Ronstein now plays devil's advocate. 5x01 He and Nucky are alike -values his company. 5x05 He and Nucky are different doesn't value his company/companionship.
Gyp likes pain. Gyp doesn't like pain. Death of a red head prostitute = near death of Gillian via Jimmy. Gyp is like a 'dog on a leash'
But that scene with Gyp walking through Benny's murder spree was really fantastic!
This is true. IMO the episodes are really "shifty" and have an element of repetitive (: contradictory to them, but of course that's why I think it's a dream, but in any case I would like more Richard too! (:
Not a very good episode - I'm frustrated with how much screen time this show dedicates to Nucky's side pieces. Billie is a much more tolerable character than Lucy was but they're both equally unimportant. - What the hell is Nucky doing hounding Billie when his business is in the gutter? He sends someone to shoot Gyp and that's it? That's his big plan? Awful. - They're dragging Margaret's clinic storyline on too long. There's not much more to be gained from it from an entertainment standpoint. - The only good part of Van Alden's storyline continues to be Sigrid, who was quite amusing this week. - Chalky White's appearance made it very clear how much this show misses and needs his character. He's very underutilized. - This show is writing Gyp Rosetti's character in a manner that makes him seem cartoonish and, frankly, that's making him annoying to watch.
This episode really took the show on a ill-advised detour into WTF territory.
I would say this Epi was "Hunky Dory", lol...just Loved that line.....i was shocked in seeing those sex scenes with Gyp...i had forgotten that men liked doing those sex scenes...they are dangerous.....i did a few with a past boyfriend and it scared the crap out of me but the guys just Loved it...idk, men are crazy, lol.....☺....
Great seeing Eddie Cantor in the Epi...and Loving the war thats starting to brew between them, i know that Gyp is dying by the Finale so im hoping Chalky will be part of his killing...☺...
I agree. Even though I could have done without seeing Bobby Canavale's man parts, the entire murder scene and aftermath was very, very well done. Starting with Benny walking in shooting everyone except Gyp. Then, seeing Gyp walk through the aftermath from the overhead angle was really, very well shot.
I liked this episode for the comedy factor. Sigrid clocking that guy over the head, the flowershop guy's 'pressing issue' comment, Gyp's 'today's paper, yesterday's news' comment, and the awkwardness of Margaret bumping into Nucky and Billie in the dress shop had me cringing out loud. It wasn't the best episode in terms of story development, but it was still cracking good fun.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
It's so a dream...

Wasn't really feeling this episode. I really miss Richard, he has been so sidelined this season and it is a shame.

ReplyDeleteYeah. I think most of the viewers didn't need to see that! XD
