  1. I can't wait to see the episode, already looking good by just knowing the title

  2. What is wrong with that? Before the first Dr. Who ended with Sylvester McCoy, we saw the Daleks a good deal. We loved it. New stories and enemies were always welcomed, but the Daleks were special.

  4. Not a huge fan of the Daleks I still think their best episode in Nu Who is their first appearance, it was simply yet effective.

  5. OT:Is it no longer possible to subscribe to Comments?

  6. They have to appear in every season or not at all, blame Terry Nation trust for that :p Plus, the Daleks are the iconic enemy of the Doc...the merchandise flies off the shelf ;)

  7. I'm pretty sure that BBC America will broadcast it the same evening that BBC 1 do like they did last year

  8. Directly above the 'Leave a message' box there is a drop down tab next to the 'Star' box on the right hand side.

  9. Just that the more they appear, the weaker they are as villains. Just look at them appearing in rainbow colours in Season 5.

  10. I'm a fan, but they were not used well beyond the first series episode "Dalek". Given what I've heard about the plot of the series seven opener, I'm cautiously optimistic we'll finally see another good Dalek story. If I'm honest, a little over half the Dalek stories in the original series were rather crap. I always liked the Cybermen more. Wish NuWho would do them right.

  11. What do you mean they have to appear? Sounds interesting.

  12. They were created by Terry Nation therefore his family hold the copyright for them. afaik there was a bit of a struggle getting them in the show from 2005, the contract that was decided on was that they would appear each season or not at all.

  13. The kids absolutely love the 'rainbow coloured' Daleks, I've only seen adults not liking them much

  14. But what did they do except expand merchandising? Nothing. There wasn't even a point to there being an episode.

  15. I'm sorry if you feel they did nothing for you, but millions of others like them. I can tell by the way you are posting that you are never going to believe that many, many people hold a different view to you, meh...

  16. Sounds like they lucked out there, though this might cause future dalek stories to feel forced (though with Moffat in charge I really doubt it)
