I don't mind it. If Lisbon gets with another guy it'll make Jane realize that maybe he needs to actually tell her how he feels. She is single and right now Jane is completely obsessed with RJ and Lorelei. It's about time he got jealous.
I think Jane would feel more betrayed than jealous. I mean, the FBI swooped in and ruined his best chance of catching RJ. If Lisbon becomes involved with one of them I don't think Jane is going to take that very well.
Oh it's going to be a bit of both. Look at the last episode which showed Jane is aware of his feelings for Lisbon. I'm looking forward to see Jane's feathers get ruffled. He told Lisbon he loved her and then lied and said he forgot (the man with the "mind of a steel fortress" doesn't "forget" anything) so it's time he learned that if he wants something...then he has to take it.
Some of the best Shipper moments in other TV shows include significant others. Like the first kiss between Castle and Beckett occurred when both of them were seeing other people. Jealousy is prime time entertainment and it always causes great forward momentum eventually. I'm looking forward to it.
Besides, this FBI guy is either going to wind up dead or a bad guy, either way I'm find with it.
I understand all of that, trust me I do, but it would really suck if she got involved with someone working with RJ. Or even someone who might be using her to get information.
Even RJ knows that the best way to make Jane suffer is to separate him from Lisbon. If the agent is actually a nice guy who just enjoys to posture, then I'm fine with that, but if he's using Lisbon then that's going to really darken my mood.
Of course, there's the possibility that Lisbon is getting closer to him to get more information, but not a whole lot of shows actually go for that kinda twist during this situation.
I doubt he's working for RJ, they already did that storyline Van Pelt and I would be pissed if they repeated it.
What I wouldn't be surprised by is if towards the end of the season Lisbon has divided loyalties between him and her team where he trusts the rest of his FBI pals but Jane doesn't because of the mole in the FBI. She would have to decide between trusting Jane (who isn't all that trustworthy) or standing by her man so to speak. That would be an interesting twist and when she chooses Jane (because of course she will) then that would effectively end that relationship and it might finally push Jane to do something about his feelings for her as well.
I agree with @twitter-246103155:disqus ! Teresa is single now, she deserves to go out with other people! So far, Jane has always be the one who going out with women (Erica and the Lorelai in last season). Maybe this time, Jane will get jealous (I mean, just look at the 5x01, he didn't like Mancini so much...) and realize it's time for him to tell Lisbon what he really feels for her (not now, but at the end of the season).
this is incorrect since the poker game in Castle was between him and his friends writers. Anyway, what does this mean? So anyone could not shoot a poker scene now because of Castle?
Something tells me those people Lisbon met at the poker game weren't exactly just some random harmless ppl. They all might be connected to RJ somehow. This whole situation looks ...portentous, especially when RJ's attempt to recruit Patrick Jane has failed. So they might have some sinister plans for Lisbon instead.
I've got nothing against Lisbon going out with other people, but at least they could give her an intelligent guy. Mancini is a volatile kid and a tool. Jane made him look like a total idiot.
Lazy, transparent episode. The only good parts were Jane/Grace and the shoes. RJ storyline needs to move much faster or Jane should move on which is highly unlikely. Someone at the poker game works for RJ. Lisbon is getting close to FBI guy for ulterior reasons.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
...I do not like the direction Lisbon is heading in regarding a certain FBI agent.

Wouldn't that be a great way to end the season?
That would be an awesome way to end the season!
ReplyDeleteInteresting a Poker game copying Castle I see!
ReplyDeleteThe new love interest of Lisbon is the mole for RJ!
ReplyDelete..for me was a empty episode fill with blind spot a foolish one in scale to 1 to 10...6

Lisbon's intention of making her way in to the FBI net to catch RJ's mole - I would love this idea.

ReplyDeleteI doubt they're all in RJ conspiracy. They're just a group of people with political clout.

ReplyDeleteNo it shows how writers copy ideas from each other. Castle had it first now Mentalists copied it. I wonder when it will show up in Bones?
ReplyDeleteThey are doing it as a reference for the fact that in real life Robin Tunney is really good at poker, not about copying ideas.
ReplyDeletegood point GraceStephanie, thank you!
