NBC is getting graphic with Lost's Carlton Cuse.

Cuse and screenwriter Ryan Condal are set to adapt Oni Press’ graphic novel series The 6th Gun for NBC. The project, which is being produced by Universal TV and Oni's production company Closed on Mondays Entertainment, is the story of six mythical guns in the Old West. When the Sixth Gun, the most powerful and dangerous of the group, resurfaces in the hands of an innocent girl named Becky Montcrief, dark forces reawaken.

  6. I was sold until I saw that it's based on a graphic novel series and not an original idea (I read the premise before I read that bit). Still interested in checking it out (assuming the project comes to fruition), but I just can't get as excited for shows where I know that you can find out what's going to happen next by reading the books instead of watching the show (i.e., more spoiler potential unless you force yourself to read the books, and then you're letting the books spoil the show for you), or diverging canon when the show strays from the books (because then the canon isn't straight-forward any more).
