  4. What's Mike doing wrong exactly? Even after Donna lied to his face and then played the law degree card on him, Mike still didn't bite her head off. Mike was blunt and straightforward but he wasn't mean. He's simply trying to protect Harvey and his way of protecting him happens to be different from Donna's.

  6. It's not telling Donna she should tell Harvey, it's the way he does it. Self-righteous indignant bratty Mike of this season bugs me. He's not shown any loyalty to the firm or to Harvey this season, so I don't think he thinks Donna should tell Harvey out of a desire to protect the firm but rather because he thinks it is the "right" thing to do. And coming from a recovering drug addict, who got kicked out of college for cheating, who's broken who knows how many laws taking LSATs for people, who presents a clear and present danger to the firm pretending to be a lawyer, who sleeps with his best friend's girl while making out with another girl, and who hasn't had any faith in Harvey for the last three episodes, I don't really think moral righteousness is a good look on him and I don't think his compass points pure north.

  7. I think you may be reading more into Mike's actions this season than is actually there. Anyway, about the clip:

Mike is doing the same thing for Donna that Harvey has done for him on numerous occasions - giving her a tough love wake-up call. He tells her plainly that Harvey is operating under a false assumption and the longer he does that the more trouble he's going to be in. That's not about self-righteousness, that's about getting on top of an already bad situation ASAP. Donna needed to hear what Mike had to say in the exact way he said it so she'd stop dragging her feet and overcome her fear of Harvey's reaction because she obviously cares very deeply about what he thinks. In this case, that fear is holding her back from what she needs to do.

  9. I might be.

Just don't think Mike's in the position to be giving anyone a wake-up call, I feel like he is still in need of a major learn who his friends are moment after the last couple of episodes. He's not Donna's superior like Harvey is for him. If he'd approached as a friend I would have had a different opinion.

  10. I guess we're just interpreting what we see differently. I didn't get the impression that Mike was attempting to talk to Donna as a superior at all. All I saw was Mike motivating Donna to handle her business.
