Supernatural - Ultimate Episode Round 1P - Polls

19 Jun 2012

Important Announcement - Please Read:
The Best Show Competition  starts tomorrow on SpoilerTV so we will be taking a hiatus from this contest until it concludes. Once the Best Show is crowned, we will start round two in our search for the Ultimate SPN Episode. I greatly encourage you to participate in the Best Show contest and to get out the word to as many sites as possible. The show that wins will be the show that has the most websites encouraging their fans to vote. Supernatural has won 2 years in a row and that means we have a huge target on our back. Whether we win or lose doesn't matter as much as getting the positive buzz out about Supernatural to people who have never watched it. So use the comments to talk up the show and always play nice. In the past, we have gotten many people to try our little show that could.

Today we end round 1 so perfect timing for our little break. Round 1 has seen some tight races, celebrations when favorites have moved on to round 2, and unfortunately disappointment when episodes were voted off too soon. Mostly though it's been fun sharing opinions and remembering favorite scenes. I can't wait to continue the conversation in round 2. Episodes heading to round 2 include In My Time of Dying by the biggest margin yet (almost 94%), When the Levee Breaks, Heaven and Hell, and Hello, Cruel World. Leaving the contest are Family Remains, Bloodlust (awww), Everybody Loves a Clown (41% of the votes), and Sam, Interrupted. Quote nominations today come from the incomparable Mystery Spot and Jus in Bello - two of the finest episodes around. A nomination form for season 3 has been added below in case you missed any episodes. Also always comments are a big slice of pie and happy voting!

  1. Although the contest will be stopping for awhile, we will periodically have articles, recaps, and of course spoilers when they start shooting in July posted, so please keep checking in. If there are any articles you'd particularly like to see, let me know.

  2. 1) Born Under a Bad Sign....I thought this was a great ep. But there was no way I was going to pick "Let It Bleed" the second element of season 6 that makes my hackles stand on end.

    2) Hell House - I fear that I will be in the minority when all is said and done...but I really enjoyed this ep....and it gave me Spangler and Zedmore before they solidified their career path and became....Ghostfacers!

    3) Point of No Return - I suspect this isn't going to be the winning vote...but there was quite a bit I liked about the ep. Salvation isn't the emotional 'hands down' pick I expected it to be. So I thought I'd do something different.

    4) Tall Tales - The list of moments in this ep that I loved is really really really long. Easy pick

    ReplyDelete
  3. sniff. Why isn't there room for everybody to play? :-)

  4. Born Under a Bad Sign - A really strong episode in terms of both plot and acting. Jared does a great job playing Meg. And we got to see what was going on in Jo's life. (My darling Jo, how I wish the story hadn't abandoned you). I considered voting for Let It Bleed, since that episode, in conjunction with TMWWBK and TMWKTM, were what started me shipping Dean/Cas, so it holds a special place in my heart (ie. the place where it's broken), but in the end that doesn't make up for a mediocre plot.

Hell House - Prank war! Pre-Facers Ed and Harry! "What would Buffy do?" Good plot, good fun. And Then There Were None just didn't turn out to be everything it was trying to be, in my opinion. For one thing, the title gives away the fact that most of the characters were going to die. And it included Sampa, and killing him twice did not make up for his horrible, horrible presence. I was hoping that Gwen would be built up into a recurring character, so I was pissed about her being killed. And then Rufus being killed - show, stop bringing characters in just so that they can be killed to show that the stakes have been raised. It's transparent and manipulative and I hate it (I'm still mad about the Harvelles). Give them their own story, or something, before you kill them. And the ear-goo thing was silly and inconsistent.

Point of No Return - because it's season 5, there's lots of plot and lots of character development, and Castiel. I know Salvation leads into the finale of season 1, and I've watched it three times, but I still entirely forget what happen in that episode.

Tall Tales - I think this was the first heavily comedic episode, wasn't it? Anyways, it was a lot of fun.

  5. And today I ended up voting for TWO season 6 episodes.

    1. Let It Bleed. I adore this episode, even though it's emo as heck (though I am a fan of emo!) and so desperately sad and depressing. But it also meant Lisa and Ben lived to see another day, even if they had their memories of Dean erased (I actually kind of hate that part, but...). As for Born Under a Bad Sign; I like it, but it's not one I ever remember until it's up next when I'm rewatching seasons. Let It Bleed, however, I'll watch on purpose.

    2. And Then There Were None. This one wins because of Rufus! And the hilarious, hilarious, hilarious scene of Bobby, Rufus, Sam and Dean sticking their fingers in their ears to find the Kahn worm. I am not a fan of the worm, and the whole Eve aspect of this episode, but everything else about it was glorious. I loved seeing Dean go pretty near psycho on Samuel and I just wish he'd been the one to kill the old bastard. The only thing that makes this episode among the worst ever is that Rufus is killed. HATED IT. Still hate it. :( As for Hell House - the best parts of that episode are the pranks. I am fairly ambivalent about the Ghostfacers, and here they are not as intrusive as they are in Ghostfacers!, but And Then There Were None is another s6 ep I'll watch on a whim, so it gets my vote.

    3. Point of No Return - this was a tough one, and honestly I'll be good if either episode wins because Salvation has some great scenes (specifically Dean telling off John, I love that part!). Point of No Return is damn intense though - and for the 100th episode I thought it delivered in spades. It's among my favorites from season 5.

    4. Tall Tales, of course. The brothers fighting, the opposing perspectives of each other, Bobby, and of course, the Trickster! It's just a lot of fun, and Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things, while not bad (IMO), is certainly nowhere near as fun. In fact I kind of hate the "zombie" monster aspect of that episode. But we get the Impala back!

  6. My brain has already left on vacation so I'm not sure what you are saying. Sorry. If you are asking why we are stopping the polls, it's because the Best Show Competition is the biggest thing on SpoilerTV during the summer. I feel like running a separate poll contest would be kind of disrespectful, especially since Andy so graciously lets us use his site to do a daily poll. Also, the Best Show contest can get a little touchy. Some people are already upset that we are so active in the summer and I wouldn't want that to come into play during the contest. Third and most importantly to me, I will be on vacation all next week and it was going to be a logistical nightmare trying to do what needs to be done for these polls while in the middle of the ocean. :-P If you are asking about being able to write articles for SpoilerTV, just contact Andy. He will give you the information you need.

