  7. At least this one looks like a SPN ep, unlike Bitten.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Just this little bit tells me Edlund hit a bullseye. I can't wait for this one! Hope Dean walks on the beach as promised.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Considering that much of VD is a copy of SPN, it's only fair SPN can use something from it. lol

    ReplyDelete
  10. lmao of course, wouldn't want to stain the leather.

  11. Can't wait!!! That's more like it.

  12. Yes, the main story, the saving grace of this season so far.

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's ironic if one remembers how Dean used to give his brother Hell for drinking demon blood, even coming to blows and saying that if Sam wasn't his brother, he would want to hunt him!
    X
Well done writers! Now you have turned things around so that Dean doesn't mind killing humans any more, but monsters have now become a protected species, down to getting the front seat in the Impala while snacking on bags of blood.
    X
Benny saved Dean's life in Purgatory and Dean had a hard time in there, fine, but nobody will ever convince me that being one year in Purgatory was worse than being 40 in Hell or 180 in the Cage like Sam!
    Get your priorities right, writers!
    X
I mean it's not as if Dean was an innocent civilian; he had been battling monsters since he was a kid. Purgatory was just a little more intense.
We're talking Dean Winchester here not Little Lord Fauntleroy!
    X
What a turn-around for Dean who up to season seven ganked monsters regardless of any pity the viewer might have had for them.
Ruby saved their lives too, so does that mean it was wrong to kill her? Amy saved Sam's life by killing her own mother and then she only killed to defend her son, so why did she have to die?
    X
Quite honestly, I don't expect anything better from this episode, because the writers will probably find a way to twist things around to make them fit their "new and mature" vision!
    X
If what we have seen up until now is the innovative and wonderful, I'll just stay with the old.
I'm already annoyed that they have given us an episode like Bitten which going by the amount of awfuls it's getting, means that on the season eight dvd there will be one episode less for me to watch and enjoy!

I usually get through the bad episodes by keeping my eyes on the awesomeness of Sam and Dean, but this episode doesn't even have that to recommend it!

  14. Is it just me or does "don't open your door, don't go into the basemet and don't trust the vampire" sounds a bilt like "don't turn your back, don't look away and don't blink"?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Benny:"sluuuuuurp!*

    Dean: *F*ck my life*

    LOL! Best promo so far!

  16. ROTFL

    4) no bursting wings in the impala

Benny slurping blood happily through a straw is actually kinda...adorable. And Dean...LOL! I'm really looking forward to this.

  20. Why did Amy have to die? The four people who she hunted down just so she could feed her son. As sympathetic as she was and even with her saving Sam's life she was back on the boys radar for a reason. Her victims could have had families too, just because they were thugs doesn't make them less disposable as they could have been drug dealing and loan sharking because they had to pay their kids medical bills couldn't they?

As for Ruby, yes she saved a few but she also was doing the whole manipulation thing to change Sam from human to monster to free Lucifer and remember how exactly Sam on a few occasions got that demon blood.

We haven't seen enough of Benny to get a real feel for him other than Vamp bad, Dean must be out of his mind - promo seems to be implying that he's surviving on packs stolen out of the blood bank, which may or may not be true. Lets see how it plays out after this weeks filler episode.

Plus by the looks of it Sam didn't take Benny's hand when offered so the relationship between the brothers is starting to come to a head.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The point I'm making is that you can't have it both ways.

Either you subscribe to the idea that all monsters are bad and they will eventually kill / continue to kill , or you are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

    As regards to Amy,
Sam has hunted as long as Dean, He made a pondered decision about Amy,deciding not to kill her.
Dean didn't respect his decision and went behind Sam's back; killed her and tried to keep it hidden,.but lies have a way of coming out and Sam was angry with good reason, not for Amy herself but for the distrust shown to him by Dean
    X
Yes Sam fed on the demon blood and at the end of season five, If I remember correctly,Dean killed a few demons himself to get Sam enough gallons of blood to take on Lucifer, so he's no innocent either.
    X
Then in season six, when Dean was turned into a vampire, the nest of vampires drank blood they stole from a the hospital blood bank, not from living hosts and vampire Dean took them all out just the same, .No mercy there!
    X.
The fact is that Benny is a vampire ,and he has obviously killed in the past for you are compelled to feed when you are turned, at least the first time, even Gordon Walker did.
What makes this Benny any different?
Just because he's Dean's friend, does that makes him less of a monster?
    X
Then I am not in the least looking forward to Sam meeting Benny.
All I can see coming from that is more strife between the brothers and I think there is enough of that already.

Anyway the way Sam is acting, it's going to be difficult to make the viewers believe that Sam cares all that much about Dean's friendship with Benny, seeing as how his greatest wish seems to get away from Dean and back to his non-hunting life.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Fine is you are no in the least in looking forward to Sam meeting Benny - then don't watch. Though agree Sam has to do a lot to make us believe he cares as I don't want him to simply stay because he fears for Dean's mental state (because he trusted a monster and didn't tell him).

