The 2012 STV Favourite TV Series Competition - Day 33 - Semi Final 1 - Game Of Thrones vs. Once Upon A Time

17 Aug 2012

Hey folks,

Yesterday saw our final finished show exit the competition. Credit is due for LOST at being the highest places finished show in the competition. It is always going to be tough for a show no longer on the air to generate enough buzz to beat the big and active fanbases, but LOST ground through to make the final eight.

Credit is also due to Castle, which is emerging as many peoples tip for the title following Supernatural's exit from the competition. Supernatural is now confirmed in 5th place overall, but the Winchester followers will feel that they are capable of more next year. Expect them to come back strong... Castle now will face NCIS in tomorrows Semi-Final, and will hope for as easy a victory as it had over LOST yesterday. A 62% win for the ABC procedural was the most comfortable of the Quarter Finals, highlighting its strong prospects moving forward.

And to today, we have an epic battle as the conquerors of Fringe and Supernatural go head to head for a place in the final. Both shows have over performed to reach this far, but for one show there is a real chance at becoming the biggest show of 2012 on SpoilerTV. It is Game of Thrones vs. Once Upon A Time. The final four is about to become one lighter.

Let the battle commence!

If you want to see the draw for the rest of the competition, and see which show will take on which other show then head HERE for a look.

  1. Easily Game of Thones for me today. Epic TV, and one of my favourite of the year!

    ReplyDelete
  2. OUAT! Although I plan to read the Game of Thrones books and watch the show eventually.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Game of Thrones, hands down.

    ReplyDelete
  4. How could i not go with Game Of Thrones!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I can't believe that first SN and Fringe aren't competing to get to the final. This is a weird year. Voted for Once Upon A Time as I don't watch Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I can't believe that SN and Fringe aren't competing in the final four. Went with Once Upon A Time, since I never got into Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh my...I actually can't decide. I'll come back later. Pros/cons anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm still thinking..er, agonizing over it.

    ReplyDelete

    once upon a time

    ReplyDelete
  10. Once Upon a Time. Although it's inconsistent, when it's good, it's very imaginative. I haven't gotten into Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I cannot understand how Once Upon A Time could win over Game Of Thrones. Anyway for me GoT is clearly the better show by far.. (Even though I really enjoy OuaT)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Game of Thrones by far! Of course after defeating SN, OUAT looks like it can win this competition.

    ReplyDelete
  13. As much as I like OUaT, it's irrelevant fluff compared to GoT for me

    ReplyDelete
  14. OUAT, don't watch GoT
Want Castle or OUAT to win this years competition as those are the only two shows that are left in the competition that I currently watch

    ReplyDelete
  15. I never expected either of this to make it past last round and it sucked to lose supernatural and fringe but I gie a major hats off (if I were wearing a hat) to game of thrones and once upon a time for doing what I (and I think a lot of others) believed was undoable.
Today I vote for once upon a time because it is a brilliant show with some awesome characters and episode and plot twists with a first season that had me losing every minute. Never seen game of thrones but once has been in my favorites list since its pilot and I can't wait for next season

    ReplyDelete
  16. The ONLY good coming out of Supernatural's loss is that I won't have to vote against Game of Thrones, which currently ranks No.2 on my favorite shows list.
I really like Once Upon a Time, but for me it simply can't compete today.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I wouldn;t bet against Once Upon A Time after it beat Supernatural.... but Game of Thrones got my vote.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am fan of Supernatural, because my favorite show out of the fight. I vote for Game of Thrones!

    ReplyDelete
  19. OMG! How OUAT is winning??? GOT is so much better!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I am a big fan of Game of Thrones, but OUAT remind me Lost and I enjoyed it more than GoT this year, so I voted OUAT!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I like Game of Thrones, and don't watch OUAT; but I voted for OUAT because I'm pissed that GOT beat Fringe.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree. Once is fun fluff but it's rather incoherent at times, inconsistent and awkward at best.

    ReplyDelete
  23. OH NO! I just saw tomorrows semi final...i'm done for,now that's just cruel!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I love them both but I have to go with Game of Thrones!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Game Of Thrones is just better in every way.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I know a lot of people love OUAT, but I bailed after a half-dozen or so eps.