  7. First voted for Born Under A Bad Sign. Jared knocked it out of the part playing being possessed by Meg! I don't like Let It Bleed so easy choice for this one. Second I voted for Hell House. I love Sam and Dean pranking each other and this episode introduced Ed and Harry! The Ghostfacer! Third I voted for Point Of No Return. This was a harder choice for me. I love Salvation too! PONR was the 100th episode and it was done very well so that's why I voted for that. Fourth I voted for Tall Tales. I like Children shouldn't Play With Dead Things too but I just can't vote against the Trickster! It was funny seeing him mess with the boys and how they couldn't figure it out. lol! I'm really disappointed that these polls are going on a break. I would always look forward to these at the end of the day. :(

  8. My predictions in this race are different than yours it seems. I expect Hell House vs And Then There Were None to be an exceptionally close race. While I put ATTWN as the winner, it would not surprise me at all if Hell House wins. It all comes down to who is more hated - Ghostfacers or Grandpa Creepy. Also if brothers pranks outweigh Rufus.

As for Point of No Return, I would think this one wins easily. It's emoangsty, furthers the mytharc a whole lot, and is the turning point for Dean. You've got Zach's epic death and Sam trusting Dean too boot. The only way I see Salvation winning this is if a whole bunch of Jeffrey Dean Morgan fans descend on the poll.

    ReplyDelete
  9. 1. Born Under A Bad Sign -Just one of those classics. Possessed Sam was creepy especially with that line "My Daddy Shot Your Daddy in the Head" quote. Bobby was really awesome here too. Can't be fooled, oh yeah. :D Plus, I'll admit Hurt!Dean hit me in the gut. Jo treating his injuries was a great scene too.

    2. And Then There Were None- Hell House was great but I just love Rufus. haha But poor Rufus. RIP :(

    3. Point Of No Return- Have to vote for this one, as I label it as my all time favorite episode. This is the episode where Dean gets some fight back and Dean, Sam, Bobby, Castiel, and Adam are all in one room. Oh yeah. :D Plus the end of Zach. And some great brotherly scenes, friend scenes, and action scenes. And angry Cas was kinda hot- sue me for being shallow if you want. :P

    4. Tall Tales- Those Trickster episodes are hard to beat.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I loved And Then There Were None but I completely agree about the need for a moratorium on character death. Too many people have died only to come back in one form or another. It's gotten ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow! 2 season 6 votes. That's pretty shocking.I'm voting for both of those episodes too, although for different reasons. In fact I'm voting the same way for the last two also. However, the Impala comes back in Bloodlust so CSPwDT doesn't even get points there.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Trickster trumps almost everything. He gets my vote too. Plus I loved how the brothers saw each other in the flash backs - blah, blah, blah, blah rules! Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully the Best Show competition will be fun for you too. Then in no time we will be back and running for round 2.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Agreed about the Trickster and Rufus. I think I wish Rufus hadn't died more than any other character. Well, maybe Bobby. I still wish for some billionaire to love those 2 characters so much we get a spin-off series.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Born Under a Bad Sign

    Hell HouseSalvation

    Tall Tales

    ReplyDelete
  15. I know! All my professing of dislike for season 6 and here we have two votes in favor of it.

doh...you're right about the Impala. Geez! And it's not like I haven't watched season 2 something like a billion times straight through. Take away my fan card! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  16. 1. Let it Bleed - I like Born Under a Bad Sign and it had some good quotes, but this is probably the biggest episode that other people adore and I have no real attachment to. I vote for Let it Bleed because of Crowley and the Lisa possessed scene. Crowley rocks in this episode and I find it tragic that after spending so much time keeping Ben away from guns and all things hunting, Dean has to hand Ben a shotgun and tell him to shoot.

    2. And Then There Were None - It killed off the Campbells. That would be enough to get my vote, but it also had a snarky Rufus, Sam kill shot, lots of jumps like when Grandpa Creepy came back, and the most fun visual shot of them all when they have their fingers in their ears. This episode is high on my list because it was tense and fun. A rare combination past season 3 and the most snark in season 6.

    3. Point of No Return - by default mostly but also for the truly epic Zachariah death. I'm still not sure if I rooted more for the Zach, Ruby, or John deaths.

    4. Tall Tales because it made me laugh the entire way through whereas CSPwDT mostly just made me roll my eyes. It's one of my least favorite episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  17. That would be awesome. Maybe start the show where Bobby lost his wife and go through all the hunts he went on with Rufus.

I had started a fanfic about that once, never got around to completing it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. CSPwDT could have used something like the Impala coming back to give it a little zip. Instead we get Psychology for Dummies Sam, Aggro Dean, and Whiny Zombie Girl. At one point I was hoping the Impala would run them all over in a "clearly they are all possessed" hat trick.

    ReplyDelete
  19. That's my thought too. Surely I can't be the only person who wants to know what went down in Omaha.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Born under a bad sign - This episode had me wondering what the hell was going on with Sam and if he'd really gone evil. I was left guessing for pretty much the entire episode. And while I also love Let it bleed, which did have so much epicness, somehow born under a bad sign just seems to squeak past.

And then there were none - This was a tough choice for me, since I love Hell house. But seeing Samuel get his somehow wins out.

Point of no return - Zach's death and Dean almost saying yes to Michael are the main reasons. Salvation, i dont know, its a good episode, just something about it cant hold its own to point of no return

Tall Tales - It was funny and of course we meet my fave angel for the first time. Not really a fan of children shouldnt play with dead things. I mean it has its moments, but it cant compete with Tall tales.

    ReplyDelete
  21. omg me too! I SO want to see a Bobby and Rufus show. Seeing their origins etc, that would be awesome. Would need some very clever writers though, both have such witty comebacks lol.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have to confess to being over Crowley by the end of season five. I think my subconscious anti-Crowley-ness may color my vote for all of his eps in season 6.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Aw, say it isn't so. I think I fangirl Mark Sheppard more than anyone else associated with the show. :-P

    ReplyDelete
  24. Samuel dying made the episode for me too. I'm also really glad it was Sam who killed him instead of Dean.

    ReplyDelete
  25. HAHAHA! :) I admittedly like the ep a bit more than that, but I kind of agree.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love the fingers in the ears moment in ATTWN. So dang funny. Among my favorite moments in season 6 (believe it or not I have a few).

Zachariah...I loved to hate him. Mostly because the actor playing Zach was so likable, but the character was such a douche.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I just have to say that getting to only pick two quotes for Mystery Spot is the cruelest torture ever. I'm only 10 minutes in and I have almost as many quotes I want to nominate. *sigh* This is going to be a tough nut to crack...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I agree. I was working on quotes for Mystery Spot last night and ended up just transcribing the whole thing. Now I'm finding it impossible to rank them. This is as bad as A Very SPN Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  29. yep. pretty much. I *think* I know which ones I'm going to nominate as they aren't the usual "quotables". But so many good ones!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I liked both these ep and cried when Dean had Cas wipe Lisa and Ben's memory in Let It Bleed, but went with Born Under A Bad Sign, as Sam was so bad being possessed by Meg. Enjoyed Jo doctoring Dean and Bobby stopping Sam.

