Former Doctor Who star Caroline John has died. The actress - who played Liz Shaw on the BBC sci-fi drama - passed away on June 5, the show's official Twitter account has confirmed. John featured in a single season of Doctor Who in 1970, appearing alongside Jon Pertwee's third Doctor.