GOT is a remarkable achievement - long live the Half-Man.

    ReplyDelete
  27. This quote right her proves how little a few votes from haters can change the outcome. I just hope it don't come down like the last poll 25 vote poll.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Love Once Upon A Time........BEST show! :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. hmm... I voted for OUAT for the sole reason I do not watch GOT.
However, the best tv show will always be FRINGE
No poll will change that fact.

"They are Coming" - September, 4x22

    ReplyDelete
  30. I absolutely agree with you about Fringe! And yes,

    They are coming! #Fringe!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love Once Upon A Time and was really disappointed that ABC chose to air stupid reality shows this summer instaead of Once Upon A Time reruns.

    ReplyDelete
  32. GoT is all sex, sex on top of damn sex...its all I see when I watch it. I mean seriously? thats great enjoyment? OUAT is much better. There is love all around and sure Prince Charming and Snow can get nauseating but at least they aint having sex every 15 mins...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Really GoT beat Fringe how? I see no signs of life in this poll.

    ReplyDelete
  34. OUAT is more of a guilty pleasure for me -where as I haven't had a chance to get into GOT just yet - gotta lend my support to OUAT on this one (and hopefully all the way to a win)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Once Upon A Time, i don't even have to think twice about it

    ReplyDelete
  36. Game of Thrones without a doubt !

    ReplyDelete
  37. This is really dificullt for me. I like them both...

    ReplyDelete
  38. I assume you have only watched clips of GoT, because there's a whole lot going on apart from just sex. Your hyperbolic rant makes you seem either naive or repressed. I think it suffers from a fairly sexist view point when it comes to sex/nudity in general, but there's usually a reason for the power play, much as there is in the real world.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'll have to think a little longer on this.

    ReplyDelete
  40. OUAT for the win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. OUAT over GoT by that much. I still think something is up especially if they beat Castle too.

    ReplyDelete
  42. No up at all. Looking at the numbers they are perfectly in line with what is expected in terms of total votes.

    ReplyDelete
  43. nellymendezcolon16 August 2012 at 17:43

I think a big group of supernatural and once upon of time strong fan base wants to kick GAME OF THRONES and they are .//..WINNING.//....YESSSSS.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If this was the last year I would have chosen GOT.

But after Season Two which was full of character mess ups, plot inconsistencies and filler tv-show-original storylines, OUAT wins in everything in terms of quality.

So voting for OUAt, the best new show sine Buffy.

    Let's make the fairytales real.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Game of Thrones for me, just cannot get into Once upon a Time!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yes because show you expected did not win and show you did not wanted to win, is winning, something is up?

OUAT has a huge fanbase by now. Don't be surprised that it can put up a fight :)

We oncers downed the beast that is Supernatural and we are not ready to give up just yet ;]

    ReplyDelete
  47. as of filler filled inconsistent season two that butchered the source material HARD? Nope.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Well at last the irrelevant fluff is enjoyable and does not butcher the source material of G.R.R.Martin :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would have agreed when GOT was in S1, but after inconsistent, horrible and unevenly paced mess of Season two, sadly OUAT wins by far for me :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Game of Thrones will come back in this poll, I'm sure.

"What do we say to the god of death?" "Not today."

The poll hasn't been open that long. The Supernatural vs. OUAT poll started out with one show pulling ahead too and when the 24 hours were over it had turned out to be a very close call. Wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Your not beating Castle in even you can't be that blind. Castle is bigger in more rapid that fairy tales over here. Far as I know Supernatural is rapid too, we had a fair share with them over the years. OUAT is growing but it's not at that level yet. GoT is also growing in a better show than OUAT on ever level. Goodbye Borednow.

    ReplyDelete
  53. What happens if Castle lose? Anything is possible if you just believe.lol

In Yes we are still hardcore:)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Was Chuck or X files ever in this contest?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Once Upon A Time has my vote. Its a fun show an has characters I'm actually invested in and able to root for.