And Then There Were None, we lost Rufus(made me sad) and grancreep, better late than never.

Again there is something to love about both of these, but going with Point of No Return, Dean kills Zach and that alone makes it worth voting for. Cas beating up Dean and don't have the quote from Dean, but something like don't piss off the nerd Angel. Need to go back and watch that ep again.

Tall Tales, had some funny trickster moments and I did not like the other one at all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mystery Spot Quotes: To say this episode is quotable is to master the understatement. So much goodness here. I know my #1 is an odd choice but in an episode of laughs, this one made me roar.

    20. Dean & Sam in tandem: "Right, you're a mind reader. Cut it out Sam. Sam. You think you're being funny but you're being really, really childish. Sam Winchester wears make-up. Sam Winchester cries his way through sex. Sam Winchester keeps a ruler by the bed and every morning when he wakes up…OK, ok, enough."19. Dean: "Did it look cool like in the movies?" Sam: "You peed yourself." Dean: " Of course I peed myself. A man gets hit by a car, you think he has full control over his bladder. Come on."18. Owner: "Strange? Strange happens here all the time. It's a mystery spot." 17. Sam: "Ah, it's Wednesday!" Dean: "Yeah which usually comes after Tuesday. Turn that thing off would you." Sam: "What? Are you kidding? This isn't the most beautiful song you've ever heard?"16. Dean: "Alright, I'll pack the car." Sam: "Wait. You're not going anywhere alone." Dean: "It's the parking lot, Sam." Sam: "Just…just trust me." 15. Dean: "Rise and shine Sammy." Sam: "Dude, Asia?" Dean: "Come on you love this song and you know it." Sam: "Yeah and if I ever hear it again, I'm going to kill myself." Dean: "What? I'm sorry I can't hear you."14. Sam: "Hey Doris, what I'd like is for you to log in some more hours at the archery range. You're a terrible shot."13. Sam: "Twice now I've watched you die and I can't. I won't do it again okay. You're just going to have to believe me. Please." Dean: "Alright. I still think you're nuts but okay. Whatever this is we'll figure it out."12. Sam: "I just had a really weird dream." Dean: "Clowns or midgets?"11. Dean: "Everybody's fine. Nobody's going to get hurt here, okay….Sammy, maybe you should drop the axe and let this guy go. What do you say?" 10. Dean: "You mean we can't even go out for breakfast.?" Sam: "You'll thank me when it's Wednesday." Dean: "Whatever that means."9. Sam: " We've killed one of your kind before." Trickster: "Actually bucko, you didn't."8. Dean: "Hey, Tuesday - pig in a poke." Sam: "Do you even know what that is?" 7. Sam: "No, forget about déjà vu. I'm asking you if it feels like…like we're living yesterday all over again." Dean: "OK, how is that not déjà…" 6. Dean: "Hey buddy. Somebody need a friend? Good bo…" 5. Dean: "Look I'm just saying that it's crazy. You know I mean even for us crazy. Dingo ate my baby crazy."4. Trickster: " Let me tell you, whoever said Dean was the dysfunctional one has never seen you with a sharp object in your hands. Whoa ho ho, Full Metal Jacket." 3. Sam: "OK look, yesterday was Tuesday right? But today is Tuesday too." Dean: "Yeah no…good. You're totally balanced." 2. Dean: "Dude, how many Tuesdays did you have?" 1. Dean: "Do these tacos taste funny to you?"

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would never vote for an ep that had Ghostfacers any where near it. lol But am a huge JDM fan and I have such mixed emotions about John as a Dad. Sometimes I thing he did the best he could and he did love the boys and died for Dean, but then I see how he totally screwed up Dean and hate him, but dang I do love that actor. lol

    ReplyDelete
  33. For me, his dying for Dean was tempered by telling Dean he might have to kill Sam right before he died and not giving him any details about why that was. Screw you John.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I hear he's hilarious in Psych but I am so far behind on that show I might never catch up.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bobby stopping Sam is my favorite scene in Born Under a Bad Sign.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Born Under A Bad Sign
    Hell House
    Point Of No Return
    Tall Tales

    ReplyDelete
  37. Rufus shouldn't have died. It was way too soon.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sorry... All I meant was a *joking* pout about having to pause these polls for the Best Show Competition.

Although, I am actually kind of glad I asked...I tend to remain unaware of touchy politics and it never occurred to me that anyone would consider a poll focused on a specific show upsetting to people who don't participate in the forum for that board.

Didn't mean to scare you. It was just a weak joke.

    ReplyDelete
  39. That complexity is one of the reasons that I'm such a fan of the show. It seems rare to me for "Hero stories" to give their non-central characters (i.e. the HERO) such dimension; even when you're talking a series.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I haven't seen a single episode of Psych, but I have it on my Netflix for that day...whenever it is...that I have the time to watch it. So, I look forward to some Kurt Fuller!

    ReplyDelete
  41. :-) I think he is a great character actor. But I'm a fan of letting a character go when their story has naturally ended. His presence in season six felt...like it required a lot of work to make it approach usefulness to that story. It's not the only show that's done it...I'm still dealing with Klaus on Vampire Diaries. Tara is still alive on True Blood...and T-Bag on Prison Break came back so many times my cousin started calling the character Cockroach instead of T-Bag. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  42. BUABS gets it in this pairing.
Sam is usually so gentle, sweet and empathic but when he is in bad boy/rampage mode, he's really dangerous.
Of course it wasn't his fault as he had " like full-on had a girl inside you for like a whole week."

Let It Bleed was okay too though.
I liked the Lovecraft plot but I was sorry to see Visyak go. I thought she was interesting, and as a Purgatory monster could have been an intriguing ally in the future storyline.
I thought the cancelling of Lisa and Ben 's memories a bit stupid, for if monsters wanted to use them against Dean they could do that quite happily just the same, for HE does remember!
    X
I'm torn here as I liked both episodes, but I'll go with ATTWN for this round.
I didn't really like Hell House at the beginning but it grew on me and now I love it; the prank wars were wonderful, but I also like the tense atmosphere in "And Then There were None," and then I like snarky Rufus a lot.
Hell House will probably win, and as previously I gave my vote to BUABS, I'll give it to the season six episode this time.
    X
Point of No Return gets it.
There was just so much going on .
Zachariah was so wonderfully evil, as usual.
Dean was so despondent and ready to surrender at the beginning of the ep. but after due eye-consultation in the green room with a bleeding Sam, he winks, and decides otherwise; and the moment he ganks Zachariah was mythical.
The reason for him being able to do that remains unclear in my mind, for Uriel cleary stated once that only an angel could kill another angel; so did Dean have an angelic characteristic just as Sammy had the demon blood?
We will never know the answer to this mystery! :)

Then the scene with the brothers in the car at the end was super sweet.
Dean changed his mind because he saw Sam looking up at him upset , and just he couldn't let his little brother down. Sigh!

