Do you really think that people want to see Michael Scott again? I think the people who say they want to see Michael Scott reappear would be ultimately slightly disappointed. I think you always wish for something that you don't sincerely want to come true. And I think in a way it's better to imagine where Michael and Holly are at this point than actually see it.
I do think that kissing an ex is never as good as you think it's going to be.
That's a good way to put it. It's like, once you graduate from college, you don't want to be that guy two years out who's sleeping on the dorm floor.

I miss Michael so much. This past season wasn't the same without Steve. TBH, I'm pretty much only watching for Jim and Pam now, and I'm not even sure if they're enough to get me through the whole season.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but if he really thinks that there isn't one fan of the show who doesn't want to see Michael again he is delusional. The show can't end without a reeapperance.
ReplyDeleteI think that a Micheal reappearance would make sense in the series finale whenever that might be. As much as I love Steve and the Micheal character, I think that the show needs to try to develop on it's own and there were a few good eps in this past very uneven season, and with the changes in the cast line up they have a chance to create a new identity. I guess we'll see. The main reason that kept me watching the show this past season was the Jim/Dwight relationship/competition, I know that there are rumors of a Dwight spinoff, which I think would kill the show chemistry completely for me.
ReplyDeleteGood call, his final episode was perfect some of the best stuff the show has down and really made me love Michael again after a few seasons of disliking him.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I miss him, I think it's good that there aren't any plans for a return. He had an amazing exit, and I think it might make things WORSE for the show when it highlights how down things have been since he left. Still, I wouldn't rule out an appearance in the SERIES finale. We'll see.