    ReplyDelete
  56. These are incredibly different shows, but I love both of them. But vote is going to OUAT though.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Victoria Jaramillo16 August 2012 at 19:17

    Once Upon a Time

    ReplyDelete
  58. Without a doubt for me this is Game of Thrones. I like Once Upon a Time but in no way does it measure up to the writing, the characters, and the world of Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Okay, I give, you win. The down arrows are out of control. I didn't even make a decision yet, and I'm getting negatives. Sad now, maybe won't vote afterall.

    ReplyDelete
  60. So I guess if Oncers manage to have OUAT win against Castle, you will do what? Start a revolution? :)

Stuff happens. Fairy tales are real :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. See i told you! I made a comment about tomorrows poll, and that it would be difficult, didn't say who or what and it still happened..so yep,i know how you feel. :(

    ReplyDelete
  62. GOT OUAT? *bad dum tsh*

"Magic is coming" see, now, at least once is upfront about what's coming. #I'mlookingatyouFringe

I'll keep my day job. Promise.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Sounds like you will start one if Oncers win:)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I love both, but Once wins this one for me, sorry. :) Oncers unite!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I love the fact that Once is winning. Though I am still mad about SN not getting this far. I voted for Once, since I don't watch GoT and I never will watch it either. SN is the best show ever.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Winter is definitely coming! Game of Thrones where are you Fans??

    ReplyDelete
  67. Winter comes every year.
    Magic Is coming once :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Game of Thrones has a lot more depth. OUAT hasnt had much time to go too deep so GoT has got my vote this time.

    ReplyDelete
  69. THIS THIS This and This!! :) I loved GoT in sesason one but I don't know why I can't even finish season two.... The first season of OuaT was amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Game of Thrones! I really really hope it makes it to the final.

    ReplyDelete
  71. how in the hell is OUAT winning? it's so cheesy.....

    ReplyDelete
  72. Except that Martin overseas, approves and seems to be proud of the 'butchering' of the source material :)

And ofc OUaT is enjoyable, that's why I said that I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hasn't had much time to go to deep? GOT has 10 episodes each season where OUAT had 23 i believe?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oncers we need help GoT come hard! GO ONCE UPON A TIME!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Wait a minute this may turn out interesting. About 16 hrs left now I think.

    ReplyDelete
  76. OUAT beat two of my favorite shows, so I am definitely voting against it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. GASP! Thou Shall Strike Upon You. lol

    ReplyDelete
  78. Love em both, but it's GoT today...

    ReplyDelete
  79. I voted for Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Is it possible to have a Muti vote next year? People do to much plotting over here, and it's hard to battle a fandom and the people who want you lose at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Love both shows but OUAT is my fav of the two so that got my vote :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Haha the percentage of votes for Game of Thrones went up like 10% just now when WicNet tweeted about it... so yeah... things are about to get REAL =) Go GoT!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yeah, now were starting to have a competition!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Somehow i doubt it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. OUAT, definitely. I tried to get into GoT but it just isn't my cup of tea.

    ReplyDelete
  86. @disqus_ZsK2Y1Wq0c:disqus No, we will never have Multi-Votes. What would be the point?

I would simply then be a competition between between computer bots voting millions of times.

It would demean the whole system and make running the competition totally pointless and invalid.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I think they heard you Tony,GOT is starting to catch up! there is still time,no one won yet!

    ReplyDelete
  88. That's catchy! :) Like for that alone!

    ReplyDelete
  89. That was low,lol...your lucky i'm in a good mood! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Don't get me wrong, I love OUAT very much, but Game of Thrones is... Game of Thrones (enough said)

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm sorrry but what the fuck is Pushing Daisies? Game of Thrones for the win!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Spoiler TV is a pop site now, and it's getting to a point where you can't tell if your facing the fandom or the people against you. 1 IP goes along way. People have now made pages just to organize to go against you. I guess we have to chalk it up, but I thought Multi votes with capcha would please some folks.

    ReplyDelete
  93. @disqus_ZsK2Y1Wq0c:disqus Yep, we're getting popular but that won't stop us trying to make polls as fair as possible :)

Do you have a link to any of these pages. I'd love to read them :)

    Polldaddy don't currently offer Captcha's I'm afraid.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Game of Thrones!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Thats cool:) We do appreciate you guys making the poll fair.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Seriously? As much as I love Once, Game of Thrones is a weekly one-hour movie!

