NCIS - Season 10 - Brian Dietzen promoted to series regular
19 Jun 2012
NCIS
EW has learned exclusively that Brian Dietzen has been promoted to series regular on the show, which is going into its 10th season. He was formerly appearing on a recurring basis as the right-hand man to medical examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum). “I’m very excited,” Dietzen tells EW. “After eight years of being with the show, I got a contract with CBS, and I couldn’t be happier about it.”

Fucking finally! (Yup, that's pretty much it. I'm happy.)
ReplyDeleteIt's about Goddamn Time! (Forgive my curse)
ReplyDeleteIT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!! He already feels like a regular as it is. So happy about this!
ReplyDeleteI don't even watch the show anymore, but felt the need to say 'about damn time' after 8 freaking years.
ReplyDeleteFinally!!!!! I can't believe it took them this long, what 7 years now he has been on,no 8 years.Bout damn time!
ReplyDeleteFinally!! :) But I wonder if that means Michael, Sean, or Pauley isn't coming back.
ReplyDeleteFINALLY! So happy for him!
ReplyDeleteAbout bloody time, 8 years is a long time to just be recurring, this has been long overdue
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, about fucking time :)
ReplyDeleteMy thought, is that when/if "Ducky" retires, Palmer will take over as the Medical Examiner on the show. David McCallum is no "spring chicken" by any means, but I still hope he stays with the show for as long as he can (or as long as the show remains on the air, whichever comes first).
Are there any of the main actors who still haven't signed contracts for the new season? I'd assume they should be knee-deep in shooting the new season by now.
Pauley, Michael, and Sean still have to re-sign, but Gary Glasberg is confident they will.
ReplyDeleteAbout time, he deserves it!!!
ReplyDeleteThe writers went back to work earlier this month but the cast doesn't start shooting until sometime in July, I believe. (I could be wrong. I'm basing this on other CBS shows)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the information :)
ReplyDeleteSeason 10, really can't come fast enough. Hoping it makes it to atleast 11, to break the record of it's predecessor (JAG).
I love JAG, but I definitely think NCIS will get a season eleven.
ReplyDeleteAbout damn time!
ReplyDeleteTook them long enough!
ReplyDeleteWell deserved! *applauds*
Well this is a good thing for the show as he is a quality actor, and has a great character, and his run-ins with Gibbs are hilarious, so hopefully we'll see more of them. Although this might mean a smaller role for Ducky, so I don't know where that will go.
ReplyDeleteYes finally his a main star thank god can't wait to see him on the theme
ReplyDeletei wounder if there going to more episode about Palmer. We might get to see his brother or mother hopeful.
ReplyDeleteHis being in ncis for f...ing 8 years it about time.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take 8 years to become a star in a show. but now he is a star it's more exciting now that his is. i would if it would be like this if he was a star ages ago would we all be happy or be nothing.
ReplyDeleteyou should. iT'S BRILLIANT
