Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with The Invincible Iron Man (#1) in May of 1968.

Iron Man 3 is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

  1. "Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?"

Let's just say that Robert Downey Jr. makes both and leave it at that

  2. Really looking forward to this one, Iron Man 2 was a bit of a let down but I loved what Joss Whedon and RDJ did with Tony in the Avengers and this looks like Tony will be on the run and against it all which sounds fun. Shane Black is also a great writer and worked well with RDJ on Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

  3. This sounds like a great plot for a movie, let's hope it delivers. But it is RDJ so it's already got that going for it. (that's supposed to sound positive, if it didn't come across that way)

  4. It sounds interesting and terrible at the same time.

  5. Here here. Tom Cruise (rumoured to have been approached to play the role originally), could NEVER fill the shoes of Tony Stark/Iron Man. RDJ rules!!!

  6. WHAT!?I didn't know that...
I think I was actually happier not knowing this little fact.In what world would Tom Cruise be a good Iron Man?!
Robert Downey Jr IS Tony Stark. In my opinion Marvel nailed the majority of the casting for the movies.

  7. I forget the exact source, I read it via some article link over at IMDB a few weeks ago. Problem could find the same info via Google or similar. Needless to say, I wasn't all too thrilled to see who MIGHT have been Tony Stark.
