And the amazing news just keep pouring in :
HBO has given a pilot order to Cold War spy drama The Missionary.
Aaron Paul (Big Love, Breaking Bad) is in talks for the lead in this project written by Charles Randolph (The Life of David Gale, The Interpreter) and produced by Stephen Levinson & Mark Wahlberg (Boardwalk Empire, In Treatment, Entourage, How to Make it in America) as well as best-selling author Malcolm Gladwell.
Set in Berlin in the late 1960s, The Missionary centers on a young American missionary (Aaron Paul) who becomes involved with the Central Intelligence Agency.

I don't know about you, but that's my face right now :
Yes this is great! If it goes ahead we won't be missing Aaron from our screens for very long, very welcome indeed!
ReplyDeleteThey had me at HBO but Cold War espionage premise AND Aaaron Paul? Wow!
ReplyDeleteBring it on!
Oh wow, this sounds fantastic :D
ReplyDeleteYeah! Ever since Rubicon i've been waiting for this!
ReplyDeleteThey had me at Aaron Paul tbh :D
ReplyDeleteSounds great!! Can´t wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteWOW. This looks really outstanding.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Hopefully the pilot will be picked up. Of course, a lot has to happen before then, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Also, if Tom Wlaschiha won't be in Game of Thrones, this could be the perfect opportunity to see a man back on HBO in another role.
ReplyDeleteHuh... could be interesting....
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited! HBO, Aaron Paul and espionage - this sounds like a recipe for epic win!
ReplyDeleteYa! My thought process when reading this exactly!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really intriguing, especially if it will be set in Berlin. They better get the German quotes correct. :)