However if you subscribe to all monsters bad and must die -, Cas, Sam and Dean should all be dead, Lenore should have died the minute they met her not when she asked Cas to do it. They should never work with Demons they should never give anything a chance and it would have ended in season 1 as John wouldn't have sold his soul for Dean and Dean would be gone.

As for Amy don't go on about how why did she have to die and then suddenly go on about the distrust issue. Bring them up together from the start.

As for purgatory being worse than hell - Hell as Crowley put it gives you frustration, while on the rack Dean had no control over what was happening to him, the Cage Sam no control. Purgatory - you have control, you kill to survive. You don't know where and when it comes for you but you have to be ready for it it you want to survive. That is a different type of trauma from hell.

    ReplyDelete
  23. For me it is right down at the bottom of my lists with Ghostfacers. lol

    ReplyDelete
  24. Remember when Crowley was carving on Brady and Dean told him to watch the leather?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Is this from Dr Who and the Angels??

    ReplyDelete
  26. Great promo - lol at Benny slurping his blood.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes. Can say, though he's messy in the hotels, Dean sure keeps a clean car. lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. They aren't saying Dean's time in Purgatory was worst than Hell. Where'd you get that?

He was changed by Purgatory as he was able to act on instinct there and didn't have to think much so he's more on edge and because of hanging with Benny for a whole year (him being his lone Allie in Purgatory until they found Cas), his thoughts about monsters have been slightly re-evaulated.

Dean's spared monsters on occasion before (Lenore, others). It depends on his mind-frame at the time. Ruby played Sam, making him release Lucifer, she deserved to die. Amy happened right after the events with Cas taking in all those purgatory souls and Leviathans. Dean wasn't very trusting of anyone after that and was dealing with a lot of conflicting thoughts and Sam's issues after remembering Hell.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm curious as to why Dean and Benny need Sam's help? A 'badass' hunter and a vampire who survived Purgatory need the help of a guy who (in Jensen Ackles own words on Dean's thoughts on Sam's behaviour) was basically a pussy for living a normal life for a year?

    ReplyDelete
  30. shame Sam didnt have a straw when Ruby was around

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm saying that for however bad Purgatory was, it could never be as terrible as being tortured in Hell.

I get it that Dean was hunted, but in a way, he was in his element.
He loves the hunting life and there he got to hunt full-time with no conscience to bother him.
Then the fact of Benny being the only monster who gave him a helping hand seems very suspicious to me, and it should have been to Dean too.

Then he only spared Lenore because Sam convinced him to.

Sam too hung around with Ruby at the start because he had no-one else, and was completely depressed after losing Dean.
Dean even thanked Ruby for saving Sam's life.
It 's obvious that she had to die but right up to the end no-one was quite sure if she was good or bad, very similar to the Benny story.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That is funny, I raise and release orphan squirrels and tell people my cages are always clean...house not so much. lol Gotta have priorities, Deans is Baby.;)

    ReplyDelete
  33. I was thinking the same thing but I guess Sam has to meet the 'Benny' at some time. He wont like it but then Sam.s weird apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  34. The first thing that came into my mind thinking about Dean and leather was in 7x09 when StonedDean said that the weird thing in the guy body was going to ruin the wallet's leather

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes, that one had me laughing.

    ReplyDelete
  36. bet you Sam ends up the one looking bad/wrong somehow

    ReplyDelete
  37. Letting Lenore go in season 1 was the right thing to do

Letting man/dog guy go in season 6 was the wrong thing to do

Killing Amy in season 7 was the right thing to do

Lying about Killing Amy was wrong

Letting the girl go at the end of the last episode was the right thing to do right now

Letting Benny live at the moment is the right thing to do for now

Not trusting and Keeping an eye on Benny is the right thing to do right now

Benny turning out to be the bad guy in the end would be the best thing the season can offer for me, I'll be disappointed if he turns out good. I would love it if Sam was the one to end him, that would be awesome.

I don't have a problem with them letting monsters who haven't killed humans go but they need to be consistent when it comes to killing monsters who have killed humans.

I also have a problem with Dean always being right and Sam always being wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I wonder how long the Sam flashbacks will actually be in the episode? If they'll be in some kind of logical order explaining his story or if they'll just be random flashes?

Liane Balaban is quite good at tweeting when she is filming or has been filming an episode so its easy to get an idea of how much she is in an episode. She and Jared filmed the first day of episode 5, Jared then filmed again the last 2 days I believe the rest was all Jensen and Tye. I think she is in episode 7 and 8 again I believe she filmed the first day for each. I cant remember about 6 I think she did film.

