Great ending to the season. The Jamie stuff felt anti-climatic, and I was NOT expecting her aunt to have been the one to put the car in the water and kill Rosie.
Hoping there's going to be a next season, Linden and Holder are one of the best on-screen detective duos we've got on screen. Be nice to see more of them.
Great season, awesome finale. I love the resolution. Jaime is cold blood killer (all because the election), now Terry, I mean WTF? I don't expect that, she make terrible decision in her life and Rosie pay the count. I really like the Rosie's scene very cute and emotional. Can't wait for season 3 and see Linden and Holder back to another case.
First time in awhile I have given an "awesome" rating to anything.
Even though I knew the outcome before I watched it (just couldnt help reading what people said) it was still an amazing journey to watch & the outcome was no less heartbreaking. FWIW I pisted a blog yesterday afternoon w/ my "top 3" list for who I thought did it... Terry was my #1 (disregard the fact I changed my mind about 5Xs will writing it out yesterday before I finally posted it)
The body that was reported at the end is probably the next case since Roise's case is all wrapped up, when will we know if we will see this case? AKA, Season 3?
Jaw-dropping conclusion. Jamie was such a devoted assistant, but that was the point. He was so loyal he went out of his way to do something stupid because he believed his boss couldn't do it on his own. Funny how it turned out the "Ted Wright" Darren was always quoting turned out to be Jamie's grandfather. Never made the connection to the name. I like the way Linden and Holder could remain effective partners and good friends without ever going to bed together. Well, we'll see what happens next season, if there is one.
Awesome. Simply perfect. I must admit that the whole resolution was just great, I kinda expected aunt Terry to be involved but it was awesome to find that out. And, again, I admit, I cried watching Rosie's videotape. Really, an awesome finale. I really hope we'll get a season three (even if it's unrelated to Rosie's case), but in any case this is a perfect series finale. Loved it. *still crying*
Since no one's going to comment on the music in this episode, I guess I'll have too! The music in the final reveal flashback scene was SUBLIME fit really well with the tone of the episode.
Fantastic directing as well, the way the last scene was shot, quite possibly the best scene of the entire series!
I felt the finale was a bit flat. I am not sure why, after all I never suspected Terry... but how the killing went down and the fact that really although Terry did the final deed that Jamie was pretty much responsible for the whole situation was revealed too soon.
I had sworn not to watch it, but ended up watching it anyway mostly because there is not that many good shows to watch. :D The ending was really, really intense... I did not, for the life of me, expect it... Not that Jamie could have done it, not that Terry could have done it...I mean, it's hard enough to give one blow to the audience, but two... They made me not anticipate the climax, and that does not happened to me often. I loved the contrasting reactions that Stan and Mitch gave to the final revelation because I was left with a bit of both after watching that scene... There are, however, a couple of questions... First of all, that e-mail thing at the end of season 1 that got Linden convinced that it was Richmond... What was all that about? They name a damned episode after it ("Orpheus Descending") and they never resolve that at all... Second question, is there going to be a third season? The final moments of the finale looked like a pretty good series ender to me and I know that the series that this is a remake of, lasted for 2 seasons as well... I would love to see another season and another case... Richmond, Linden, Holder are 3 characters that deserve further exploration...
So does anyone know if the show has been renewed or if it was a series finale or what? They never advertised it as a 2 season show, but should we assume it because the original show lasted for 2 seasons? I would love to see another case unwrapped episode by episode instead of case-of-the-week stuff, I am tired of those.. I just hope if the show gets another season, they tell the audience straight what to expect because that disparity between writing and marketing is what put them in that position after season 1...
Just watched the finale. What a superb ending to the Rosie Larssen case. I really want to see Linden and Holder back for more, but I also kind of want Linden to finally bugger off and spend some time with her son.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Great episode, a perfect season ending, loved it. I hope Linden will be back

ReplyDeleteArrgh! I want to know whodunnit, but I'm only on ep 7 (watching in UK). It's going to be hard to go the next 6-7 weeks without finding out. Aaaargh!

No decision has yet been made about the shows future.
