The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues as SUPERNATURAL enters its eighth season. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat. Over the years, after dozens of bloody adventures, they have faced everything from the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother to vampires, ghosts, shapeshifters, angels and fallen gods. They even came face to face with Lucifer and the Four Horsemen in averting the Apocalypse. With the help of allies - both human and supernatural - they've discovered that every threat they vanquish opens a new door for evil to enter in. In the show's seventh season, their hunt for the dreaded Leviathans - monstrous creatures escaped from Purgatory - has cost them dearly. Claiming the life of their best friend and father-figure, Bobby Singer, and shattering their protector, the fallen angel Castiel, Sam and Dean's battle to somehow defeat the age-old Leviathan threat will take everything they've got. As dawn arrives after their endless struggle and sacrifice to defeat the world's evils, they know that, come nightfall, something otherworldly - something supernatural - will claw its way out of the shadows, demanding their attention.
The series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester.
SUPERNATURAL is from Warner Bros. Television in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, with executive producers McG ("Charlie's Angels," "The O.C."), Robert Singer ("Midnight Caller"), Jeremy Carver ("Being Human") and Phil Sgriccia.

That's pretty vague. But I'm so excited for season eight, especially since it'll be airing earlier in the week.
ReplyDeleteVague is better. We didn't get anything from last year's press release. This one is more doable.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the vaguer the better.
ReplyDeleteGives the writers time to think up a good coherent exciting plot for the Winchesters.
So... Leviathan will be gone by the time the dust settles tomorrow evening, or would that be jumping to conclusions?
ReplyDeleteSo good to see that :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess there is no hope to see bobby back and alive then?
♥Cas is the bros protector♥
Is tomorrow gonna be the end of the leviathans? cause it really doesn't seem like it...
ReplyDeleteOkay that basically tells us nothing.
ReplyDeleteALL I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW MUCH I'LL GET TO SEE CASTIEL.
ReplyDelete*sigh* but that would be too spoilery.
Vague in and of itself, but typical of Supernatural. I think we will continue with the Leviathans for at least a bit. The release is not past tense about them.
ReplyDeleteRemember the "ever changing landscape" line from last year's press release? I guess that meant that they were moving out of Bobby's living room. I'm reading this one as they have no clue what next year's storyline is yet.
ReplyDeleteFor now I simply enjoy the knowledge that he will be in :-)
ReplyDeleteThat acutally seems more like a press release for the Season Finale, than it does previewing Season 8.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be vague. They haven't started writing next season yet.
ReplyDeleteDon't think so.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite confident Dick will die, and God emergency note state that if you cut the head of the leviathan, the rest will fall.
Yes, just, hopefully a little bit more than he was in season 7.
ReplyDeletethese all recaps of season 7 in which date began season 8 press release means (D.A.T.E) no this
ReplyDeleteIt seems like battle is present tense. I could be reading it wrong.
ReplyDeleteI also heard the show will be paired with Arrow on Wednesday nights.
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly,I always like the first press releases for the new seasons.I know they don't offer any new information and that they're basically recaps for everything we've already seen, but they make them so epic and dramatic and dark. They're just very cool(I'm pretty sure no one understands what I'm talking about)!
ReplyDeleteIf Crowley pulls a fast one, all bets are off.
ReplyDeleteI do; but then Supernatural is mysterious and dark in itself so it follows that any story releases must be too. :)
ReplyDeleteI just hope next season is thrilling!
Better sounding then the last few years. Castiel their protecter lol Yeah, he sure did a lot of protecting the boys in Season 4 and 6 when he used ,lied, and manipulated them both all of these two seasons. He sure protected Sam this season when he intentionally took down his wall and hes responsible for Bobbys death Which the show runners most likelywill never acknowledge
ReplyDeleteThis show needs to move forward and sadly Bobby needs to go into the light and Castiel and the Angel mythology need to go for good this time
Love how you skipped over Season 5, where he literally died for them over and over again.
ReplyDeleteAlso love how you made him the scapegoat for the apocalypse, blaming him for letting Sam do as he pleased, rather than Ruby who actually directed Sam to cause the apocalypse.
Especially love how you blame Bobby's death on him, as if Castiel wanted Bobby to die and pulled the trigger (oh wait, that was Dick), and also love how you don't mention Castiel is the reason Sam is now whole again, without needing a wall anymore, by taking in the damage himself willingly on his own.
Yeah. Love how inaccurate and biased your comment was.
AKA We don't know where they're going in season 8 yet. I'm good with that. lol
ReplyDeleteGreat in fact. Clean slate and no returning to revisit S6-7's leftovers.
Absolutely AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteThese 2 GODS (J2) should stay on the tv screen forever and ever!!
That doesn't explain too much...
ReplyDeleteYou are right, they don't explain anything.
ReplyDeleteI'm just going to revel in the fact that Cas is going to be in season 8, while laughing at you. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Season 8.
ReplyDeleteAgree with that :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm getting the feeling that the Leviathans will be back next season. I'm good with that provided they ramp up the danger and make the fight more personal.
ReplyDeleteI think Crowley is going tu pull a fast one in both the Winchesters and the leviathans.
ReplyDeleteNo Bobby no Cas xD.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah we all know that there is always going to be something evil to fight.
i understand haha
ReplyDeleteSo it pretty much just did a simple summary of the last seven seasons... But oh well... I'm still super excited and cant wait for tomorrows finale! and then season eight in September =D
ReplyDeleteJust 3 more hours until we all find out :3
ReplyDeleteIt's vague, of course, but I wouldn't expect anything less. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeletei hope luke skywalker comes back in the next season fingers crossed
ReplyDeleteRemember how Crowly told Sam to prevent the levis from "regrouping"? Dick also said something about having to bite and claw his way to the top. I'm guessing Edgar will lead the leviathans. Or maybe they are going to repeat the same old hell scenario, with two different factions of levis. Guess we'll just have to just wait and see.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Season 8!!! I KNOW it will be AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteI honesty cant wait for season 8 and the fact that the cw has stated there is going to be more seasons to come. I LOVE IT!!!!!! I will watch even if it goes till I'm a billion lol Sam and dean are my boys and Im never letting go. <#
ReplyDeleteim just waiting to see season 7 then i can add in here
ReplyDeleteseason 8 release date plzzzzz..........................cant wait for that shit,,,,,,,,,,,
ReplyDeleteI don't think so because Dean killed Dick and after that Dean and Cas got sent to Purgatory and Sam was alone and it ended with Dean surrounded by monsters alone in purgatory so i think that's where they're gonna start off at.
ReplyDeletethat is the most great thing i've heard since a damn month
ReplyDeletei'm so excited for the 8th season
when does it come out on dvd
