Over the last couple of months we've been accepting submissions for our new banner competition. We've had LOADS of very talented and great looking entries. The SpoilerTV Team have gone through each entry and we've now picked our favourite 15 that you can now vote for. We tried to reduce the number to 10 but there were so many varying options from the SpoilerTV staff that we had to extend it to 15.
You can vote for up to 3 Entries in the poll below.
If you want to see how the banners will look on the actual site before vote follow these instructions.
1) Right Click on the image in the poll that you want to test and select "Copy LINK Location/Address"
2) Click THIS LINK
3) In the popup window paste in the link that you copied from Step 1) and press the button to set the banner.
It should then update SpoilerTV with that banner like below so that you can see what the banner looks like in real life on the site.
So once you've had a play with the banners feel free to vote in the Poll Below. Let us know which banner(s) you voted for and why in the comments below.
Results will be hidden until the Poll Closes at 9am GMT 21st June.
The Winning Banner along with the full poll results will be announced on 21st June.

ReplyDeleteMy choice would be 11 and 12. The idea behind making the poster is great but I am expecting a few modifications. Both them doesn't have many fan-favorite shows like Supernatural, Fringe, Grimm etc. If those characters are added that would be a perfect poster.

ReplyDeleteIf I have to choose, I want the 13th one to be the new banner. Clean and original, it stands out. Plus, lots of great shows are featured (Breaking Bad, Homeland, Fringe, True Blood, Dexter) - that's not a determinant criteria to me but it does make me root for it even more. Go 13 !
I like the idea behind the 4th one, too, it's got this originality that I think is worth noticing. However I'm not really fond of the fact that there are two unknown zombies from The Walking Dead on two pictures, and I'm not really fond of the featured shows to be honest, but that doesn't matter, the idea behind the banner makes it a solid #2.
I couldn't decide of a third choice, it was either the 5th (I like the colors but I'm not a fan of the head of Awake's Jason Isaacs upside down and Dexter put in front of the others), or the 15th (lovely colors and it's very clear but at the same time I wish it had featured more shows).
#1 : 13.

ReplyDeleteIts hard choosing a banner that represents a variety of shows for Spoiler and i found it even harder since most of these banners have SPN spotlighted in most of them,and in the others shows i do not watch.That being said my votes go to:
ReplyDelete#2-I really like this one,its clean,doesn't scream spoiler yet your draws your attention.
#9-This has the most variety,its busy but its balanced,again not one thing screaming spoiler or for a specific show,the more i look at it the more i like it.
#10- Another one i like,the color might be a little subdued,but i like that,and again,the more i look at it the more i like it.
I might have gone for #15 but it didn't represent enough shows.
My heart said 3, 9 and 10, so that's what I voted for. I think it's because on these 3 there are a lot of characters. And what is spoilertv.com? A site where you can find spoilers about EVERY show!

I had a hard time choosing between 15 and 13.... 13 is really original and 15 have beautiful colors, textures and pictures but saddly not enough shows on it... so I voted 13
Alright, first off: great work everyone who entered! I have to say I'm a bit sad that some of my favorites from all the entries didn't make it to those last 15, if they had my votes had been a tiny bit different. But love the option to customize the banner ;)
ReplyDeleteHow I chose: I prefer clean, not overcrowded banners; not focusing on the choice of characters/shows, because everyone has different favorite ones, you just can't please every taste, so better use the ones you love - even if they're not as popular as others. The coloring and overall artsy look decides.
(One question to the coloring, btw: is my browser playing tricks on me or did the colors of the site change a bit from a touch of green to blue?)
My votes go to 15, 1, 11 (because I love the scenery ;))

ReplyDeleteI am sorry I didn't put many more in my entry, but I have always had a hard time adding more than a few subjects to something I am working on. It always looks too bloated for me--too much to look at...So I just did what I could. :)
ReplyDeleteEven meeting the minimum requirement was kinda rough for me. I wasn't trying to slight anyone, I swear! :(
My personal favorite is #13. It's just damn good, and it covers a great amount of great shows from STV. I also really like #7 - enough shows in the banner to appeal to a broad spectrum, but also in line with the theme of the site (blue!). #4 is also really creative and well-done. I really like what they did with that one!

ReplyDeleteI wanted to choose it, because it was designed very well - but it is so irritating that the design is desperately suits to Fringe's famous poster with Olivia on the water tank, and she's still not there! I mean the designer maybe isn't a Fringe fan, but still, it's Fringe's final season this year and one of the biggest shows on the site, so I can't choose it because I won't be able to look at the banner and not thinking about the absence of Fringe.

ReplyDeleteI voted for the ones that don't only have scifi shows. SpoilerTV offers news about ALL shows on television so I think that the banners that feature not only Supernatural, True Blood, Game of thrones and Fringe are the ones that represent this site the best.

Down to a choice between 2 and 12 ( from 2, 7, 10 and 12) I tend not to be overly fond of the really busy ones but I also thing there are too few shows represented on banner 12 (which really appeals for me because it doesn't feel TOO busy.
