Criminal Minds has big love for Jeanne Tripplehorn — the venerable CBS procedural has tapped the actress to join the cast as a series regular.
I haven't really seen her in anything, but I'm interested to see what her character's like. She seems older-ish.

ReplyDeleteGood for her but for how long? The previous that was suppose to be regular was in only a couple episodes then they just canned her. So nice choice but for how long?

ReplyDeleteReally happy with this casting - she's great. I'm glad they haven't gone down the Seaver route and tried to shoehorn in a younger person into the BAU. Rossi and Prentiss worked well eventually and I hope Tripplehorn does as well.
ReplyDeleteRachel Nichols was fired because the fans were outraged at how young she was. They wanted someone "worthy of being on the BAU" which warrants someone older, like Jeanne Tripplehorn here. They're hoping that the fans will be more accepting of the replacement because of her age.
ReplyDeleteYeah i get that one, but no matter how old you are if the fans don't like you or even if you don't for example make remembering role from the first couple of episodes it won't matter the age, the fans won't like your character no matter the actress.
