“It’s not a reboot," Bay said, reiterating that the new film will have an all-new cast. "That’s maybe the wrong word. I don’t want to say 'reboot' because then people will think we’re doing a 'Spider-Man' and starting from the beginning. We’re not. We’re taking the story that you’ve seen — the story we’ve told in three movies already — and we’re taking it in a new direction. But we’re leaving those three as the history. It all still counts... We’re moving on to something different.”
Though the script, currently being drafted by Ehren Kruger, is not yet final, Bay hints that one place the fourth film may go is into outer space.
"That feels like the way to go, doesn’t it?" says Bay. "I want to go a little off [the planet] but I don’t want to go too sci-fi. I still want to keep it grounded."

If there are humans in the story, Bay, please don't make them too weird/idiotic. I hated that in the 3 other movies and the general idiotic humor. This series eventually needs a reboot in my opinion only for that. Transformers: Prime cartoon is better than these movies. The best thing about the movies is the robots forms/the visuals. The transformations are awesome. And the music was really good too.
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious what they plan for the 4th. If they're going to make the movie to take place after the 3rd, who will be the villain?
Still haven't seen the third one, tbh.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to it
ReplyDeleteCan't wait because I love the franshise.
ReplyDeleteWait, there's going to be another one?
ReplyDeleteMichael Bay doesn't want to say reboot because of what he's doing to TMNT (which is going to be a disaster and somebody is going to get fired when the box office numbers come in). I don't know how that franchise made money, nobody I know has seen the last two films but I guess somebody had to have seen it and liked it, smh
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this movie and i will looking forward to this movie.
ReplyDeleteI used to like the TMNT as a kid, those 2 movies that I believe were made in the 80s or 90s.
ReplyDeleteMy latter comments were about the Transformer films. I am Transformers fan from way back and after the first movie I was left feeling ripped off. The visuals were beautiful and stunning but the story was lacking. As for the former comments:I am a die hard comic book fan and TMNT was one of the best light hearted, independent series, ever, especially to have come from Mirage. There are four TMNT movies, the first in 1989, the second 1991, the third in 1993 and the fourth (that should be stricken from the record) was done in 2007 and shouldn't count because it was done in CGI and not live action. 80's baby and proud, some of the best (and worst) pop culture phenomena came out that decade.
