  2. I'll bet CBS wishes they had A Gifted Man back after seeing Made In Jersey. lol Blue Bloods and CSI: NY are in trouble. CBS needs to seriously retool Friday night next season. Dumping grounds for Hawaii 5-0 and The Mentalist to die a slow final season?

  3. Well okay... only 1 for Fringe ... I'm glad we're good, sort of. We are assured of a 13 epi Season 5.
*Stiil itt does hurt a little...Just a tiny little bit...*

  6. Yeah Fringe is a shame I'm sure the final few eps will pick up a bit just from curious people.

  7. So Grimm is doing well, right? Fringe is already in its last season, so I'm not worried about ratings and demos, I just need to worry about Grimm doing well.

  9. FRINGE: As others have said: "Ouch!". At least it was middle-of-the-road in ratings. Not among the lower rated shows, but still 3rd highest in demo isn't too bad imo.

GRIMM: Highest rated for it's time slot and for the night (not counting the reality show)! Not bad! Hope this means a solid position to earn a 3rd season order from NBC.

BLUE BLOODS: It basically tied in it's time slot, so I'm not too worried yet. Plus, it's the most watched for the night. That should count for something. Outdated Nielson system and all, and with the economy how it is, the older population has more spending money than the younger group in the demo imo. I think all networks & tv shows should look to the 25-54 demo, rather than the 18-49 one.

  10. The numbers for the 25-54 demo doesn't really differ from the 18-49 one.

  12. I'm happy for Grimm!!!
ps.: Ouch for Made in Jersey...0.8 for a big network is awful even for a death slot. Perhaps viewers are too traumatized from Jersey Shore and get scared of the title.

Well. I'm glad that we don't have to worry about the raitings anymore fringies. I'm sad we only have 11 episodes left though.

  14. Now 11 episodes seems like nothing,a blink of an eye.So happy it will be on The Science Channel, but i could still cry!

  15. Last season the ratings were higher for Blue Bloods,we'll have a better handle on it in a couple more weeks.. I don't think BB will be going anywhere, not with Tom Selleck in it..

If you think the cough 'older' cough, cough (must be a hairball) population has more money you might want to raise the demo, one doesn't always die when you hit 55 or even 60! At least that's what my mama would tell me all the time! ;)

  16. I really have faith that Community will do great on fridays! That show has the weirdest, most amazing, loyal fanbase out there! I believe that they(if only i lived in the USA) will follow Crazy Banana Band to the end!

  17. AGM wasnt doing that well either lets not forget, better than Jersey but still poor by SBS standard for a Friday Problem is now with Jersey stuck right in the NY and BB its dragging them both down too. Best solution at this stage would be to cancel Jersey, move NY back to 9pm and get TBBT repeats on at 8-9 untill they can get Undercover Boss in that time slot.

  18. Raising the demo age? I would if I could. ;) I only mentioned the 25-54 demo because that's the only other demo group I've seen used by some networks (ie, CBS, Lifetime, TNT, etc.). Obviously, given my comments above, I would propose raising the upper limit of the demo age to at least median retirement age (i.e., 65 or so).

I wonder if Nielson people have finally hired marketing experts that could show them spending trends, and age groups with the most disposable income. It seems like they are trying to devise a new ratings system, given some reports so far from their press.