If Salvation had been up against something else it would have got my vote as I love it too.
    X
    Tall Tales.
    No doubts here.
    I'm not a fan of zombies.as a whole.
I think as monsters go they are rather stupid, but the episode wasn't bad. It had its good moments.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think when Uriel said that only an angel can kill an angel he was referring to the angel blades, which only angels possessed/carried up to that point (after, angel blades seemed to be a dime a dozen!). Really, Uriel should have said only angel blades can kill angels. But that's how Dean could kill Zach, because he used an angel blade. Also? I love that moment in the Green Room, when Dean changed his mind about Michael. Good stuff. It's a powerful episode.

I also totally agree with you about zombies, too. Plus real zombies (the brain eating kind) gross me the heck out and I just can't handle it. Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid was rough to watch in that regard, even though there were other really good things in that episode.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes spoilers! I need my spoiler fix! I'm spoiler deprived!

    ;-D

    born under a bad spoiler
and then there were no spoilers
    point of no spoilers
    tall spoilers

the only difficult choice for me was between BUABS and Let it bleed.
Point of no return is one of my favorite episode with badass Cas carving sigil on his chest and beating some sense into Dean (litteraly) :-)
It's a pity children shouldn't play with dead things was opposed to tall tales, loved both but the trickster is such a great character, I voted for tell tales without a second thought

    ReplyDelete
  45. are you kidding? Point of no return is no emo-angst. It's action-packed!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mystery Spot is just so full of great lines that picking two is arduous but I loved the exchange between the Trickster and Sam although there was nothing funny about it.
I just thought the quote was so appropriate to the moment.

Then the second one sums up the whole episode; the repeated Tuesdays and the six terrible months that Sam had to live through before getting Dean back and which Sam has probably never told Dean about.
If Dean could have been witness to those months, he could never have doubted Sam's love and devotion to him, but of course that gets all brushed away in season four.
    X
["Trickster: Whoever said Dean was the dysfunctional one had never seen you with a sharp object in your hands. Holy, Full Metal Jacket."]
    X
[" Dean: "Dude, how many Tuesdays did you have?" "]
    X
    X
Jus In Bello has lots of great quotes too.
The first pick is just a classic, and when Hendriksen says the second, you can actually feel the brothers' horror at the thought of never seeing each other again.
    X
    ["Henriksen: I shot the sheriff.

Dean: But you did not shoot the deputy." ]
    X

["HENRIKSEN: Take a good look at Sam; you two will never see each other again"]

    ReplyDelete
  47. Bwaaaahhhh! "And Then There Were No Spoilers" pretty much sums up this whole sad 2 months. Come on July - Give us something good. It's a long, long time until October.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Are you kidding? The whole episode is about how Dean is so depressed he can barely stand, and Cas is so depressed that Dean is giving up that he wails on Dean while talking about how unhappy he is, and Sam is so depressed but still a bit hopeful that he can inspire his brother to just find his happy place again - the mere mention of Adam is always depressing. Bobby's still depressed that he doesn't have working legs, and I'm depressed that we're still having these freaking conversations in the middle of the lamest Apocalypse that has ever peeked its head out from a sheet before hiding back under the bed. Yes there is action but you can't deny that there is an awful lot of defeat and depression being throw out by the bucket load in this episode right up until Zach bites it. That part rocked!

    ReplyDelete
  49. But I can't remember it ever being stated that it was just the blades, for Uriel distinctly said only an angel can kill another angel, and then I honestly can't believe that a mere human could kill an angel, blade or no blade.
Then when an angel manifests its grace on the show, we are shown that it burns one's eyes out, but Dean stared right at Zachariah's without a whimper.

Also to my mind it would be more than logical for Dean to have some sort of angelic characteristic as he was moulded to be an angelic vessel.

Then in a previous episode Dean was also able to kill the "Whore of Babylon" that only a "true servant of Heaven" could kill; and I also remember Castiel saying that Sam couldn't because he was an abomination and Castiel himself couldn't either, so Dean, in my opinion , basing myslf on the facts of the show, did have some angelic thread in him.
    X
Yes, zombies are not too appealing, but I wasn't too fussy on Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. I found it a bit boring but it did have a great fight scene when Bobby and Dean were shut in the closet. :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. I agree about Adam, I'm still asking myself what the hell the writers were smoking when the sprouted an half-bro out of nowhere.

Cas was angry and disappointed, not depressed. He was not mopping in a corner like a fangirl during hellatus ;-)

And there was angst and depression long before. The whole serie is about the boys "emo-angsting" and sharing their feelings (and the indispensable single manly tear/puppy eye look) near the impala XD

Season two: Dean dealing with daddy dead to save him and sam freaking out cause he is YED choosen one. Season three: Both boys emo-angsting because Dean has a ticket to hell. Season four: Dean emo-angsting about hell and not being righteous enough; Sam embracing his freak side, Season five : sam emo-angting cause he is luci meatsuit and jump-started the apocalypse, etc.

Seriously, I found season seven the most "emo-angsty" of all with Dean mopping over Cas, Bobby and his impala and sam emo-angsting about hallucifer half the season and even cutting (his palm lol!)

#1 - I went with Born Under a Bad Sign because Bobby and Meg (and Jo, but I didn't like her at that point, not yet). Let It Bleed isn't bad, but I'm not a big fan of Dean and Lisa together. I love Lisa as a character, but not as Dean's love interest.
#2 - And Then There Were None because RUFUUUS. <3 That's all. And from the Ghostfacers-related episodes, Hell House isn't my favourite one.
#3 - Point of No Return, the easiest pick this time. It has everything I love: angel mythos, lots of Cas being badass, boyfriend jokes, Adam, Zachariah being a dick, Dean who's breaking, supporting Sam, awesome Bobby... And yeah, Dean and Cas being great together. What can I say, I'm easy.
#4 - Tall Tales isn't even in any competition. It's the first Trickster episode with one of the greatest forms of narration Spn has ever done: the Totally Reliable Narrator. And Gabriel. This episode made me fall in love with his character. It's one of the best episodes Spn has.

  52. Oh I don't think it was ever stated on the show about the blades, that's just my interpretation. It makes sense to me, since not only has Dean used the angel blade to kill an angel, but Meg uses one in season 6 (though it was to kill hell hounds...), and I feel like there's another time when someone not an angel and not Dean uses one, too (but it's late and I'm not recalling specifics). I agree, it would be logical for Dean to have some additional mojo since he was a vessel (and a servant of heaven per 99 Problems - which is the episode just prior to Zach's demise, so maybe there's something to that). It was never explained one way or another, so I took it upon myself to make my own theory. :)

Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid? Grossed me out when the kid was eating the dad's intestines, and when that nasty old lady goobered white stuff on Sam. Ugh. In fact it's making me sick just thinking about it. lol.

