The Voice - Two Cycles Next Season
13 May 2012
According to Vulture, NBC's The Voice will air not one but two seasons next year, with one cycle in the fall and another in the spring. Also, Greenblatt talks about possibly having different judges on the show as well. To read more about the super-sized Voice click here.

I dunno, does it harm 'Dancing With the Stars'? I don't even watch 'The Voice', but considering it's their only cash cow, I can see why they'd want to do it. Fox airs both 'X Factor' and 'American Idol'. Honestly there's way too many singing competitions right now.
ReplyDeleteGet Christina away. I really wanted to shut her piehole up this season. Darn, she says so many stupid things on The Voice.
ReplyDeleteI just think there are way too many reality shows as it is, surely people will get bored of it? Perhaps not I don't see the appeal of them to begin with!
ReplyDeleteHaving two cycles of THE VOICE is good though because this means that they will have a lead-in for SMASH when it returns in midseason. I guess REVOLUTION may be a 13-episode per season show then?
ReplyDeleteI hope so. If Revolution comes back, make it 13 per season. Dont fill it up with fillers.
ReplyDeletePeople still watch American Idol. It`s not maybe in the numbers as it used to be. But hell, it`s better than what NBC gets for the most part. To say so, NBC would rather whore out a show to try and get other shows to benfit from it, than just one show per season.
ReplyDeleteLOL please. Christina spilled the truth and is one of the main reasons why people tune in the first place. Keep hating Stephen, it won't make your Norwegian piehole any less irrelevant.
ReplyDeleteLove & Light.
Lmao, really? He's absolutely accurate. Christina as a judge is just pathetic. The only way she gets any kind of attention is either showing a ton of cleavage or bitching at Adam. If it wasn't for either of those things, she wouldn't have a thing to do.
ReplyDeleteHer "bashing" is just tiresome and makes her seem like a stuck up piece of crap. I mean, I'd be mad to if I were her and your constantly getting shown up by the other coach's ability to coach. Especially Adam. People can say what they want about him ( why should they? ) but he knows how to take risks and make them work..
Get Christina off the show, it's evident she doesn't want to be there anyway.
No. Christina provides actual criticims, has vocal talent, is a great coach and has an actual personality.
ReplyDeleteNow, you GOT to be kidding me with your praising of Adam's coaching abilities. I mean, his bad song choices, the fact that he didn't even knew what was going on in his team's own performances, or the downright disinterest he had in some of his contestants. I was watching when Christina rightfully called called Tony Lucca "one-dimensional" but I watching too when Adam said he didn't feel a connection with Katrina and didn't even expect her to make it past those last weeks.
Adam didn't take risk, he and Tony just used the controversy to create hype around Tony. Without Christina, no Baby One More Time, no 99 Problems (that was just a cover of Hugo's version, no risk.) And, if anything Christina's decision to have people like Moses and Chris Mann in her team were risks that she took. She and Cee Lo had the most interesting teams this year.
Christina will go on showing her cleavage and her diamond-incrusted diapers live on TV if she wants to. And that's what she wants.
I know that NBC is desperate and is just riding it's strongest horse in the race, but it seems like overkill especially with the other talent competition reality shows on the other networks: X Factor, AI, DWTS....
ReplyDeleteThis will probably harm the impact of the show, talk about overkill
