Thanks to Bruce_F for the heads up.

White Collar has snagged The Good Wife's Titus Welliver and 24 vet Reed Diamond for guest-starring roles this coming season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Welliver, 51, will play Senator Terrence Pratt, a prominent politician with ties to Neal's crooked cop father. Sen. Pratt will do whatever it takes to ensure his past remains hidden. Diamond, 44, will portray Cole Edwards, a well-known and ruthless New York construction magnate with strong political ties. Additionally, fellow 24 alum and Sons of Anarchy actress Sprague Grayden will pop up this season as a younger version of Ellen (Judith Ivey), Neal's old family friend who was introduced in the Season 3 finale.

Welliver is best known for playing another politician — former State's Attorney Glenn Childs on The Good Wife — and has also enjoyed stints on Deadwood, CSI and Lost as "The Man in Black." Diamond, who recurred on the final season of 24, also appeared in several episodes of the final season of Desperate Housewives and currently stars on Franklin & Bash.

  1. I like Titus Welliver, will always see him as MIB, curious to see him on White Collar.

  2. Best thing about this is that it reinforces that Neal's past will get significant airtime this season. I've been waiting for this since season 1.

  5. Both of these guys are going to be good guest stars. From the descriptions, the characters these two will be playing are right in their wheelhouses.

  6. Loved him as MIB but for me it seems that there hasn't been a show he wasn't at least a guest star... So I can't really say that his role on Lost is THE role he'd played. It's just always great seeing him and I hope he'll pop up on many more shows I watch :)

  7. Very true, I would love to see Titus get a starring role in a show, or at least a recurring one. MIB and his character on Touch are about as close as he's come to recurring. Still, at least he's getting more exposure.
