Hey All,As you've probably noticed we now have a new Menu System here at SpoilerTV. We've done this for a number of reasons.
- To improve loading time
- To improve mobile support
- To make a clear and more structured menu
- To allow us to add more functionality
- To maximise the space to allow more room for articles.
Some important changes
The Main Home menu now has a number of key articles, links and is where you log into Badgeville.
Cable Show Structure
The Cable Shows are now organised into 2 menus,sorted alphabetically by Cable Station name.
Help and Search
We've improved the Help and Search Layout and also incorporated the Search Box into the Help Menu.
We hope you like the new menu and find it useful.
If you find any problems with the new menu or come across any broken links, spelling mistakes etc please let us know in the comments below. And feel free to comment if you have any suggestions.

ReplyDeleteWorks well on IE, Firefox, and Chrome for me. Loads quickly too. I like the streamlined approach. Only thing I see is that the boxes on the right (popular Posts and Recent Comments) have much smaller print all of a sudden. They are kind of hard to read that small for me.

ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic. It's one hell of an improvement. The old menu was always obscured by my Badgeville status bar. I like it much more now that it's part of the home menu drop-down.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! Nothing more to say! :D By the way, on the mobile, you can't hover over any items to see a dropdown menu, so I'm not sure that it really works that well when viewing on phones?

ReplyDeleteI really like the new layout!! Everything seems to be great... the only thing that doesn't seem to work is that the new search box in the Help Menu doesn't appear on Firefox... I tried it on Chrome and it's working but on Firefox the last thing that appears is:

Ha, no. You need to click on the menu header eg Home ABC etc etc. It will then show the popup menu.

This is great! Also, I don't know if it's because of the menu redesign or what, but I notice spoilertv loads a LOT faster for me than it use to. So, keep doing what you're doing guys!

ReplyDeleteThe themes no longer work as this designed is so very different that they won't work. Maybe if I get time in the future we can look at doing other themes for this new design.

ReplyDelete..where I cant find it I look the features area is not there if we had to click bottom to find this please keep the old one and now you click home and the page don’t return to previews sites change in comment area ok but all the sites...mmmm

Looks really good. I have one question and one request.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Is the menu supposed to be wrapped around? Features appears below the bright blue menu bar. Is this normal? I didn't realize it was part of the menu initially.
Request: I would love to see some indication that I'm logged in returned tot he menu bar (or somewhere at the top of the page.) Being able to glance up and see that I was still logged in was massively useful.
I've had too many problem's using Chrome so I only use Firefox now. Does that mean your not going to add other color themes?

ReplyDeleteAs stated in a previous comments, themes are no longer supported due to the changes.
ReplyDeleteIf you use Google Chrome you can use an extension called Stlyebot to make your own changes to colour etc so that you can personalise it how you want :)