  39. This has to be posted, Jared tweeted a picture of Sam Winchester and the real Arrow, the White Arrow

  40. Letting the witches go in Shut Up Dr. Phil, right or wrong. As it turned out was a good thing as he saved their life and they did try and kill them, but they had both killed humans..a LOT of humans. lol

I don't see Benny being one of the good guys, but from what I have seen of him, I like him, so would be OK with it.

They did not really let dog/man go, when Sam went to kill him he was not there.

  41. Don't forget to go write in SPN for Best Network TV Drama, they won it last year and PCA did not bother to put them on the list for nominations. They are in Sci-fi section.

  42. So cute and HOT at the same time. lol

  43. "don't blink" is indeed from Dr Who, but I think the promo is a reference to the horror/slasher movies :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. raising orphan squirrels? how that's too cute <3
    also: moose and squirrel ;-)

  45. 8-p'
excuse me while I pick up my jaw from the floor...

  46. Where are you getting that Dean doesn't mind killing humans? Of course he does! BOTH Sam and Dean have to make a decision whether to kill demons possessing humans. Sometimes it's necessary.

As far as Sam drinking demon blood, of course Dean didn't like it because it changed who Sam was. Sam became addicted and it harmed him. Dean was trying to protect Sam from the harm that drinking demon blood did to him. It's nothing like a vampire's need for blood to survive.

And Dean did NOT gank ALL monsters. For example, he listened to Sam regarding Lenore and in the end decided to let her go because she didn't feed on humans and promised them she wouldn't. He also listened to Sam regarding the Rugaro, and gave him Sam a chance to stop him from killing. That didn't work and Sam ended up killing him anyway. Dean has been trying to see Sam's point of view to NOT always take a black/white view of monsters/supernatural beings. That's actually growth for Dean.

Amy was Kitsune, who killed human beings. She couldn't guarantee that her son wouldn't get sick again and that she wouldn't kill again.

And I don't understand why it's a contest between the horrors of Hell and the horrors of Purgatory. Dean had to endure BOTH, and both are very, VERY bad places. The only reason Dean was able to escape Purgatory was because of Benny. Benny essentially saved Dean's life. It's not like Sam was even looking to save Dean. He would still be there if it wasn't for Benny.

And Ruby... well she told Dean that she was going to really ENJOY hearing his screams in Hell as the flesh is being ripped off his bones. Nice, huh? The only reason Dean didn't gank Ruby earlier was because Sam asked him not to. And she was manipulating Sam into killing Lilith in order to raise Lucifer. Sam was wrong to allow her to live.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Wait... did Sam just forget how to get to Bobby's house when Dean was in hell? Sam *chose* to be with Ruby, chose to have sex with her, and chose a path of revenge, instead of contacting Bobby.

And I'm pretty sure that a demon wishing they could see Dean as he's being tortured in hell, is BAD.

    ReplyDelete
  48. its ok to like a bad a guy, I liked Ruby and I like Crowley so why not Benny?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Dean ended up trusting Ruby and proved herself .It isnt a case of Benny is different because he is associated with Dean and Ruby was just a big mistake by Sam .
With Benny again it is a different scenario but there are no guarantee's with him it is too early to proclaim him the latest it guy for Dean and Sam wasnt in Purgatory to be there with Dean . As for hell and Purgatory ? it isnt a issue but it wouldnt hurt to remember Sam suffered torture at the hands of Lucifer for 180 yrs he hasnt exactly had a walk in the park himself.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yay, back to good old Supernatural after last night's teen horror/drama episode.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I thought that whole thing was about the Angels, I don't do slasher so guess that is why I did not get it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I just released 3, named Bobby, Ellen and Sammy. ;) I did like the Moose and Squirrel thing..fun.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I liked the really bad guy, Alastair, sorry they killed him off. Crowley just has never seemed that bad to me, but I do like him. My problem is I like most of the characters on SPN, except Ghostfacers. lol

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sam was completely distraught when Dean died, filled with feelings of remorse and guilt that Dean had willingly sold his soul, and gone to Hell for him, and desperate because he hadn't been able to save him.

He descended quickly into a depressive state, then turning to alcohol.

As for not going to Bobby, he acted the self-same way in Mystery Spot, going off on his own after the Trickster. Each of us has our own way of reacting to grief.

He even went to the crossroads demon to offer himself in Dean's place.

Sam did not go looking for Ruby. She came to him, and the first thing Sam asked her was if she could get Dean out of Hell, stopping the Impala and telling her to get out when she said she couldn't

She manipulated him, beginning with sex, which Sam initially refused, then she pulled him in even further by saving his life, causing him to start trusting her, much the same as what must have happened with Dean and Benny in Purgatory.

As for a demon saying that she would like to see Dean tortured in Hell, I would say that was pretty normal for any demon to wish for!