  54. numer0six -- I can tell you exactly what the writers were smoking when they came up with Adam. It was, as far as I was able to figure, the ONLY way they could get out of season 5 without killing both Sam and Dean. They had themselves in a position where Dean was going to let Michael in, one way or another. Adam was their way out.

Plus, from a realistic point of view (lol, what am I saying) it's not surprising or unusual that they have a half-brother. I mean, the Winchesters have a tendency not to stay anywhere long and to sleep with women when they can. At least we know that Dean does and, most likely, John did too. Statistically it's possible that one of them has a kid out there. I mean, no one batted an eyelash when we thought that Ben is Dean's kid and what differes Ben from Adam? Adam as a character is perfectloy reasonable. It's JOHN whom I don't get in this scenario.

  58. Of course, but it never felt right for me.

  59. you're so right about the Ben and Lisa memory wiping. It was stupid and gross. I could maybe have understood it for Ben, but Dean should have had Lisa keep her memory, or at least, he should have asked her what she wanted.
    Didn't like that at all.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well, today we have two fan favorites that I don't like, so I'm going to ry to explain myself. One is BUABS, every single time I'm newly amazed by the love it gets from the fans. thies episode was a great disappointment for me, I was liking the plot of Sam being bad and not remembering and then it was just not real, it was all Meg's trick to play with Dean (and us). From that point on I just hate it. I especially hate the scene with Jo, I like both Jo and Sam and don't enjoy the situation at all, the famous line in there just irks me. Then I kind of appreciate the parallells with Devil's trap (would you kill a demon by killing a family member that is possessed?), but the stakes are far less appealing this time. Then I do like Let It Bleed, I love Lisa and Ben and am very sad they are probably never coming back again. So my vote is quite clear. My other greatly disliked episode is Tall Tales: I just don't get it, it was the third SPN episode I ever watched and by then I kind of decided this show was just stupid, so it took me a few months to get to try to watch the show again and enjoy it. As the episode is such a fan favorite I've tried to see the point, but after a few rewatches I still dislike the trickster (I only like him a bit in Mystery Spot), and I still hate the cases they find (the professor killed by a girl, the alien, the aligator...) A couple interactions between the brothers and with Bobby do improve the episode a little bit, but I have seen myself forced to vote for 2.4, even if it's a meh episode for me. I have also voted for Hell House and Salvation, two interesting episodes from season 1, that I enjoy very much (I find 1.17 just genius and greatly enjoy the reenactment of the original family tragedy in 1.21) but I don't mind 5.18 winning, it's one of my favorite season 5 episodes.

And Sam asking "what happened?" Cas:"Me!" :-D

  62. "Henriksen: I shot the sheriff.

Dean: But you did not shoot the deputy."

that quote! And the bitchface of Sam XD

  63. Let It Bleed - I liked Born Under a Bad Sign as well, but I think Let It Bleed is one of the show's most unappreciated episodes.Probably because most people didn't like the whole thing with Lisa.I did like it and I think the episode was great. It had Lisa possessed, awesome Crowley scenes and heartbreaking moments between Dean and Ben,as well as Dean and Cas.
    And a cool ending.

And Then There Were None - My problem with Hell House is what came after it.It was a good episode, the prank war was awesome and it has one of my favorite lines ever(Sweet Lord of the Rings),and if the writers had left it at that, and we hadn't seen the Ghostfacers again I would be very happy. The was no point in bringing them back.
Anyway,ATTWN was the first episode after a long time where a death(Gwen) caught me by surprise.Add Rufus and Samuel's death and the whole thing became even better.

Point of No Return - It's the 100th episode,it deserves the vote.It also happens to be in my Top 10.It had action, great moments between all the characters and Zachariah's death!Kudos to Kurt Fuller by the way,the man's ability to repeatedly portray nasty, creepy characters is impressive.

Tall Tales - Richard Speight vs the guy who brought back a dead girl because he wanted a girlfriend...How will I ever choose?!

    Quotes

    Mystery Spot:
    - Dean: "Everybody's fine.Nobody's going to get hurt here, okay….Sammy, maybe you should drop the axe and let this guy go.What do you say?"

    - Dean: "Do these tacos taste funny to you?"

    Jus In Bello:
    - Ruby: "Does anyone have a breath mint? Some guts splattered in my mouth while I was killing my way in here."

    - Sam: "So,what are you going to tell them?"
Henriksen: "The least ridiculous lie I can come up with in the next five minutes."
    Dean: "Good luck with that."

Okay, now we can all prepare to win the Best Show Competition!I expect it to be much harder this year, but if anyone can do it...Three years in a row would be pretty cool, wouldn't it?Good luck!

  64. Jus in Bello Quotes: Oh how the writer's strike screwed us over. This is the episode when my dislike of Ruby turned to hate and I became convinced Azazel was telling the truth about Sam not coming back 100% himself.

    20. Sam: "Okay, so what's the plan?" Dean: "Open the doors. Let them all in and we fight."19. Dean: "Lilith." Ruby: "And she really, really wants Sam's intestines on a stick. Guess she sees him as competition."18. Nancy: "So this spell…what can I do?" Ruby: "You can hold still while I cut your heart out of your chest." 17. Ruby: "You going to let me out? And they say chivalry's dead. Does anyone have a breath mint? Some guts splattered in my mouth while I was killing my way in here." 16. Lilith: "Excuse me, I'm looking for two boys. They're brothers. One's really tall and one's really cute." Nancy: "What's your name sweetie?" Lilith: "Lilith."15. Sam: "How's the shoulder?" Dean: "It's awesome. I'll live. You know if we get out of here alive." 14. Dean: "Heh, heh, nobody's a virgin. No. No way. You're kidding me ri…you're…" Nancy: "What? It's choice okay." Dean: "What? So you…you never…not even once. I mean not even…wow!"13. Henriksen: "The most dangerous criminals you've ever laid your eyeballs on. Think Hannibal Lector and his halfwit little brother. Do you know what these guys do for kicks? Dig up graves and mutilate corpses. They're not just killers Sheriff. They're Satan-worshipping nutbag killers, so work with me here."12. Dean: "I've got a plan. I'm not saying it's a good one. I'm not even saying that it will work, but it sure as hell beats killing a virgin." 11. Henriksen: "You know what my job is?" Dean: "You mean besides locking up the good guys? I have no idea."10. Dean: "That doesn't mean that we throw away the rule book and stop acting like humans. I'm not going to let that demon kill some nice sweet innocent girl who hasn't even been laid. I mean look, if that's how you win wars then I don't want to win." 9. Dean: "FYI - ghosts are real too. So are werewolves, vampires, changelings, evil clowns that eat people." Henriksen: "OK then." Dean: "If it makes you feel better, Bigfoot's a hoax." Henriksen: "It doesn't." 8. Henriksen: " What's out there? Can you guys beat it? Can you win?" Dean: "Honestly, I think the world's going to end bloody, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't fight. We do have choices. I choose to go down swinging." 7. Dean: "Why all the sourpusses?" 6. Henriksen: "Well guess what? Life sucks. Get a helmet. Because everybody's got a sob story but not everybody becomes a killer." 5. Sam: "Everybody okay?" Henriksen: "Define okay." 4. Nancy: "When this is over, I'm going to have so much sex…but not with you."3. Henriksen: "Fighting off monsters with condiments."2. Henriksen: "I uh I shot the sheriff." Dean: "But you didn't shoot the deputy."1. Dean: "It's kind of wild right. I mean it's like they're coming right for us. Never done that before. It's like we've got a contract on us. Think it's because we're so awesome. I think it's cause we're so awesome."