Amazing writing, amazing acting, amazing cinematography. I cannot recall one moment of "Are you kidding me?" or "As if they just went there," while Once did have its ups and downs throughout its first season.

    ReplyDelete
  97. OUAT for sure. People can complain about who wins all they want but facts are facts. We are all different and all like different things. That doesn't make one side or the other wrong, it's what makes life more fun. I am a thirty year old mom who works more than full time and deals with people all day long. When I turn on the tv I do it to escape the real world. I want princesses/ princes, dragons and a little bit of cheesy, cotton candy fairy fluff.

    ReplyDelete
  98. He he . We try our best :)

If you find any sites/links I'd love to see them :)

    Welcome to the site :)

    ReplyDelete
  99. Winter comes but once a year,
    while Magic is always here.
    VOTE OUAT

    ReplyDelete
  100. Game of Thrones! Although, OUAT fan base has already proved itself once in this competition!
    WINTER IS COMING!

    ReplyDelete
  101. I swear, everything you post is pure gold, Sandi.

    ReplyDelete
  102. *blushes* I'm in a no nonsense mood tonight XD

    ReplyDelete
  103. It's like Mortal Kombat all over again for this round too.
Winter is coming GoT aka sub Zero FTW

    ReplyDelete
  104. Game of Thrones for me!:D

    ReplyDelete
  105. There's an argument to be made that OUAT is more creative as the books are already written, just sayin.

    ReplyDelete
  106. A very solid argument. Much of the material is already present in the books. But it is just as creative in bringing the material from the books to life on screen and even developing characters and situations that the books did not have (such as Arya and Tywin's talks, or showing a conversation between Cersei and Robert Baratheon.

But one could also make the claim that OUAT isn't as creative because its taking the stories that already exist. I am not saying Once Upon a Time isn't creative. It is. Being able to take these stories and mold them into new stories that work within the show is creative.

I enjoy both shows, but for me, Game of Thrones is far superior.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Adam you are throwing me off with this bracket change-up. If it followed earlier years and sporting events, it would be Game of Thrones vs. NCIS today. As it is, I abstain from voting since I don't like either GoT or OUaT. Such a shame because I would vote for NCIS and Castle over the ones today.

    ReplyDelete
  108. A better question, what in the blazes os so good about Castle?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Lost, Dexter, GOT and The Wire are all better then Fringe IMO, but Fringe is great. OUAT is good but it's not here the level of these shows YET. We shall see where they take it.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Can you tell me what is good about Castle? I don't understand how Castle beat Lost, but I have also never watched Castle.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I Voted For Once Upon A Time Remember I Love Magical And Romaice

    ReplyDelete
  112. Is still possible! GOT si sooo much better!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. GOT has more viewers then all of them, that's guaranteed it's just that it's on HBO so people download it lol.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Fair point, I take that on board.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Exactly how I felt about GOT, I tried I really did.

    ReplyDelete
  116. antonio dueñas17 August 2012 at 02:09

Love both but I choose Game of Thrones.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Holy crap, GOT made a HUGE comeback. When does this poll end does anyone know?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Ha! I didn't notice that until you pointed it out. Funny switch up.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I believe it closes around 7 am est, they are now listing the time above but its in GMT so you'll have to figure it out....Nice comeback no!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Now this would be a fairytale ending if Thrones came from behind to win!

I don't see "happily ever after" in any Thrones character's future so this may be their only chance!

I wonder how many rounds now Game of Thrones has been behind a fair amount and come back to win (or at least make it close if this ends up a loss)?

    ReplyDelete
  121. I totally missed it. Thanks for the info.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I like bot, but my Feelings go with Once Upon a Time...cuz the feeliiings...

    ReplyDelete
  123. 03:05 GMT = 22:05 EST

    ReplyDelete
  124. what i dont understand is how this once upon a time is winning everything. its only in its 1st season and its beating out long term shows...
Not to bash the show at all but i couldnt stay interested in it after 2 episodes...
    It just dont get it

    ReplyDelete
  125. Haven't seen any GOT, and I've seen a few of OUAT and enjoyed it. I've been meaning to finish OUAT and eventually try GOT, but for today, OUAT gets my vote.

