And we finally have a rating for Hansel & Gretal: Witch Hunters!
Paramount had several different cuts of the film in test screenings but has decided it will be releasing the more graphic R rated version of the film theatrically. Jeremy Renner,Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen and Peter Stormare star in the movie which takes place 15 years after Hansel & Gretel's traumatic gingerbread-house incident, they have now become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.

What is exactly is with this hollywood trend of turning folk stories into adult stories. Granted I'm well aware the pre-Grimm brothers versions were not exactly G-rated... but still.

  2. I wouldnt call this as Hollywood as you point it out to be. It`s only produced by Will Ferrell and his friends. The director is a norwegian known for g-rated movies. I like the idea with the movie. It looks far better than just a folk story-slasher.

  3. I need this movie purely for the wonder that is Jeremy Renner. A R Rated version could have potential.
