It’s a girl for Caterina Scorsone!

The Private Practice star and her husband, musician Rob Giles, welcomed their first child, daughter Eliza, on Friday, July 6 in Los Angeles, Calif., Scorsone tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The actress, 30, delivered her baby at home with the assistance of midwives.

“We couldn’t be more in love with her and are overflowing with gratitude for this beautiful miracle,” the couple tell PEOPLE.

    Aw, congratulations to them! Love the name Eliza. Wonder if she'll have the first episode off since I'm pretty sure filming starts up again soon.
