True Blood - A Presidential appearance (Barack Obama)

11 Jul 2012

There was so much sound and fury generated last month when "Game of Thrones" was revealed to have aired a passing few seconds of what appeared to be former President George W. Bush's head on a pike that it seems improbable that yet another HBO show would go after a major political figure -- but it did.

  2. Shame on True Blood, that is beyond dumb what they did.

  3. Damn. I didn't even notice that. I do recall that Point Break with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves had bank robbers called Ex - Presidents because they wore President's masks. I think there's a difference though as portraying someone who is alive with a mask and someone who's head is on a stick. Either way acting POTUS should still get more respect than that.

  4. When I first read this though I thought it was going to be like he was going to make a guest appearance on the show. I think I saw Michelle do something on iCarly earlier but I thought, "That's an odd choice of a show"

  5. I thought the same thing... it seemed a little strange that a "family man" would make an appearance on TRUE BLOOD of all shows.

  6. I don't think I would have noticed if they hadn't said anything to be honest. A little annoyed but that's about it.

  7. It doesn't bother me, the usage of the masks. I mean, they make the things and no one's ever said they couldn't. Obama probably just laughed, if he even saw the show.
