     i think if ABC was smart and wants to ensure big premiere numbers they wont disclose who's contracts of the remaining cast was renewed.  That was a huge error on their part in my opinion with the finale.

    Honestly, I kinda hope Mark dies.  It would be the perfect ending, for him to end up with Lexie.

    I totally agree. I was happy when I saw this post. It would be best if Mark dies and joins Lexie, it would be a perfect ending for the couple plus I doubt Mark will have any stable sane relationship after that heartbreaking scene. It's like Alex, his soulmate is Izzie and without her he hasn't had any decent love interest.

    You know, I'm okay if he doesn't survive. I made peace with it pretty quickly when it looked like he was going to die right after Lexie. I'd definitely miss him, though.

     yeah it was stupid! we knew it was either Lexie Arizona or Mark before the finale even aired.. it would be better for the ratings if ABC didn't release this  contract news (about who else could possibly die) until the premiere airs in September..

    if Shonda really thoughy they were MFEO then he's gonna die. It wouldn't be wise from her part to have Mark marrying Julia or some other chick .

    i actually want him to die.. it would be a propper ending, and a way for him and lexie to be finally together

    That's a big problem for pretty much EVERY show nowadays. You can always guess who is going to live or die based on contract renewals.

    As much as I hate the idea of Mark dying it makes sense, he is the one fighting to survive.

    The others don't have life threatening injuries. Arizona has a broken leg, however saying that, she was spitting up blood, she could have a punctured lung. Derek has a huge gash in his arm which could cause long term nerve damage can he still be a neuro surgeon.

    Now with Lexie dead that leaves a position vacant at Seattle Grace for April.

    Season 9 hopefully will start with the rescue of our beloved doctors out in the wood, no time jumps.

    I'd get it if Mark died,even if it would kill me (cause losing one of my boys - Alex and Mark are my boys BTW - *sniffles*) but on the flip side it would apease my shipper heart somewhat (you know in that tragic romance sence). But on the flipside of the flipside, Callie losing her BFF and Sofia losing her dad.... maybe a little too tragic.... I go back and forth on this...
    However one less reason to get all invested in the show... and seeing as it hasn't been all that great lately I wouldn't mind to have another excuse to not watch religiously.

    I like him,his character in the show but if he doesn't make it i'm fine with that too. But people why does everyone think if he dies,or should die that he will be with Lexie? Do you guys know something that i don't?

    I half hope Mark survives, half hope he doesn't. He's hilarious, and I'd definitely miss him on the show, but like other people've been saying, it's his and Lexie's perfect ending. I'm torn.

     I realize that but i do not understand why people automatically think  they will be together? With his past behavior he'll be lucky if he even winds up finding peace and joy ever after...not even getting into the "God" part. I just find the sentiment and saying absurd..

    I love Mark and all but  would sort of prefer if he didn't survive. I don't think I'd be able to watch the character move on after Lexie's death.

    it would be a good ending but what about Addison?  Since it's PP's last season or so it sounds he could also run off and be with her at some point this season.  I know Lexis is his soul mate but I would settle for Addison.

    Addison has long moved on though. She's currently in a triangle with two men on PP and she's either gonna end up with one of them or her son, Henry, is her happy ending. I don't think there's room for anyone from GA in her life anymore.

    Seems a bittersweet goodbye and end to the storyline of Mark and Lexie. Don't get me wrong, I love them but it will never be the same without Lexie :(