    ReplyDelete
  126. supernatural fans took this competition off. that's alright though they got them them two people's choice awards this year

    ReplyDelete
  127. Sorry mate! It's been this way since the start but next time I shall try and make it more clearer. You have a good memory as well, as I couldn't and can't remember how it was laid out last year :P

At least you'll definitely have one of your favourites in the final!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Season 3 and 4 will blow you out of the water. The first two books are used to build into book 3 (what seasons 3 and 4 will be based on), and book 4 and 5 are used to build into book 6 (not out yet of course). So imagine how good seasons 3 and 4 will be knowing the 1st two were only building into it. It's going to be the best thing that's ever been on television. Mark my words.

    ReplyDelete
  129. oh come on!i mean yes OAUT is good but nowhere near that good!game of thrones is awesome!i still can't undrestant how it beat supernatural....

    ReplyDelete
  130. hhhh, OUAT needs to get back up! GOT can't be allowed to win this!

    ReplyDelete
  131. G.R.R.Martin can make bad decisions too :)
It does not change that every horrible addition to GOT S2 was pointless and destroyed those characters. :)

TV-show-original additions STINK of modern times, they do not fit into the unique world that game of thrones has. And they stall storylines.

What's next? Red Wedding is made into happy wedding and you dance around happily for that? eh?

    ReplyDelete
  132. DON'T lecture me on the books. I KNOW what is in the books, I LOVE the books. Loved them since the very first one was released.

,They already toned down things like Sansa's plotline and GOT S2 was full of fillers that BUTCHERED the material and characters. And now I have no hope that events like red wedding will be adapted accurately.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Game of Thrones and Once Upon a Time are my fav shows on air!!! I can't pick one over the other!!!! that's like making me pick what baby to save from a burning building!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  134. Game of Thrones Awesome come back!

    ReplyDelete
  135. so far this poll is a lot closer than I expected. I had some issues with GoT's structure this season. Had to give it to OUAT for this season.

    ReplyDelete
  136. OUaT is awesome and exciting, heartwarming and all around delicious. But some episodes, and plots are just weak and not well developed.

Game of Thrones is just better in quality all around, almost on a different level. This is a no-brainer for me.

    Besides, I just love Ros.

    ReplyDelete
  137. No doubt, it's Once Upon a Time! I like the world and characters more, than in Game of Thrones. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  138. Enjoy both, but it is Once for me.

    ReplyDelete
  139. OUAT! I like the plot, the characters more. It's more interesting, more amazing. ^^

    ReplyDelete
  140. Game of Thrones is better than anything else on T.V.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I ended up voting for GoT. But for me this has been the hardest vote to decide. I love the world of Westeros with a passion that ought to get me honorary membership of House Lannister, but OUAT has such an interesting concept. And the way they weave the different fairytales together has just worked so well thus far.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Had it not been a competition of the shows , then OUAT can never even stand a chance against GOT ..
GOT maybe the best thing on tv of all times ... Only shows which I think stand a fair chance against GOT's supremacy are The Wire and Breaking Bad
    Period.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I like both shows but my favorite character did not get a lot of air time In games of thrones this season. I voted for once upon a time because of Rumpelstiltskin I think he is one of the best characters I have ever seen on TV. Plus he is played by one of my favorite actors Robert
    Carlyle.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Looks like it's going to be another nail-bitter...

    ReplyDelete
  145. Come on oncers! victory is(literally) less than percent away!

    ReplyDelete
  146. nellymendezcolon17 August 2012 at 12:07

common adult fairy-tales lovers make a big effort

    ReplyDelete
  147. 50,06 % for Game of Thrones right now.....Yay!!! Please please end it with a win for GoT.

    ReplyDelete
  148. come on OUAT!! 50/50!! keep going guys!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Another person who resorts to hyperbole and straw men...is it any wonder than fans who want to discuss/debate shows rationally rather than it becoming a pissing contest leave this site 9_9

Your *opinion* is that it was destroyed, the *facts* are it's more popular than ever. Just because you can't tell the difference between the two (or see how the change in media from written word to TV show on a budget necessitated most changes) doesn't make you *right*. Grow up!