  70. Oh I agree every season has its angst. Wouldn't be Supernatural without it. I'm just saying that they talked a lot about their angst in this episode hence the emoangsty label. This episode depressed me up to Zach's death. In fact there are only about a dozen or so episodes that depressed me more. The episode a couple before it, Dark Side of the Moon was one of them. Actually almost every freaking one can be found in seasons 4 and 5.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I could go with bad planning as the answer but then why in Hades did they make Adam dead in season 4. I think they introduced him to mess with the fandom and then found him handy to resurrect later when they had backed themselves into a corner. Now he's that gnat buzzing in the corner of your peripheral vision. He may not be right in front of me but his mere presence is irksome.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Realistically you are right but there is a huge difference between Ben and Adam thematically. Ben is a kid. Adam is a brother. The entire premise of the show is based on the closeness of the brother relationship. To stick in another brother wily nily and for absolutely NO point at the time was asinine. His only function was to yet again remind us that the brothers were different but since the entire freaking season was dedicated to beating us over the head with that it was just a wasted episode.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I'm hoping he is the big bad for the rest of the seasons giving him a place in the story without feeling forced and giving me more Crowley time.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I'm sad that Visyak died too. I thought her story was interesting. However I 'm good with the Lisa/Ben memory wipe because it means that there's a chance they come back again. After all, Death who is far more powerful than angels, couldn't wipe Sam's memories away. He could only block them for awhile.

I fear the Dean as part angel plot will forever remain unanswered in the same fiery purgatory SPN questions go to die. It joins what was wrong with Sam from season 3 and why did Dean's eyes bleed in season 1.

    ReplyDelete
  75. agreed. sometimes dean can be so selfish. he doesnt like the angels screwing around with his mind, and now he does exactly that to lisa and ben. like COME ON!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Meg killed Hester with an angel blade in Reading is Fundamental so whatever they meant before, anyone can kill angels now.

    ReplyDelete
  77. "Dude how many Tuesdays did you have?" was perfect for me. A touch of humor in the big aawwww moment. Both of these episodes are so phenomenal it's hard to pick.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I like the format of Tall Tales too. I remember them employing it in the X-Files to the same awesome results. It's just fun to see how each character views what happened.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Born Under a Bad Sign - a 50/50 case, so i chose an old classic;
    And Then There Were None - loved the pranks, but this ep is stronger in my opinion and also had Rufus, although it is a shame that they killed him off;
    Point of No Return - the epic death of Zach;
Tall Tales - the whole episode is just good fun.

    ReplyDelete
  80. However you do agree that the angel thing was was badly explained and just left hanging? That annoys me because I like to see things explained logically.

    As for Dean's eyes bleeding, maybe there's still something hidden away about Dean that we don't know;
it's even possible that as we are still on the religious theme with Purgatory, that Dean's angelic mojo could come back into play. Who knows! Even Sam's for that matter although I sincerely hope not.
But we do still have Castiel flying around so angels are still in the picture!

As for Lisa and Ben, I don't realistically see them coming back unless we get a future episode or an alternate universe episode, with the Winchesters married and with kids!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I agree, I think it was very unfair for Dean to get Castiel to violate their minds like that.
Even Sam was against what Dean had done.
If Dean thought that a memory wipe was the best answer then he should have asked Lisa first if she was willing.
Then if she said yes, then fair enough!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I feel the same. He should at least have asked permission for it was very unethical.
Our memories make us what we are and I would certainly hate for any of mine to be wiped, even the bad ones.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yes I think it is badly explained. It joins a good many other questions that got dropped. I once read an article about dropped plot points and unanswered questions that focused solely on Dean. It boggled my mind although many of them didn't seem to be all that relevant to the story.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Well, even if that's the case now; making everything easy to kill takes away the tension.
The fact that angels can be killed at all makes me wonder, but if every Tom, Dick and Harry can now do it, that sort of makes it all null!
Human or angel, seems we're all on the same level? Muh.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I was getting the feeling that I'm the only one here that doesn't like the trickster. From the beginning, I can't stand the caracter at all. I don't find him funny, I just find him terribly annoying. I did like the storytelling in Tall Tales from Sam and Dean's POV, and that's why I gave the episode my vote anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I still hope for a return of Lisa and Ben. It could be the last episode of the show for all I care. I just want to see some hope for the Winchesters and something for them to hang on to.

    ReplyDelete
  87. "Richard Speight vs the guy who brought back a dead girl because he wanted a girlfriend...How will I ever choose?!"

Bwah!! The firs thing I though of was: Dean:
"Your girlfriend's past her expiration date and we're crazy." This quote nomination thing is coming in handy

There are so many people gunning for Supernatural to topple this year and there is such a wide variety of shows that can win. If SPN is going to take the hat trick we'll have to be very organized and people are going to have to spread the word quickly and constantly. I think this year will be the toughest of them all.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yeah, that was part of the hate you John, for me.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I will never listen to Heat of the Moment again without thinking of Mystery Spot.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Rufus is at the top of my "killed off too soon" list. Such a shame he became drama fodder.

    ReplyDelete
  91. If we had first met the Trickster in Mystery Spot, I wouldn't have liked him near as much, but in Tall Tales I found him to have style like the brothers said.

    ReplyDelete
  92. It was such an awful beating, but had to laugh at these quotes, classic is right. lol

    ReplyDelete
  93. hell house - simply because it is a classic sam and dean funny episode

    ReplyDelete
  94. The first one almost ripped me apart. I love both episodes but Born Under a Bad Sign is classic. Jared's acting as Meg within him was incredible. The story was superb. We learned what happened to Jo when she left home. She still has a major thing for Dean.
Both are fabulous stories. I voted And Then There Were None because of the loss of Rufus.
I love both episodes and Salvation is going to lose, so I gave it a mercy vote.
    Tall Tales by all means.

