows! I miss Lincoln!
ReplyDeleteWhat up Tyrone!?
ReplyDeleteWasn't Seth Gabel cast in something else, a new show or something? Or am I just making stuff up? Anyway, him on Arrow is going to be awesome!! One more reason to love this show!
ReplyDeleteDear Arrow writers
ReplyDeletestop messing around with the names from comics. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
His TV roles have been steadily becoming more serious since Dirty Sexy Money so this casting doesn't surprise me. I think Gabel will be good.
ReplyDeleteLincoln!! So thrilled to see Seth Gabel land a meaty role.
ReplyDeleteI should probably start watching Arrow!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it has something to do with copyrights or something?
