  1. Well, it's not what I would call "High Drama", but it was entertaining and had a lot of fun characters. The pilot introduced the characters well and set up the series nicely.

It does have that polished CBS feel to it though which I don't always like, and it has a lot of those "too slick by half" character moments that I'm not a fan of usually. Yet somehow it all worked for me the majority of the time since the show does not take itself too seriously.

I don't see any awards in its future, and it may not last for the better part of a decade like many CBS shows, but I found the pilot fairly successful and think Vegas could easily get renewed..

  2. I did not like why MC had a Bald Head....i grew up in the 60's and men did not shave their heads....the only bald headed men u would see were 80 yr old's....☺.....

  4. MC has been bald for over 20 years, whether he shaves it or not its been like that for as long as i remember.

  5. He shaves it I'm sure.
He used to be on a show called "The Commish" where he had the typical hair halo and forehead wisps. Looks like a totally different man! XD
I did not mind Chiklis bald much I guess, but it is a good point. Shaving to bald like that did not come into vogue until well after the 60s.

  7. Hi laura....thank u for standing corrected.....in my post i said i grew up in the 1960's so i knew what was in style back then....and this show Vegas is from 1960 and no men back then used to shave their heads...even if they were going bald they would stay with their side hairs on their heads so it wasnt even fashionable yet till the 2000's.....☺.....

  8. Yep,i know, i also grew up in the 60's! Kids were still getting crew cuts, and most men for their jobs but even that went out of style by 1965.

  9. I thought it was fantastic. Loved the characters. Anytime you can get Dennis Quaid, The Thing and Trinity in the same show, it will probably be good.

  10. Well... I was looking forward to it but then the weak ratings made me doubt whether or not I should get invested, but I thought I should at least watch the pilot. I have some mixed feelings. The acting was by far the best part of the show. And I am not talking only about the obvious Dennis Quaid, I thought Jason O'Mara and Carrie An Moss were also very good. I also really enjoyed the family dynamics between Dennis Quaid, Jason O Mara and the kid, Dixon (dunno the actor's name). There is also a lot of potential for amazing storylines to be told. This being said, it bored me a lot in certain parts. I hate that they are turnng a show with all this potential in another procedural. The procedural part of it was completey boring, I could no get invested at all, so it was just meh... I don't know. I think I will keep saving it, but I don't think I will watch unless the ratings allow or a more clearer picture. I would risk it if I was in love with the show (Last Resort) but that's not the case, so meh. I wish it the best of luck though.

  11. I can see how this would fit really well into the CBS Tuesday lineup. It's not a revolutionary change, but it is definitely an incremental step-up in quality and style for CBS and I respect that. I enjoyed it. I might not watch every week, but Dennis Quaid was great. It really reminded me of what I missed in Longmire. I look forward to it being enjoyable for as long as CBS can pay for it.

  12. I thought this was slow and boring. The only redeeming quality was the acting and even the dialogue was well-written, but overall totally lacked any intrigue or drama... Not my cup of tea :/