    Mystery Spot Quotes:

Sam and Dean: Right, you're a mind reader. Cut it out, Sam. Sam. You think you're funny but you're being really, really childish. Sam Winchester wears make-up. Sam Winchester cries his way through sex. Sam Winchester keeps a ruler by the bed and every morning when he wakes up... okay, enough!

Dean: These tacos taste funny to you?

    Jus in Bello Quotes:

    Henricksen: I shot the sheriff.
Dean: But you didn't shoot the deputy.

Dean: Honestly, I think the world's going to end bloody. But it doesn't mean we shouldn't fight. We do have choices. I choose to go down swingin'.

  95. Can we vote in the Best TV series Poll more than once?

    ReplyDelete
  96. It is one vote per IP address, so if you have two voters in your house make sure you get to the computer first or someone else has to vote from work. I'm not sure how the polls were ranked but it probably is by number of nominations like I do. Game of Thrones most likely had the most nominations. The Big Bang Theory would have had far less as it isn't as popular on SpoilerTV. I would say it was bad luck of the draw.

    ReplyDelete
  97. No, you can only vote once :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. I am wondering how Supernatural had won the contest last two times, with this rule? Is this a new rule put up this year?

    ReplyDelete
  99. No it has always been 1 vote per IP address. It's what makes the contest more interesting because you have to get other websites to get their readers to vote too. It can be a fun way to connect to other fans and get them to the site. The Best Show contest 2 years ago is what brought me to SpoilerTV and I've never looked back.

    ReplyDelete
  100. It did make me laugh in between two intensely family-focused show episodes. It's also the episode in which I minded the Ghostfacers the least. Love the Buffy and Lord of the Rings quotes.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Glad to hear that Supernatural had won the past two polls in spite of this rule. Usually Supernatural is a fandom of few fans and enormous love and loyalty as compared to many other shows on internet.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Supernatural has a relatively high internet fan base with relatively low Nielsen numbers. That happens a lot with genre shows. The plus for SPN in contests like these is that it has been around for a long time but still has a good number of people passionately talking about it daily. Therefore it is easier to organize and connect with people quickly. Many shows with high Nielsen numbers either do not have a large internet fan base or their fan base only checks in when new episodes are out. Having the contest in the summer and having each poll only last 24 hours makes it harder for those shows to win the round.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm excited that "Do these tacos taste funny to you?" is getting so much nomination love. In an episode full of quips, I thought it would be overshadowed for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  104. All our polls are once only polls. Makes the results a lot fairer than those sites who allow multiple votes.

Those polls are one by whoever has the best poll voting bot running on their computers :)

    ReplyDelete
  105. And they've got a ton of fans on Twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  106. So Dahne, I finally got Dark Angel in the mail today. I have Season 1 and am still waiting for Season 2 to arrive. So am watching the episode about Ben today. XD

    ReplyDelete
  107. And they've got a ton of fans on Twitter. This is why it would be cool to have a monthly 30 minute webisode during the summer months to build on the backstory or a bridge between the two seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Even if they didn't do a bridge since it seems like the season will likely pick up close to when season 7 left off and plus Jensen and Jared definitely need a break, it would be awesome to take some of the minor characters in Supernatural and answer some questions about them. Kind of like they did with Ghostfacers for awhile. In all honesty, I most want to know what happened in Omaha between Rufus and Bobby so if they did a monthly Grumpy Old Hunters webisode I would be ecstatic.

    ReplyDelete
  109. So cool. Now that the Best Show contest is starting I have a little more time so I'm marathoning it once I get back from vacation. I'll have to ask Andy if it's possible to do an article on a TV show that has been dead so many years. I would love to discuss it with you all.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I hope someone can sneak a camera in and film the clip they usually show.

Oh yeah, I am suffering without any spoilers. lol

    ReplyDelete
  111. My Aunt's gone through that place more than once on vacation; you have a good chance of not getting lost forever. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  112. People just get upset at any little thing sometimes. Guess they don't like SPN being the popular one.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I just wanted to thank Dahne for the time she has put into this poll and wish her happy holidays.
I have to say that I'll miss my morning "rant" about SNP but I'm sure there will plenty of opportunities in the future. :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. I always hate people coming back from Dead on this show. Death should have some value. Believe it or not, I really didn't like when Dean came back from Hell and couldn't really digest the fact that he came back from dead, for many days. I actually didn't enjoy the few initial episodes of season 4 much, because, besides the reason he was brought back being silly also had ruined the entire spirit of season 2 and season 3. I even stopped watching the show for sometime. Then it so happened that I came to know on internet that there was this writer's strike, which was the main reason why the character of Dean was killed. Even now I consider he was never dead, I made up mind, he was saved by Sam by killing Lilith using his demonic powers. Alternate universe.
But, I am happy if they come back like Ellen and Jo as a one-episode appearance or as a guest star like in My Heart Will Go On.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Thanks for the kind words and thanks for participating each day. We will do some SPN stuff when I get back. I'm seriously behind on recaps if nothing else.

    ReplyDelete
  116. In the previouslies of almost every episode in season 3, it mentions Azazel's comment about Sam coming back wrong. That question is poked at and nudged from AHBL2 on, making it the Sam counterpoint to Dean's what to do with one year left story line. For me it all came to a head in Jus in Bello when Sam is okay with killing Nancy to save everyone else. That's not Sam. I think if the writers' strike hadn't killed it, this new Sam with his shades of RoboSam would have come into play for the remainder of the season and would have been the catalyst for Dean getting out of the hell deal. Instead since 4 episodes wouldn't be enough time to bring that mystery to a climax, we get angels and a blood addiction. In all the shows the writers' strike hurt, I think it did the most damage to Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  117. When Dean killed the 'whore' he had already decided to say Yes to Michael therefore making him a 'true servant of heaven' he ran off not 5 minutes later to say goodbye to his loved ones and go say Yes. Therefore easily explained, no plots dropped.

When Dean kills Zach he has already said Yes to Michael under the condition that Zach is toast, Michael allows Dean to kill him and probably the ability to do it without having to shield his eyes. Michael is already on his way as Dean buries the angel killing sword in Zach, my guess is he would have needed a more definitive answer from Dean or that he simply just got there too late. Dean had already left the building.

Dean's bleeding eyes in Bloody Mary can also easily be explained, Sam and Dean's eyes both started to bleed when they looked at the true form of Mary much like how her won eyes began to bleed when she saw her won reflection. Kripke probably through the possibility of it being more out there incase they decided to pursue a storyline further down the line, doesnt mean they had plans to ever do one.

