White Collar - Episode 4.02 - Advance Review

18 Jul 2012

Episode 4.02 “Most Wanted” of White Collar picks up only hours after Neal was captured by Collins. This episode features quite a bit of action and at the same time mixes in the humor of some of White Collar’s interesting plot twists.
Instead of simply shooting Neal, like Peter talked about for the whole first episode, Collins just locks him up. Of course anyone that has watched White Collar knows that locked + Neal Caffrey = unlocked. Neal gets free from his chair and almost free from his cell, but is stopped short and joins Mozzie’s club. If you’re confused by this “club” I invite you to re-watch an episode from season 2 that deals with Mozzie specifically.
After some talking about how exactly to find Neal, Peter teaches Mozzie a trick from Catching Neal Caffrey 101 – Start with the girl. Mozzie and Peter have quite a few scenes together in this episode. At one point Mozzie asks Peter exactly what his intentions are with Neal. Peter avoids the question and says they must find him first. Mozzie and Peter eventually come up with a plan to attempt to free Neal from Collins. This is a funny scene, but it proves that for a con man and an FBI agent, Mozzie and Peter rely way too much on a boy selling papayas.
After getting back to the safe house the group devises a plan to get Neal off the island, without having to constantly run from the law and Peter figures out something interesting about Dobbs.  In a scene that is funny, but at the same time ridiculous Peter acts as a bartender while Mozzie and Neal try to pull off a “fake and bake”. I’ll let you use your imagination. I won’t say if you’re right or wrong but be sure to post your guesses about what you think this is in the comments below.

Overall this was a pretty decent episode of White Collar. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the season brings us.

Two Hints about Major Spoilers for the episode:
1.Someone you would expect to leave the island stays on the island and someone you might expect to stay actually leaves.
2. Things will not be the same for the White Collar team as a result of a major game changer in the end of the episode.

Rating : 8/10 Stars

White Collar airs on Tuesdays at 9/8c on USA Network. Be sure to come back here to let everyone know what you thought.

  2. I think Mozzie stays on the island and Neal's island love interest is the one who leaves.

  3. That's my first guess as well. If it's true, though, here's hoping Mozzie gets his island vacation out of his system pretty quickly! (Or at least pays regular visits back north. I'd settle for that!)

  4. Never underestimate a kid with papayas. . .

  8. My two cents: I think that Dobbs comes back to the United States and Collins is the one who actually stays.
