As you may or may not have noticed we've been using the slightly slower times here between major seasons to make some changes to the site.
The main focus of the changes were to make all our various sites have a more uniform user interface as well as adding new features and making the UI cleaner and more useable.

Here are a few of the highlights explained.
Image Gallery
We've given the Image Gallery a bit of spring clean to bring it in line with the colour scheme here on the main site and to hopefully make it load a little quicker.
We now have over 76,000 Images in our gallery!.

The Photo Gallery also has a new Favicon.

Forum
The Forum is also undergoing a UI Refresh to bring it inline with the other sites. This is about 90% completed so you may still see the odd colour here and there.

Like the Gallery we also have a new Favicon for the forum.

Twitter Accounts Icons
We've also given our Show Specific and Main Twitter Account Icons a refresh which we hope will make it easier to spot the SpoilerTV posts in your busy twitter streams.

Comment Policy Updated
We've also updated our comment policy. You can access the policy by clicking on the link at the top of each comment thread.

It then loads the policy in a new look window.

Scoop Submission Form
We've also updated our Submission Form that you can use to send us your great scoops!

Banner Selector
The Banner Selector has also received a facelift. The Banner Selector allows you to customise the the SpoilerTV Banner to any banner of your choice.

Also on SpoilerTV
At the bottom of each comment thread there is a new section called "Also on SpoilerTV". This surfaces comments and articles that the system thinks you might find interesting. This is currently in testing.

Homepage Link
And finally, due to popular demand we now have a simple "Homelink" button. This button will take you to the SpoilerTV Homepage from wherever you are.

We hope you find these changes useful and we hope to add more over the coming months.
As always, if you have any suggestions/feedback/bugs etc please don't hesitate in using the comments below or via our Feedback form, or if you prefer you can email me directly.

Thank you for adding a home button! I never mentioned anything but I admit it was annoying that there wasn't one whenever I wanted to go the home page. Now about the 'Also On SpoilerTV' at the bottom of the page. I don't like it myself. It just clutters the page in my opinion. I would rather not have it or have a feature to turn it on and off for those who do and don't want to use it.
ReplyDeleteTotally on board with the home button. Thanks! The changes look great and, for me at least, you've met the goal of speeding up the load time. I would still love it if you're reconsider adding a way to easily tell if you're logged in (rather than having to check the Start menu.)
ReplyDeleteOne question. There's a new menu at the top of the comment area. I think I understood that its main purpose is to set up an rss feed or track a topic via email...but what does the "# Stars" mean? How is this determined? I read the disqus update page but I missed that explanation. thanks
ReplyDelete... put the house to make the move is more easy and fast but where is the botton to connect to tweeter the blue one
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback Emily. We'll see if the developers plan on adding an opt out function for it.
ReplyDeleteThe Stars is simply a way of people "liking" a thread. It's does not do much yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's on the start menu. It's only shown if you are not already logged on
ReplyDeleteAndy,in the comment policy you have the word Drodown,i believe you meant drop down?
ReplyDeleteThanks, fixed :)
ReplyDeleteYour welcome! ;)
ReplyDelete... THANK YOU......
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you for the home button. It wasn't really any trouble to click on the link from the home menu but this makes things faster and I'm all for that.
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful but my handle has been changed at home and because of it, I can not register in the forums or do anything except post here where it is still normal. The 1978 is not on it. Is there some way to fix that?
ReplyDeleteOh, while I am thinking about it. Unless I missed something, are we no longer favoritiing to Facebook? I'm probably going to feel stupid after reading the answer. lol
ReplyDeleteNow I do because I just found it. I really need to get some sleep so I can concentrate again.
ReplyDeletelol Good job on the home button. I was going to complain about the lack thereof when I got in today.
ReplyDelete:)
Thank you to whoever fixed part of my problem. I was allowed to log in under my handle. It's still showing without the 1978 on it as far as my status goes.
ReplyDeleteReally love the new look to the site, it looks fresh and streamlined.
ReplyDeleteCould you drop me an email with a screenshot. I'm struggling to understand the issue I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteI saw you registered in the Forums. Drop me an email and let me know what's not working.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you're not clearing cookies you should stay logged on for 1 year before it "forgets" you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of service :)
ReplyDeleteCheers Lou!
ReplyDeleteGlad we nipped that in the bud ;)
ReplyDeleteFantastic changes you implemented there. Will feel a bit sad for you during the semi-final penalty shoot-out. ;)
ReplyDeleteHa lol. If we get that far :)