Alot of these things are not really dropped plots more just writers teasing or not really bothering to tie up loose ends.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I agree about the dropped plot line for season 3 and the constant mention of Sam having come back 'wrong'. They seemed to be creating doubt in Dean's mind about Sam, already trying to separate them. Have Dean already starting to not trust Sam and Sam already seeing it and turning to Ruby. JIB is an excellent episode in how Ruby uses Dean's deal with Lilith to manipulate Sam into doing something he wouldn't ever even think of doing, to me it seemed like she was testing how far he would be willing to go for and maybe even how for Dean. Sam only wanted to sacrifice the virgin to stop Lilith when he knew she was coming and that the spell would wipe out all demons for miles. It was all to see how desperate Sam was and how far he would go in his desperation. Dean had to be the voice of reason in the episode to balance the episode so they weren't seen to be willing to sacrifice an innocent fo any reason.

Its a great build up to season 4, you can see the shift in direction the writers take after the writers strike all to get us to believe that Sam would be willing to do what he does in season 4 and for us to understand why Dean would not be entirely trusting of Sam right of the bat in season 4.

I honestly would have loved to have seen the original plot play out.

  119. I have to say that your explanations are fairly logical and satisfy me well enough. :)
I just wish that the writers would tie up their loose ends, as things that are left hanging annoy me, especially in such a show as SPN where you already have to suspend your disbelief.

  120. That is my preferred explanation to Dean's bleeding eyes also. Although either way works for me.

  121. Now I am not only having withdrawal from the series until Oct, but also from these great polls. There is not enough to do on Favorite TV Series, so have finished Dark Angel, Fast Five, In Time and going to start SPN season one....AGAIN. lol Can y'all tell I am BORED.

  122. Ha! To be honest, I'm having poll withdrawal too. I'm marching on with my quote hunt - starting season 4 today - but I'm missing the great SPN conversation.

hello i know you are busy collecting all season 4 quotes but i need help i want to create a fan video made contest for the opening show name for supernatural season 8 the rules are simple had to keep his original purpose color background and letters in season 7 was white background and letters in bloody black like spoiler did with the banners will be fun COMMON LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN

    ReplyDelete
  124. Nelly I'm not sure how I can help. I know nothing about making a fanvid or even a banner. Sorry. The best place to do the contest would probably be YouTube if you have a YouTube account and an e-mail where people can send you their videos. If you wanted people to vote on their favorite, I can create the poll for you and I can tweet the info around. Other than that, this is out of my league. There may be others here who can do more. Most of the SPN fans I know do art not video.

...HOW I can create a PAGE to make that happen I am not computer geek I know you had a lot of friends with more computer experience some will took my idea for me will be ok and made that move like when fans make videos using scenes for the series and put music I think all opening tittle series of supernatural are computer created I like the blue crystal letter breaking it was so different will be very cool if we put this thing in motion and some c.w employee see the fan work and used in season 8 may be never happen BUT DREAMS MAY BE COME TRUE.

  129. The best way for you to make this happen in my opinion is for you to create a blog. Blogger is very easy to use and I can help if you have questions. You will need a Google account but that is very easy to create if you have an e-mail address. Just go to http://www.blogger.com and get started. The program will help you create the blog and first post. Make sure you send me the link and if you get stuck let me know. Blogger was one if the first things I learned to use when I wasn't very comfortable with technology. You could also use Tumblr or Word Press but I don't know much about them.

..I found the page but they tell me I had to create a title and address to my blog may be HIGH TECH.SPN .and the address is my email explain I am new bee in this mater

    ReplyDelete
  131. You can title your blog whatever you want. Mine is titled with the TV shows I watch. Once you give it a title you can make your first post which will be your video idea.

  133. You can make the address whatever you want. Mine is dahne1.blogspot.com. Why don"t you type in supernaturalNelly in the space or NellySPN? It can be whatever you wish.

  134. Sounds like the only reason you got upset over people coming back from the dead is because Sam wasn't the one who saved Dean.

If it's really people coming back from the dead that bothers you why didn't Sam's deaths and multiple other characters not bother you?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Yeah in Hell House the Ghostfacers weren't so bad. They were funny.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Ha, I've been very busy, but I miss it too. It was nice to get away for a few moments online and talk about epis especially since my friends haven't been chatty lately. Everyone I know is busy lately.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Yeah the writers tend to leave things they consider unimportant out there.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I read a book that has nothing to do with SPN but had angels in it and they explained that the weapon in the book that could kill angels was made by one during the fall of Lucifer/other angels and a lot of the angels carried it on them.

Point is, on SPN I figure it's similar and the only difference is now that there was a Civil War in Heaven many angels died and the swords got in the hands of other creatures/people.
Angels can die in most movies/books I've read -whether the angels are good or bad. It adds tension knowing they can be killed and/or it allows for getting rid of unwanted angels.

And yes, anyone can kill them with a sword, but they have to surprise them. My problem wouldn't be with the weapon being easy to use, it would be how easily people can sometimes get close enough to kill them on the show.

  139. I am almost thru with s1 again, the other poll is just to slow, needs to have more than 2 polls a day.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Saw Abe Lincoln vampire hunter yesterday and it was not anything like I thought it would be. Enjoyed it a lot, even had a lot of history in it and my favorite actor from Breakout Kings which was a nice surprise.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Maybe the character cup will have 4 polls a day.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Maybe I am bored because it is NOT about SPN. lol

    ReplyDelete
  143. No, not at all. Sam always payed a heavy price for coming back from Dead, like Dean's soul. John sold his life for saving his son. When Dean just walked back in Season 4, I found the reasons to be silly and baseless. I am without doubt, a Castiel hater, but I didn't hate him in Season 4 as much as other seasons and my above comment has got nothing to do with Castiel hatred. Addition of Castiel in season 4 actually helped the myth-arc of the season.

multiple other characters not bother you
Yes, of course, their half-brother's return is one of the things I hate the most, but he is rotting in the Lucifer's cage, probably being tortured in the ways you and I can't imagine.

If a character comes to life in an alternate universe or as a spirit, why should it bother me? In the real universe and orginality, they are dead and that is what I care about.

  144. C PThanks for your info. :)

I just can't seem to get my mind around supposedly terribly powerful Heavenly beings like angels being able to be killed by humans, even ones wielding the angel blade.

Just the very idea of angels dying at all confounds me. They have no soul, so therefore, just what sort of beings are they in the end?

However, I'm curious to know if any other human other than Dean has ever killed an angel with an angel blade on the show, for someone told me that only Dean, and now Meg are the only non-angels to have killed one.

  145. Just wait.  Supernatural is coming up soon.  You guys are going to have to spread the word for me.  I will be without internet access that day.
