CJ, The ODI and Adam discuss the best TV couple in our Weekly Topic/Debate. We talk about the return of fringe and Person of Interest. We cover a whole load of new shows and returning shows including Elementary, Last Resort, Doctor Who and many more.

CJ, The ODI and Adam are back with their views on the latest TV news and episodes. We talk about the return of Fringe and Person of Interest. We take another look at Revolution and has episode 2 improved on the pilot. We take a look at some of the other shows of the week including New Girl, Doctor Who, Last Resort, Elementary and more.

Weekly Topic: What is the best TV Romantic Couple?
Every TV show has a couple you root for or fall in love with but which one is the best. CJ, The ODI and Adam once again argue (and this time we really do argue) over which two beat the rest. Some of the shows discussed this week include:

Buffy, Bones, Castle, Cheers,  Chuck, Doctor Who, Firefly,  Frasier, Friends, Fringe, Gossip Girl,  House, LOST, Once Upon a Time, Roswell,  Scrubs, Sex and the City, Smallville, Supernatural, The Office, The Simpsons, The Vampire Diaries and True Blood

We would love to hear your opinions on what 2 couples you would pick and why below in the comments or via Email or Twitter. So let us know and we may discuss some of your choices next week.

  5. I'm pretty sure my favorite part of this entire podcast was listening to all of CJ's "shipper" names hahaha... I almost died laughing at some of them. Lots of fun this week :)

I'm agreed that Ross and Rachel have to be one of the top TV couples of all time - they're immediately who I think of, and are definitely hard to beat.
As far as current couples go, I'm a huge fan of Booth and Brennan on Bones. I've loved watching their relationship progress throughout the years, and while some say it took too long, I love the place they're in now. I think they're incredibly strong together.

  10. I'm partial to two couples:

Desmond and Penny - Epic couple who transcended TIME. Who does that?

Chuck and Sarah - One of the most under appreciated couples in TV history as far as I'm concerned.

  11. Hmm... I liked better:

on Friends, Chandler and Monica were "the" couple for me. It was a less complicated and still interesting and fun couple. I think of Friends, I think of them, not of Ross and Rachel.

on Battlestar Galactica, Helo and Athena were a great and lasting couple.
Also and in a certain way even more meaningful was Gaius Baltar and Number Six, they were one of the defining couples which is ironic considering they weren't a couple for most of the show, but it still felt natural when they finally got back together in the last episode... it had a feeling of coming full circle.

But no couple on Friends on my list of favourite romantic couples.

Gaius Baltar and Number Six could be on my list. Buffy and Angel - I could see that.

No one mentionned Charmed - Phoebe and Cole were one of the great couples and I have to admit that my interest went down when that wasn't anymore and I eventually stopped watching.

Max and Liz definitely had that teen romance going on Roswell, it's never been done that well since I think.

  17. 1) Chuck & Sarah - A nerd and a spy.. (season 5 aside) It can't get better than that!!
    2) Castle & Beckett - 4 seasons to get them together and it never got boring along the way!

  18. Dan and Blair from Gossip Girl : from enemies to frenemies, frenemies to friends, friends to lovers.
Maria and Michael from Roswell : hottest couple on TV!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Oh, Chuck and Sarah...it was a really lovely couple.
I am between Chuck & Sarah and Beckett & Castle...

  20. Jax and Tara, Sons of Anarchy. Their love is complicated, but seems more real that any other love story on TV.I love that they are still together in season 5, not many shows would let it go on so long.

  21. Desmond and Penny (Lost)

    Chuck and Sarah (Chuck)

    Sun and Jin (Lost)

    Castle and Beckett (Castle)

  24. I loved Max and Liz too. And I totally agree that most teen romances don't feel real compared to this one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I also loved Chuck and Sarah. Not too sure about their ending though.

  26. There have only been 3 shows that hooked me with the first ep and Roswell/Max/Liz was one of them. Supernatural/brother bond and Veronica Mars/Logan were the other two.