  150. Who's your favourite character on GoT?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Its amazing how 3 times in a row OUAT won the exact same way with about the same percent.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Yep, they have a very dedicated and active online fandom. The campaigns and efforts they went to were very impressive.

They did not win 3 times in a row in "the exact same way". They won three times and three times it was close, but there is hardly anything surprising about that. As we're nearing the final round results are bound to be less clear. I'm getting really tired of people questioning an entire poll just because their favorite shows are no longer up for competition or results may not be what they expected/hoped for. Get over it.

  154. Yeah, I agree with Ann-Sophie. What's with people questioning that the poll is been messed with? The Once fans have been busting their asses on tumblr/twitter/facebook, trying to get people to vote. I've been graphics and gifs made for it, I've been mini-fanfiction stories written involving the characters voting in the poll, I've seen tons of posts, reblogs, and inboxes shared online asking people to vote for OUAT. Once Upon A Time won because of the dedicated fanbase, not because of any tampering with the poll. If you want your show to win next time, take a note from the Once fandom, and try harder.

  155. I totally agree with you there. Watched every damn episode of GoT and found the story boring, the characters flat and terribly unlikeable and not engaging (aside from arya and the khaleesi, who got all of about 5 minutes of screen time per episode, if that) and the show, while gorgeously shot, unbelievably sexist. This is fantasy, not historical drama, so why if the show so damn sexist? Ugh. Refuse to keep watching. And the argument that ”it's popular so that means it's good” is so flawed, I don't even know where to begin. People eat lots of McDonald's but that doesn't make their food good. Or, in the realm of books and film, take the Twilight series. ”People like it” does not automatically equal ”It's good.” (that goes for all the shows on this poll.) Just my opinion, of course.

  159. Kevin i notified both OUaT fan sites and GOT fan sites along with everyone else who tweeted, the two OUaT site has many followers and they themselves put out the word. That is why they had such a turn out in these last two rounds. There is nothing going on behind the scenes,no wrong doing as you keep eluding to.What are you doing to help get people to vote? How are you getting the word out?

    ReplyDelete
  160. Congrats Oncers you made it to the finals!

    ReplyDelete
  161. I can't believe that OUAT won...

    ReplyDelete
  162. All the unhappy Fringe fans voted against GOT.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I didn't so that automatically invalidates your "all" part.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I didn't i voted for GOT

    ReplyDelete

  168. OH MY GOD YES.

    Winter has come and gone
    But Fairytales are true.
    And Magic only comes once.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I guess that just makes Once fanbase more active in those social networks and more willing to get out and vote. Just that, not more not less. NO conspiracies needed.

    ReplyDelete
  170. All the unhappy supernatural fans voted for GOT.

See? fallacious arguments can work both ways :)

    ReplyDelete
  171. I'm pretty sure by year 3 you will hate the show as you do TVD in others.lol

    ReplyDelete
  172. and we will make the bread when the wheat has already grown.

So far pedigree behind OUAT is far more inspiring and confidence-worthy than TVD :) Of course anything can happen, any show can go bad ;)

  173. I'm a Fringe fan, and I voted for GOT.

    ReplyDelete
  174. It's based in medieval type times.... Kind of like our world was in like 1300 A.D. in West Europe. I'm sure you know this, but things were massively sexist back then..... As far as the characters being flat, we couldn't disagree more on that but I've also read the books, and reading the books gives them more life then the show can ever give them. But the show still does a good job. Your entitled to your opinion though. And anyway you swing it, Tyrion is hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Wow, Once Upon a Time fans have really rallied behind it. I missed voting, but as much as I do like Once Upon a Time, I would have gone with Game of Thrones. They're shows with two very different tones, though, so this was an interesting decision.

    ReplyDelete
  176. YES! Victory to my favorite new show! Congrats to fellow Once Upon a Time fans! We did it! =) Finals, here we come!

    ReplyDelete
  177. This is tragic. OUAT is kinda cute but GOT is serious fiction and great TV. Better than a lot of films with similar plots. Then they say people's voice is God's voice. Ugh! The downsides of democracy. 8-0
