I think this is going to be a pretty awesome conclusion to the season. I'm trying not to get my expectations too high, since that always comes to bite me (kind of like a Leviathan.. heh..), but I think it's going to be great. The source of the bone is still gnawing at me, though.
Impala \o/ About freaking time :( What I see here I liked a lot! And I love that you pointed out that "don't get killed" means "I love you" in Winchester-lingo.
But the finale has Dean & Sam, separating again. Sera wrote this one. She seems to like separating them, in Two Minutes to Midnight, Let it Bleed, now this one. Boo.
At first, I thought that little glimpse of Bobby, while Sam is being choked, meant he is going to help save him. But when I slowed it down, there is no other reflection but Bobby. Perhaps Bobby is possessing someone while he chokes Sam. Now that would be an unbearable end to Bobby.
I get why other fans are excited about it, but... I'm just not.
Promos are often not representative of the episode, though. I think especially for the finale, they'd want to keep a lot of it under-wraps. So a part of me is still optimistic. I dunno. I think the editing could have been better, at least.
I was VERY impressed with this episode. It was nice to get even a hint of the backstory about EVE. It sounds like the writers are outright saying she was/is related to the Leviathan. I really liked the idea of Bobby actually possessing a human. I think it is entirely possible that they may ressurect him. I am hoping they will not though. The send off in Death's Door was too poignant to cheapen it with bringing him bck. Other than that a fantastic episode although the recent episodes are not quite capturing the horror that the Leviathans instilled into the storyline earlier in the season. I was hoping they might actually kill, burn and then behead Edgar. I cannot wait until next week.
The writers have actually started something I did not think was possible earlier in the season. They actually have me LOOKING forward to the season finale. It will be interesting next season! Congratulations to Sera & Company for the upswing in the stories recently! Thanks!
Aw, come on boys, haven't you learnt from watching horror movies and from your own experiences, that it's never a good idea to separate? It's right up there with taking showers on dark, stormy nights.
I am so underwhelmed by the end of this season it's unreal. Never before have i been so bored near season end nor so unbothered for a finale. It's so depressing to me, neither Sam and Dean are getting any emotional story here it's all the secondary characters I really wanted to see them both get given the emotional resonance they own in a finale, this season is just depressing me. Sam fans have been robber their pay off for his hell wall by literally him being completely fine now and it erased and Dean's been given no story other than being grumpy and drinking all season, short changed all around.
A righteous mortal has to be Dean. I think Castiel is going to take that little extra rib bone, or he might lose a toe. It just says a bone, it doesn't say it has to be something important.
I can't wait, but I'm dreading it too because I think Bobby is going to go really bad and we are going to have to send him off with a little flask bonfire *sniff*.
Didn't they say in the last episode that it has to be as good and light as the Leviathan's are dark? (yeah, that's seriously paraphrased, but I don't have the energy to go back and see what exactly was said haha) I don't know that Dean fits that description, righteous man or not. I think it's also too easy... I think they're going to have to work for it a little!
Maybe almost strangling Sam will be the waking call Bobby needs to understand he cannot remain like this ... or the waking call Dean needs to put Bobby to rest.
Sam has already reached the conclusion that they must do something. Dean is not there yet so Sam wait. the important thing here, is that It must be a decision they both agree on. It would be shady if one of them salt and burn Bobby without the other consent.
What I said is that seeing Sam hurt by bobby could be what Dean need to do it. Not in the sense that Dean is the one who have to do it but in the sense he will be ready to do it, on the same mindset than Sam is now IMO.
Personnally, I hope neither of them will have to do it. I still believe that human bobby will be back ;-)
It's possible. A member on a forum I frequent posted a "set report" - I can't find the link atm - where the set visitor said he/she didn't want to spoil who the driver in the promo was but that it was not Dean.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw, I can't wait. And the "Don't get killed" was adorable and totally means "I love you". Which I want a real version of soon, by the way.
ReplyDeleteCarry on my wayward Son!
ReplyDeleteThere'll be peace when you are doneLay your weary head to restDON'T YOU CRY NO MORE
;-P I have nothing else to say
Argh, already the finale (T.T). It's way too soon. But looks awesome! Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI think we are in for an awesome finale. I can hardly wait.

ReplyDeleteNot terribly exciting-looking.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel like I'm just watching Supernatural to see Misha Collins' face on-screen. This is one of those times.

How about baby's return? :)

Metallicar is back. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteYou might try NOT trolling. It is obvious. Instead of acting that way share something constructive. not foolish. Seriously give it a try.

LOL. I'm not trolling. I find the promo lackluster and anti-climactic. I'm sure the actual episode will be better, though.
ReplyDeleteThe return of Baby the Metallicar! Looks like the big guns are all in for the season finale!!!
ReplyDeleteAw, come on boys, haven't you learnt from watching horror movies and from your own experiences, that it's never a good idea to separate? It's right up there with taking showers on dark, stormy nights.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me really nervous...
I have to admit I fast forward every time his face comes on, i imagine we should never watch this show together.

ReplyDeleteThey sure had better promo than this one. For a finale, it's kind of meeh but hey Cas is on board so promo or not, consider me excited ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt would be a fight to death for the remote control :-D
ReplyDeletethe guard. Probably a leviathan.
ReplyDeleteJust noticed that Meg is standing in the background when Crowley seems to give a sample of his blood to the brothers.
ReplyDeleteMeh on the promo as a whole in terms of "vibe" but YAY! for Baby and Crowley and Meg and Castiel cameos!
ReplyDeleteMaybe almost strangling Sam will be the waking call Bobby needs to understand he cannot remain like this ... or the waking call Dean needs to put Bobby to rest.
ReplyDeleteBobby ghost turning bad is an emotional story for the brothers.
ReplyDeleteHe used to be good and light. He looks like he is starting to get the joy of life back a bit, but I see what you mean.
ReplyDeletesorry but why does dean have to ? , that's kinndy shady for sam to ask that of him , dean was closer that what sam was to bobby so...
ReplyDeleteI didn't say Sam will ask Dean to do it.
ReplyDeleteSam has already reached the conclusion that they must do something. Dean is not there yet so Sam wait.

ReplyDeleteo.O
ReplyDeleteWhy am I more shocked to imagine Dean trusting Meg with the Impala, than I was to see Dean trust Meg with AsylumCas?
:-D
